Transcript
00:00Mr India Rajkumar Naanwala, that's the name of a stall, a man who builds naan and mussels.
00:05A Delhi-based water builder, who despite being a Mr India champion, still sells naan on the streets to feed
00:11his family.
00:22This is Rajkumar from Bihar's Chhapra, whose story is as inspiring as it is heartbreaking.
00:27By day, he runs naan stall. By passion, he is a dedicated bodybuilder, earning him the name Mr India Naanwala.
00:34But his journey into bodybuilding didn't begin in a gym. It began with loss, poverty and survival.
00:40His father passed away, he says, when he was just six months old.
00:43His mother, struggling to raise multiple children, even battled depression.
00:48Rajkumar grew up doing odd jobs, cleaning, cooking and more.
01:10Bodybuilding was always his dream, but survival came first.
01:14Years later, after setting up a small naan stall, he says he finally saved enough to chase that dream.
01:19It was in 2016, at 38, the age when many slow down, that Rajkumar started from scratch.
01:31After walking 8-9 hours at his stall, he would train relentlessly.
01:35His coach says his biggest strength is simple. He never gets tired.
01:39Seeing his dedication, his trainer began coaching him for free.
01:42And that's when everything changed. Rajkumar started competing and kept winning.
01:47Not one, not two, but 12 championships.
02:07But success in medals did not translate into stability in life.
02:11Today, despite all his achievements, Rajkumar still runs a naan stall in Delhi to make ends meet.
02:17And yet, his dreams remain unchanged.
02:19My dream is that I am going to go to my country and go to my country for my country.
