00:00I want to ask you, first of all, what's been achieved militarily from a U.S. point of view?
00:04And are we any closer to finding an end to this crisis?
00:10Well, it's good to be with you. So far, the military operations have succeeded in
00:19completely eliminating Iran's air defenses, striking leadership targets, including the late
00:25now former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and other top Iranian generals. Much of Iran's ballistic
00:33missile capability has been destroyed. Much of the drone capability has been destroyed,
00:40though some remains. The Iranian Navy has largely been eliminated, but Iran still retains the ability
00:49to launch small boats to harass merchant shipping in the Gulf. So from the offensive perspective,
00:59the war is going well, says President Trump. But from a political perspective, it's much more
01:06open-ended. Iran, on the other hand, can also claim some offensive successes, having succeeded in
01:15putting a hold on commerce going in and out of the Gulf, obviously arousing the anger of the Gulf Arab
01:24countries. And at this point, it's clearly going to be an endurance contest to see which side's defenses
01:34consequences can eventually prevail.
