00:34Initially we saw a Void Strike. She can charge that up and attack with it.
00:38You know, in our suite of combat where you're blocking and assassinating,
00:41and it matters whether people are aware of you or not,
00:44whether you assassinate them or you produce a fatality.
00:48It's a fast-paced sort of combinatorial system.
00:53And adding in something that lets you just, like, drive one enemy back
00:58and destroy them, a Void Strike, is something we wanted to do.
01:02Her mobility power is called this place where she can leave a marker in the world
01:07and snap back to it. It's like Billie Lurk can be in two places at once
01:11and then decide which one of them is the right place that she should be.
01:15You mentioned something very interesting about how Billie gets her powers.
01:19She's not actually marked.
01:20Right.
01:21So there are new gadgets and gear, and those are connected to her powers.
01:24Tell me what that means.
01:25Billie derives her powers from artifacts that are tied to the Void.
01:29She has the sword, again, that was used to originally sacrifice the person
01:34who became the Outsider, but the arm that she has causes it to deconstruct
01:38and reconstruct so she can, like, summon it out of nowhere, basically.
01:42She has the sliver of the eye in her eye, which is an artifact from a previous divinity
01:48before the Outsider.
01:50She has this talisman from the love of her life, Deirdre, that lets her listen to the whispers of rats.
01:59We also have one cool gadget that I want to ask you about called the Hook Mine.
02:03The Hook Mine is something that the game design team prototyped and worked on
02:08and just put a lot of love into.
02:10But the idea is that you can leave it on a wall or floor or ceiling
02:13and magnetically it will drag an enemy over to it
02:17and hang them from that spot or whatever.
02:20It's intended as a non-lethal device.
02:22However, if you put multiple up, it will pull the enemy from different sides
02:25and eventually rip them apart.
02:27So it can be quite gory.
02:29It became one of our favorite toys across the Dishonored games.
