00:49If I could sum up Crystal in one word, it would be dream. Shorthand for living the dream.
00:58Crystal Dynamics was founded in 1992. We've been around for 25 years. We've made over 30 games in that time.
01:05Some of the most popular ones are in the Tomb Raider series. And we're also known for the legacy of
01:10Kane games, as well as the Gex games.
01:13Crystal was sort of founded on that principle of a next generation game studio.
01:19It's always about quality. Putting quality on screen that every day, every pixel, everything we do matters.
01:24It takes a lot of vision, but I honestly believe it comes down to the people. And that's kind of
01:28what this studio has in spades.
01:30It is a collection of craftsmen that really want to make the game of their career.
01:36For me, the thing that makes Crystal special is the people. There are immensely talented people that work here.
01:42We work hard towards a common goal and a common level of quality.
01:47We think about it as make games that matter. We think about quality as job one.
01:51We need more great people that want to be part of this type of family.
01:54More of those craftsmen who are like, I want to come make the game of my career.
01:57They have to want to make great games so bad that they can taste it.

02:12We were all very excited when we got the Tomb Raider franchise.
02:15There were all sorts of ideas about how can we re-envision Lara, her mechanics, the animation and control in
02:21order to make it more fluid.
02:22This was our chance to prove something.
02:24When we were shipping Tomb Raider 2013, we knew we had something special, but we never rest on our laurels.
02:31We set the bar as high as we possibly can.
02:37It's an incredible opportunity to work on an Avengers game.
02:40It's a lot of pressure to get it right, but our team is so dedicated.
02:43On the day that we announced to the public that we were working on the Avengers,
02:47Stan Lee tweeted about a game I was working on, and I could just feel the childhood version of myself
02:53freaking out.
02:54New Avengers game? Hey, get ready to assemble for this one, true believers.
03:01Marvel being able to look at us and say, you know what, you guys have taken an iconic Lara Croft
03:06and turned it into something new.
03:07Take our crown jewels, figure out what that would look like and what we can do next with the Avengers.
03:12And I literally cannot wait to start showing people where we're going and what we're going to be building,
03:17because it's going to really knock people just flat on their backs when they see what we're cooking up here.
03:27We're close to something, Jonah. I can feel it.
03:30Go all the way through our pantheon of products, all the way up to the current Tomb Raiders,
03:34taking all of that and saying, these last 25 years, project that for the next 25 years.
03:38Sticking true to ourselves is the most important thing we could do.
03:42We want to continue to push on the boundaries of games that people care about.
03:47I'm absolutely convinced that Crystal Dynamics will still be making unbelievable experiences that you cannot wait to play,
03:54and it'll be at the forefront of whatever the technology, however we're consuming our interactive entertainment at the time,
