00:00Yeah, Adrian, I specifically with you, I'm loving seeing you back on the screen.
00:06I know you have retreated to a quieter life in Texas with your family, and I love that for you.
00:13So I guess my big question is what drew you to this project?
00:18Why now?
00:20How did you get plucked out of your perfect farm and back on our screens?
00:26Well, the fact that we filmed in Austin helped.
00:29That's for sure.
00:30There we go.
00:31But at the end of the day, I really only take roles that reflect my values or that speak to
00:38me in some way.
00:40I'm in a position, luckily, that I don't have to just take whatever I can get.
00:44So this was a project that met my standards, I guess, just in terms of quality of filmmaking, storyline, and
00:52then the character itself really spoke to me.
00:56You know, as a Bitcoin guy, you know, a Bitcoin maxi, and somebody who believes in crypto as an ideology
01:07and a philosophy, it was almost tailor-made for me.
01:11Do you foresee yourself continuing to take on more acting roles, or are you committed?
01:17Crypto investments?
01:21Or crypto investments, yeah.
01:23Yeah.
01:23So I act to make money to throw it away in crypto.
01:26That's how it works, you know?
01:28So, yeah, in terms of acting, you know, I've been working with Garrett on several different projects as of late.
01:35So we have a suite, almost, you know, a little, you know, a network of projects.
01:42But this one in particular, I was really excited about, just because it has so much bigger potential.
01:48So I'm really looking forward to continuing to evolve the self-custody brand into a larger project.
02:00What do you mean by that?
02:02Like, are we talking?
02:03Garrett, would be cool.
02:06Oh, I think that's perfect, man.
02:07I mean, the fact that it's $200 billion worth of Bitcoin has been lost or stolen beyond recovery.
02:15And there's so many stories just like this.
02:17This is inspired off of real stories.
02:19But there's so many people that have lost access to their seed phrase, to their PIN code.
02:24And it's the modern-day bank robber stories.
02:28Yeah.
02:29But it's not regulated the same way that it would be for your cash in a bank.
02:33So it's a really crazy concept.
02:36Okay, so going back to this short, do you guys foresee yourself making this a series, a longer movie?
02:44What are the goals?
02:45We are in talks all of the above.
02:49And obviously, Henry Cejudo, who is on the call as well.
02:53You know, Henry is an Olympic gold medalist, UFC champion, a good friend of mine.
02:58I met him through Mike Tyson, and he crushes it in the movie, in his first time acting, after just
03:06retiring in December.
03:09And, you know, I just think the concept around this story, being self-custody, that you are the custodian of
03:15that money.
03:15There is no bank.
03:17There's no bank that's taking custody of your money.
03:19It's so intriguing to me, and all these stories around it.
03:22And absolutely, we look to make it into – we're in talks with shows.
03:27We're showrunners.
03:28We're in talks with features.
03:30So, yeah.
03:31Okay.
03:32So, Adrian, this thing blows up.
03:34You guys and your wildest dreams come true with this project.
03:39Are you moving back to California, or do they have to come to you and film in Texas?
03:45I mean, the truth is the industry is moving to me as it is.
03:50There we go.
03:51There's $2.5 billion that the Texas state government just put into film and television projects in Texas.
04:03They're building three movie studios not too far from me.
04:08I don't see any reason why we couldn't just continue to film in Texas.
04:13Not that I don't have a soft spot in my heart for California, but my family's in Texas, so I
04:20want to stay close to home.
04:21Yeah, totally, totally.
04:23And you have two under two, correct?
04:26Two under three now.
04:28Two under three.
04:29How does that look like for you?
04:32I'm sure it's pretty crazy.
04:33It's a party.
04:35It's a total party.
04:36I love it, absolutely.
04:39One thing, you know, I got to say that we all share here on this call, Garrett and Henry, is
04:46we're committed, devoted fathers.
04:49So when we're not talking shop and talking about business, we're talking about how much we love our kids.
04:55Yeah, that's really, really important.
04:57And I think working parents have just this understanding with each other that it's much harder to wear these multiple
05:06hats, especially when, like, your priority is your kids, but your passion is your craft.
05:12And you want to be able to-
05:13Are you a mother?
05:14I am.
05:16And you know, you get it.
05:18Yeah, it's hard.
05:19That's the hardest job right there, being a mother.
05:22That's, it's, I applaud all mothers.
05:24I saw you recently met up with Jeremy Piven.
05:27How was that?
05:29Great.
05:30Yeah, Jeremy just moved to Texas.
05:32He moved to Austin.
05:33Oh, I love that.
05:34So then we have the entourage spinoff in the works, too, then.
05:38Yes.
05:38Yes.
05:39You're busy.
05:40We're ready to work.
05:42Until AI comes to drag us out of offset, we're ready to work.
05:46Who's going to run the ranch?
05:48Exactly.
05:49The AI.
05:52Yeah, every time they're like, AI's coming to take your job, I'm like, okay, when?
05:56Because I'm tired.
05:57Hurry up.
05:58Yeah.
