Queen guitarist Sir Brian May has reaped what he and other have sown after donating hundreds of daffodil bulbs to Elstead. The bulbs planted last October by the musician and volunteers are now in bloom, with the village's most famous resident checking out the results last Friday.

00:00I've got to say thank you to Brian, Elster's wonderful, most famous resident who's done this beautiful, beautiful thing.
00:06Well, all I want to say is thank you for your help, especially thank you for the children for looking
00:10after their ones so well.
00:12And thank you to everybody for not trampling on them while they were small.
00:16And I think we're going to try and plant a few more. Do you think that's a good idea?
00:19Yes!
00:20And you know the story, don't you? These are not what we ordered.
00:23Did you know that?
00:24We ordered these lovely white ones with yellow trumpets in the middle and they were going to smell wonderful.
00:29They're going to be great for the weddings and everything.
00:31But there was a mix-up in the order someplace and we got these.
00:36But I'm thinking really it's a lesson in life.
00:38You have to be thankful for what you get, right?
00:40And I think they're perfect, actually.
00:43So hurrah for the Daffodils.
00:45It makes our village a great place to be.
00:50It just adds to the wonderful place that we live in, in Elster.
00:56So let's just ask God to continue blessing on these daffodils and on each of them.
