00:08Ladies and gentlemen, we're shortly beginning our descent into a summary, so if I could ask you to fasten your
00:13seatbelts. Thank you.
00:30We have a situation.
00:34Kevin, I can't help you if you don't talk to me.
00:37I just want this to be over.
00:40But I need to do it in my own time, alright?
00:43I can't be rushed. I won't be rushed.
00:45Alright, no one is rushing you.
01:03Kevin, where are you going?
01:07Kevin, please calm down, sweetheart. I'm worried about you. What are you going up there for?
01:12Anthony, are you here?
01:55I wasn't expecting to be picked up.
01:57Your secretary, Rosalie, thought it would be a good idea.
02:00I'm Leo. It's a pleasure to meet you, Commissioner.
02:14I've been spending some time in London with my daughter.
02:20But I very much have been looking forward to coming home again.
02:26And what about you? You're working at Government House?
02:30Interning. It's been four months now and I'm totally loving it. The job, the island.
02:37I didn't know we had interns.
02:39There's a new business in tourism to bomb. George McCann heads it up.
02:44I'm sure if you know of him.
02:52Rosalie.
02:53Commissioner, I am so sorry to bother you.
02:55But I think you need to come straight to Government House.
03:11Is he still up there?
03:13Yes.
03:18What are all these new people doing here?
03:21They're Government advisors. Being bought in, you know, to oversee business.
03:25Business and tourism, I know.
03:27Kevin!
03:27But why here?
03:29Kevin!
03:30Please!
03:31Look, come back and talk!
03:34Deborah?
03:35Thank goodness you're here. George is on his way over.
03:37This is Commissioner Patterson.
03:39I need you to phone the fire brigade and an ambulance just in case and alert my team.
03:44Right.
03:49Kevin! My name is Commissioner Patterson. Perhaps we could talk.
03:54He shut down a few minutes ago. Just stop talking.
03:57If you could step aside.
04:09Kevin!
04:25Kevin!
04:26Oh, my God!
04:27Oh, no!
04:31Oh, no!
04:34Oh, no!
04:41Oh, my God!
05:09You should all head inside and wait for me there, please.
05:12Commissioner Paterson, George McCann, Kevin worked for me.
05:15Do we know yet why he might have...
05:16If you could just go inside and wait for me others, Mr McCann.
05:19Of course.
05:21Ah, emergency services are on their way.
05:25Paramedics are coming.
05:26And I spoke to Sergeant Fletcher at the police station.
05:29She's notifying our team.
05:31Sergeant Fletcher?
05:33Who is she?
05:46Say, is there a Sebastian Rose here?
05:53Anyone?
05:58All right.
06:07Well, I appreciate your attention.
06:10I said I am looking for a Sebastian Rose.
06:13Has anyone seen him?
06:15Yes, sir.
06:17That's me.
06:25Sebastian Rose.
06:26Except for short.
06:27Well, morning, Officer Rose.
06:30Matty Fletcher, I'm your new sergeant.
06:32It's good to meet you.
06:33Nice to meet you.
06:36So you have a fun night, then?
06:39Yeah, man.
06:39Partied hard.
06:40It was lit, you know?
06:41I am sorry to poop your party, but we've got a call out.
06:44Yeah?
06:46I mean, when duty calls, right?
06:48But, wait.
06:49How did you know I was here and how did you get your uniform?
06:52I got your home address off your file.
06:54I headed over to your house.
06:55You were up, but your mum was in, so we had a quick chat while she gave your uniform an
06:58eye on.
06:59She seems really cool.
07:00Anyway, she had told me that you'd been out at a beach party all night, which means you're
07:05either going to be at Turtle Bay or down here at Paradise Cove.
07:08And if you know anything about anything about a beach party, which I kind of just assumed
07:14you did, then you're going to be at Paradise Cove.
07:18So that's what I did and here I am.
07:21That answer your question?
07:22I guess so.
07:41Good morning.
07:42Good morning, Sarge.
07:43Good morning.
07:44Matty, officially, welcome to the team.
07:46Sorry you landed the Sunday shift on your first day.
07:49But, I made saffron buns.
07:52Thank you so much, Sarge.
07:55Mm, amazing.
07:59So what's your inspector learn?
08:01He's English, right?
08:08This, having me old mate, is what we call the business.
08:19Good morning, sir.
08:20Good morning, Inspector.
08:24We've got a case, I'll take it.
08:28He doesn't really do greetings.
08:31Sarge Matty Fletcher, it's great to meet you, Inspector.
08:35I was really enjoying my Sunday morning.
08:37Full English, last night's match of the day.
08:44It's his favourite TV show.
08:45He's totally obsessed with it.
08:47Mm.
08:51Officer Rose, you're on snaps.
08:53Al Cardenal.
08:54What's the story here, then?
08:56Victim's Kevin Felton.
08:58Worked as a tech consultant for the business and tourism team
09:00here at Government House.
09:02Seems he took his own life.
09:05We'll need post-mortem to confirm,
09:07but paramedics say injuries are consistent with a fall.
09:12Yeah.
09:13Well, just found this in his trouser pocket.
09:16I don't know what that's for.
09:17Must be the key to the roof door.
09:19He locked himself up there, so...
09:31Commissioner, welcome back.
09:33It's good to see you both.
09:35And you, sir.
09:36We really missed you.
09:38Didn't we, Inspector?
09:40Is that the victim's bag?
09:41Yes, this is the victim's bag.
09:44There's not much in it.
09:46A mobile phone,
09:48a wallet,
09:50and an empty sweet packet,
09:53another empty sweet packet,
09:54and a banana.
09:57Uneaten.
10:00Locked.
10:01One second.
10:02Sir, where are you?
10:04He hasn't changed then, I see.
10:07Not a bit.
10:14Appreciate it.
10:19Interesting.
10:21Notification from his bank,
10:223.26 this morning.
10:24$1,200 paid to Kariba Airlines.
10:28What time did he jump?
10:294.47.
10:31In here, in his emails.
10:34Ticket for a flight to the UK,
10:36due to depart this afternoon at 5pm.
10:39So, if Kevin Felton came to this building
10:42for the sole purpose of throwing himself off it,
10:45then why, just over an hour beforehand,
10:47was he forking out for a ticket back home
10:49later this same day?
10:51You're suggesting
10:53the victim didn't take his own light?
10:56I am indeed.
10:59Which means
11:01someone else did.
11:06I was at home asleep when Kevin phoned.
11:09Was just gone half past three in the morning.
11:11He sounded drunk, upset.
11:14Said he was coming here,
11:15and that he had enough and he couldn't do this anymore.
11:18Couldn't do what anymore?
11:20He'd had a tough time lately.
11:22His girlfriend split up with him
11:23and flew back to the UK.
11:25He was stuck on the island,
11:27living alone.
11:28And what would you say
11:28his demeanour was when you got here?
11:31I mean, he was always a bit on edge, right?
11:35He was an anxious kid, bless him.
11:37A bit socially awkward, you know?
11:39But this felt more intense.
11:42Kept saying he wanted things to be over,
11:44but needed it to be done in his own time.
11:47Well, that's when he went up on the roof.
11:49And I was going to follow him up,
11:51but Deborah arrived.
11:52Rosalie phoned me.
11:55Worried, so I jumped in my car
11:57and I got here as quick as I could,
11:58but next thing,
12:00Kevin locked the roof door.
12:01And that's when Deborah said
12:02I should phone you, Commissioner.
12:06This roof door key
12:08was in Kevin's pocket.
12:10You didn't have a spare
12:11you could have used to open the door.
12:13Well, there's never been another copy.
12:15People go up there to take their breaks,
12:17so we just leave it unlocked.
12:21And where were you all when you fell?
12:23I followed Commissioner Patterson up to the roof.
12:26Rosalie and I were at the bottom of the stairs.
12:29Mr. McKen.
12:31I was just pulling up in my car.
12:34Why are you asking where we all were when it happened?
12:38Why does that matter?
12:40Because we are treating Kevin Felton's death
12:42as suspicious.
12:44I'm sorry.
12:45You think...
12:46We think
12:48there is a possibility
12:50that Kevin Felton
12:51was pushed
12:52to his death.
12:54You're having a laugh, right?
12:56No.
12:58I'm not.
12:59But how, Commissioner?
13:00Because when you broke the door down,
13:01there was no-one else there, so...
13:02How could someone push Kevin
13:04when he was on his own?
13:10We're working on that.
13:37I told George that he needed to move officers.
13:40no you were back but he dragged his feet but why are they even working in government house it was
13:46mr mccann who moved them all here i heard him say that he wanted to get away from the interfering
13:52busybodies at the main offices did he know i'm also going to need your keys to the building as
14:03we're locking it down until further notice thank you we've done door to door but everywhere was
14:09closed when it happened so no witnesses quarter to five sunday morning hardly surprising sergeant
14:16fletcher i presume commissioner patterson we met briefly when i completed my training but i've

19:16the day requires you to sing a ling so get up and get yourself into the swing get up in
19:23the morning
19:23right
19:27morning commissioner
19:31you're good i have some interesting information on george mccann oh yeah
19:40inspector
19:42what is that what is that it's my uh bacon and friday body i didn't get my sunday full english
19:50yesterday so treating myself what it smells of egg because they put an egg in it i don't want my
20:02car
20:02smelling of egg inspector
20:13i had dinner at the yacht club last night and put some feelers out about our suspect
20:19four months ago mr mccann was brought on board a saint marie's business and tourism
20:26snazzy title
20:27so why here apparently he got bored with his businesses back in the uk
20:34and fancied branching out abroad
20:36but word is he accepts backhanders for companies who are keen to get their building developments
20:42any actual evidence of this no
20:46but i trust my sources if george mccann is as corrupt as people say then
20:52then it could be something to do with kevin felton's death
20:56yeah yeah well we'll definitely look into that commissioner right then
20:59i'm gonna get myself back to the station we can go together i want to stay across this case
21:06that mother happened under my own nose
21:08oh right then okay sure great
21:17inspector please don't bring that eggy smell back into my car
21:22what am i supposed to do with it
21:24put it in your hand put it out the window all right okay all right i'm holding out the window
21:29that's very good
21:34post-mortem confirms kevin felton's injuries were sustained by a fall i spoke to his girlfriend back
21:41in the uk she video called him a couple days ago said he seemed pretty clump well he would do
21:47she dumped him actually she reckoned it was to do with something else of course she did
21:53he always like this yes apparently kevin desperately wanted to return home to england but george mccann
22:03wouldn't release him from his contract couldn't he negotiate something she said kevin tried but
22:07mr mccann could be quite intimidating said he didn't like this loyalty like he was kind of punishing kevin
22:15have you searched the victim's apartment yet officer rose and i going to do that straight after this
22:19uh what have you got there is that from the crime scene oh yeah so i found it on the
22:24victim just
22:25tucked under the front of his hoodie
22:29i think it's just a piece of rubbish
22:34sagittarius what star song was kevin felton
22:38uh 23rd of april so torus so if he was a tourist why does he have a sagittarian horoscope on
22:45it
22:46uh like i said son maybe it's just a piece of rubbish yeah you said but what was it doing
22:52on
22:52him in the first place i mean did it just happen to be fluttering by while he was falling to
22:56his
22:56death i don't think so anything else i'm about to head over and speak with my secretary rosalie
23:02she spent the last few months working alongside our suspects good idea sir is that it one more thing
23:10actually leo quinn george mccann's intern he's on his way into the station why because sergeant fletcher
23:19and officer rose discovered that he had a big argument with our victim just a few hours before he was
23:24murdered you wanted to talk with me so we checked kevin felton's finances and we know he drank at
23:34shades bar late saturday night that's kevin our officers also spoke to the barman and he says
23:41he saw kevin having a very heated conversation with a man matching your description and if i'm not
23:47mistaken i believe that's you there i wouldn't say it got that heated between us um i mean i can
23:58see
23:58how that appears but i can promise you it really was all chill between us oh um that's you being
24:09chill
24:12okay look leo i'm gonna tell you something and i want you to listen carefully before you respond
24:17because right now you're in danger of looking like a bit of an idiot
24:20now the lip reader hasn't had a chance to examine this properly yet but when they do
24:25they'll know exactly what was being said there we were arguing about something kevin knew
24:30had found out about my dad who's your dad george mccann
24:38he didn't want people knowing about it he didn't want people thinking he took me on just because
24:43i'm his son all right and what had kevin found out about your dad was it something about him being
24:51corrupt taking payments what kevin was threatening to reveal this is that what he was referring to when
24:59he told rosalie he wants it over kevin said dad had it coming
25:05and that's why i lost it like i did and then you followed him to government house because you're
25:10worried about what he's going to say to the police i mean that's a pretty strong motive right oh
25:17no look i was angry and i was worried i'll admit that but
25:23not so much that i'd go and kill him and i was nowhere near that roof so i couldn't have
25:28done it
25:32why kevin felt and sure liked his pizza i reckon he was lonely you know had no friends here
25:39just stayed in all day playing games eating pizza
25:45i mean i think about it i could get used to that you know
25:53so sarge i have to know what was it like being an officer in jamaica
25:59huh must have been full on right like some real bad man huh big island like that
26:07well kingston town definitely has a life about it you know there's always something going down you
26:13got to keep your eye out for what made you come back oh i i don't know i it just
26:22felt like the right
26:23time i guess
26:31there's nothing in the bin he must have recently emptied that can you go check the garbage outside
26:36gotcha that's some super smart jamaican kind of thinking going on huh
26:48okay
26:51well thanks for talking with me
26:55that was leo quinn's mother angela back in the uk thought i'd see if she could tell us anything about
27:00leo and his father and her and george have been estranged a long time he wasn't really a big part
27:08of
27:08leo's life growing up so why did george end up giving him a job out here it wasn't george's choice
27:14sounds like leo always wanted to follow in his father's footsteps maybe idolized him a bit
27:21what have you got suspect's phone records and a fair bit of activity the night of the murder
27:26first leo calls george at 309 presumably to let him know that kevin was threatening to expose his
27:32corruption then george gets straight onto the blower to deborah we have a situation
27:37and again 40 minutes later i mean there's definitely something dodgy going on between
27:41them but which one pushed kevin off the roof and how they managed to do it when none of them
27:46were
27:46anywhere near him and got a scooby hang on looks like the search of kevin felton's apartment has proved
27:53fruitful here we have bag number one and you're probably thinking why i'm gonna call it bag number one
28:01one that's because inside of it is bag number two we checked is the same confidential way sacks as
28:09the one that they use in the government house you're probably wondering what's inside bag number two
28:24you know you're gonna have to clean all this up officer rose yeah i know but it was worth it
28:29okay so why did our victim take this confidential shredded waste to his house and then bin it my
28:37thinking is that kevin felton was looking for something a document that had been shredded but the
28:42fact that he then put all that is back into the rubbish bin could suggest that maybe he found
28:47what he was looking for it's possible so then where is it if kevin felton did piece together some
28:55sort of documents what he do with it unless he had it on him when he went to government house
29:01yesterday
29:02but it wasn't about his person and all the suspects were searched before they left government house
29:07so no one took it with them then it could still be there right first thing in the morning we
29:14need to
29:14search that building
29:20let it go with the police
29:22i think they're on to you
29:42i think we've met before i actually grew up here in saint marie and i might have come here a
29:52couple of
29:53times when i was a teenager and you you might have kicked me out a couple of times for not
29:59being
29:59ordinary i remember you and your friends were driving me crazy i am so sorry i promise i'm so much
30:08better
30:08be here now excuse me one moment
30:20hello stranger welcome home
30:27it's so good to see you i'm so happy you're back on saint marie where you belong
30:34it's not been the same without you i've missed it here and your job too
30:40i don't regret having had some time away spending it with andrina but i realized there's more i have to
30:48give to this island but maybe not the return that you quite envisaged no
30:57i've had dealings with george mccann as mayor
31:03he's what the english would call a bad egg
31:06i don't know all he's been up to yet but i know enough and the fact that he's been conducting
31:13his
31:13nefarious business in one of this island's most respected buildings
31:18it's not right i want this case solved and i want him and his team out
31:25that building this island is all better
31:37solomon welcome come in man a little something for us to band over the old kill devil
31:45shouldn't there have been a label on this do you think it's vintage you never get a label with a
31:49proper old stuff oh well if you say so here you go well this is a sweet little place you've
32:04got i know
32:05it's all right came with the job and how did you end up being a detective was it always what
32:11you
32:11wanted to do well kinda i really liked um solving things when i was a kid moving around foster
32:22families and care homes there'd always be some fight breaking out or things going missing or kids
32:28running away but i'd always be the one to sort things out and put things right you know
32:34uh you've done well man you should be proud thank you i am
32:51so uh what about you mate um what's your line of work oh you know this and that with the
32:58buying and
32:58selling but i've not really found my thing yet not like you have well finding your thing can take time
33:05can't it listen man i'm sorry things were so hectic last night but i'm glad we're doing this straight up
33:35good morning sir how are you doing uh good yeah
33:38good morning Naomi morning sir how are you doing uh good
33:44good yeah really good actually things went better with your brother last night yeah definitely
33:52i mean i mean it was really good to have some proper time together you know
33:57and we uh we just talked a lot mostly about dawna i mean our mum yeah it was just really
34:08nice to
34:08hear what she was like as a mother you know i'm pleased for you sir
34:18so uh we've got the transcript through from the lip reader oh right yeah and it's pretty much as leo
34:25said apart from one thing mention at one point of a title deed for a property that was being developed
34:30but kevin turns his back as soon as he says it so that's all i got i just wondered if
34:36that's the
34:37document kevin was looking for in the confidential waste i've asked matty and seb to keep an eye out
34:43when searching government house good work ah morning commissioner rosalie and i have something of use to the
34:55investigation there's a homeless guy who often sleeps in the town square outside government
35:00house his name is lloyd and i saw him there when i arrived the night it all happened so he's
35:07a possible
35:07witness we went to visit him he clearly come into some money recently he was wearing new clothes
35:15he said two months ago he'd been given 500 to go and sleep somewhere else by a woman matching deborah
35:22shelman's description she paid him off so he wasn't there to witness whatever was about to happen that's
35:31what deborah does she makes problems disappear so as kevin was proving to be a threat to george
35:39does she make that problem disappear as well this is ridiculous i admit i gave the man a few quid
35:48a few
35:48quid you gave him five hundred dollars miss shelman but only because i felt bad for him i never said
35:54he
35:55had to move somewhere else what he says you did all i said was i hope he can find somewhere
36:00more
36:00comfortable to sleep with the money i gave him he must have misunderstood and your role is well
36:06remunerated right oh we checked the company's finances you seem to get a lot of bonuses it matters
36:14to him people are loyal and he rewards them for it okay so what is your official job title miss
36:21shillman
36:21i'm george's operations manager operations manager and what does that entail exactly anything and
36:29everything but not because i think this is where you're heading pushing a man off a roof you're right
36:34that george pays me well but it's not enough for me to kill for him if there's nothing else
36:47let's see what the search has shown up
36:58george it's me the police are getting warmer much warmer
37:05there's nothing here that we could find us like a title deed or any other documents that have been
37:09shredded but the only thing of interest was this these are the ground plans for a boutique hotel
37:16development we have a swimming pool spa restaurant nice very bougie i'll get it
37:27it's just there are no details on it no architect mentioned no address name of developer and all the
37:35other projects here have those details except for this it just makes me think that there's something they're
37:54trying to hide
37:54so who was at the door earlier just some guy wanted me to move the bike was blocking him in
38:03so
38:04something wrong sarge
38:06maybe
38:20so sarge what are we looking for
38:24sense maybe that guy was distracting you so someone could sleep inside and hide while you
38:29moved the bike
38:29i knew something wasn't right you know why all right i'll check over
38:37my new ones
38:47from sergeant fletcher george mccan just broke into government house
38:52see next
38:52through the rare fire escape
38:54means in a great convertible license number charlie zulu 217
38:57from
38:57hotel heading east along me and ross we'll pursue warmer
39:02okay
39:02man she received
39:05so
39:12we're on him mate you can stand down over
39:36what the hell is she doing
39:43mr mccan i need you to step out of the vehicle please
39:52sergeant fletcher you all right sergeant fletcher
39:58yeah
39:59yeah no yeah i'm okay i'm i'm fine
40:02that really wasn't cool i was just trying not now
40:06inspector
40:08we'll do this later
40:13i think this is what kevin felton had found it's a title date but look where it's for
40:20government house
40:22no architect mentioned no address name of developer
40:26you're gonna tear it down or as good as turn it into a hotel
40:35commissioner
40:37there's a development you need to know about
40:39as i'm sure you're aware mr mccan i have a detective and two uniformed officers
40:46at your solicitor's office with a search warrant they have already uncovered further evidence
40:52confirming our suspicions all right well hit me with what you've got and i'll tell you if you're
40:59close you and your team were of the belief that the land government house sits on wasn't actually
41:06owned by the government the only title deed in existence showed it belonged to a farmer who
41:13passed away in the early 1900s with questionable maneuverings you attempted to make a land grab
41:22there's nothing questionable about it it's all within the boundaries of the law
41:27but let's not split hairs as you were a lost title deed that superseded the one you had
41:35it showed the land was legally acquired by the saint marie government in 1929
41:42which is why you proceeded to destroy it unfortunately for you kevin felton had suspicions
41:50he retrieved the document pieced it together and worked out what you were up to that is why
41:56you murdered him before he could reveal the truth you're 99 right i admit i had big plans for that
42:06old relic of a building would have been a gold mine and yeah maybe i played a bit fast and
42:13loose with the
42:13planning laws here so go ahead and charge me with whatever i'll let my solicitor work his magic because
42:20and you should know this he's good at that very good now let's get on to the one percent you're
42:27wrong
42:28about kevin felton's death as you know commissioner patterson me deb's leo none of us were on that
42:36rooftop when it happened so how in any way could it be murder
42:46he's right all our suspects have the perfect alibi me
42:51we're farther away from solving this murder as we work the start of the case
42:58what there's a man with a flamingo
43:01splat to the back of his car ah yeah that's um my brother my half brother
43:11um i'll give you a little knife
43:16brother my man how's things was a final night we had last night yeah yeah it really was we should
43:24do it again sometime soon let's keep the dialogue going yeah no question so so what are you doing
43:30here uh i uh i wanted to talk to you about something i kind of fear but yeah okay i
43:37was wondering
43:38you couldn't loan me a little money just temporary like um yeah sure what is it 50 100 two thousand
43:51two thousand dollars
43:55so that's not a little that's hey the thing is there's a couple of business opportunities right
44:02for investment coming my way and i have it back to you in no time
44:06i don't think i've got that kind of money to lend i know we're brothers but hey if i need
44:12no worries
44:13man it's cool always worth to ask right
44:21is that what all this is about me and you you just needed some money what no class not i
44:29want to do
44:29this for real i just thought i'm sorry i uh better shoot yeah
44:46nearly forgot is it all right if i nip by your place and pick up that flamingo you've been looking
44:52after isn't that it no man that's the other one they're a matching pair that's why i have to bring
44:59this one here i'm reuniting them oh yeah i see um yeah help yourself
45:15how's it going you both honestly
45:21i don't know i mean right now it feels like we're both coming at this
45:26brother thing from completely different directions well that doesn't mean it isn't worth sticking at him
45:40the flamingo flamingo the flamingo but well that's it isn't it that's how
45:47that's how the victim could have been pushed off the rooftop without anyone being there
45:51how could someone push kevin off the roof when he was on his own rosalie phoned me worried so i
45:57jumped to my car and i got here as quick as i could but kevin
45:59kevin lock the roof door is he still up there yes like i said sir it's probably just a piece
46:09of
46:09rubbish and that explains the horoscope the horoscope horoscope and the flamingo the horoscope and the
46:16flamingo that explains everything well almost i need to check a couple of things first the gps
46:21tracker on the car that picked you up and i need to take a look outside government house
46:34so what's he looking for
46:40i have no idea
46:47but whatever it is i think he found it
46:57this case i'll be honest it's been tough our victim falls to his death from a roof our three suspects
47:07all have solid alibis because you could all be accounted for at the time it happened the only
47:14explanation that makes sense is that kevin felton jumped to his own accord that's what we've been
47:20saying from the start it was suicide except it wasn't it was murder and we now know that it was
47:28you
47:28leo quinn who did it i was with everyone else when it happened like you said well yeah except
47:36that's not when it happened or indeed where it happened because at the point where kevin felton was
47:43heard falling onto that car it was already dead and to make it look like that's when and indeed how
47:50it
47:51happened you and your father and miss shellman constructed a very clever plan that nearly had us all
48:00falled you see it was something i saw just this afternoon someone was transporting something on
48:06the back of their car and it got me to thinking how you could have made it look like kevin
48:11fell on
48:12that car when he didn't then i remembered this it's a horoscope it's all from a newspaper found tucked
48:19inside kevin's hoodie and that's when i started to wonder if kevin didn't fall where we thought he did
48:29mr quinn we know the night of his murder kevin told you he was going to reveal
48:35the truth about mr mccann making an illegal land grab on that building
48:45and so you phoned your father and you both headed off the government house where kevin
48:53phoned rosalie no i didn't i didn't follow kevin oh but you did leo you see i checked the gps
48:59tracking
49:00on your car and it shows that you arrived at government house at 3 44 a.m and parked around
49:08the back for 26 minutes it was a big deal for kevin what he was going to do that night
49:14we know he felt intimidated by you mr mccann so calling the police revealing your corruption
49:23i think that weighed heavy on him but i need to do it in my own time right it's maybe
49:28why he went to
49:29the bar first and had a couple of drinks that evening to steal his nerves because he discovered
49:36a crime was being committed by you his boss and he wanted the truth to come out and doing so
49:43would
49:43also mean he could finally leave his lonely life here and fly back home to england feeling anxious he
49:51went up onto the roof to get some air and when rosalie went downstairs to see michelle man mr quinn
50:00you
50:00also headed up to the roof we'll never know what happened up there that night we assume you you can't
50:07do this to us pleaded with him but he refused to listen to you everything my father's built up his
50:14reputation who are going to prison for fraud and in the heat of the moment you ran at kevin with
50:22some
50:22force and you pushed it miss mccann i believe you arrived at government house around the same time
50:34that happened we understand you never had much involvement in your son's life so why not just let
50:41the police deal with his actions why risk getting involved yourself well we think after seeing what
50:51leo had done realizing the loyalty he'd shown in trying to protect you you decided to help him phone
50:58records show that you made your second call to me shellman that night at 4 4 in the morning to
51:05a
51:05bring her in on your plan and b to tell her to keep rosalie distracted downstairs while leo exited the
51:14roof so as instructed leo recovered the title date from kevin's back and came off the roof locking the
51:21door with the only key and taking it with him you then told leo to go and collect the commissioner
51:26from
51:27the airport as he was supposed to at 4 30 a.m while you remained in the alley with kevin's
51:31body
51:32it was four in the morning so unlikely anyone would appear but in case someone did you knew you could
51:37deal with it i mean we know you're no stranger to chucking money at a problem to make it go
51:42away
51:44and deborah you tasked rosalie with getting hold of the commissioner once he landed while you went and
51:50dealt with kevin pretending he was still alive behind the door kevin kevin
51:57when i arrived at government house with mr queen rosalie took me upstairs believing kevin was on the
52:05roof we had no reason to think you didn't follow us inside but you didn't you turned got in your
52:14car
52:15and drove round to the alley at the back of the building as the gps also proves once there you
52:22knew you had to make some kind of dent in the roof to make it look as though kevin had
52:27fallen in it
52:31i imagine you just jump up and down on it and you and your father george mccann moved kevin's body
52:37onto the car roof remembering to put the roof door key in his pocket unfortunately for you
52:46there were bins out back overflowing and this unassuming piece of rubbish must have been lying on
52:54the ground and as you move kevin's body got stuck under his hoodie you see it was always bugging me
53:00why this was inside kevin's clothing but if he fell at the rear of the building and not at the
53:08front
53:09then this little horoscope starts to make sense it got sold out from a piece of paper
53:15mr quinn you then drove around to the front of the building and parked the vehicle exactly where you
53:23had previously before heading inside mr mccann you also drove around to the front of the building
53:30and proceeded to create a loud bang
53:38hearing that noise from outside was leo's cue to set off his car alarm
53:44while you got back into your car giving the impression you just arrived it was certainly a
53:50convincing show you put on and you very nearly got away with it you tried to take from this island
53:57somewhere that stands for all that is good and right but much like myself that building
54:06isn't going anywhere george mccann stand up stand up
54:17i'm arresting you for perverting the course of justice fraud and theft and for assisting
54:24in the comfort of a murder
54:33deborah sheldman you are also under arrest
54:39you do not have to say anything
54:49thank you
54:57you want her to see me commissioner come
55:09you've done some good work sergeant fletcher during this case and you seem to have settled in well with
55:17your colleagues but after hearing what happened this afternoon your reckless behavior i am concerned
55:27i am sorry sir i just wanted to get us a result and
55:34i knew it was a stupid thing to do
55:39how do i know it won't happen again how do i know it won't happen again because i won't let
55:43it
55:45i just lost myself for a moment
55:50it isn't the first time though is it that you have lost yourself
55:58your employment file from jamaica and i've spoken to the chief commissioner so
56:08i know i know what happened there before you left
56:13that's all in the past now sir it's behind me
56:19i promise you there will be no more mistakes
56:40i'm sorry about your brother sir that he made things awkward for you
56:44maybe the commissioner was right the road was always going to be bumpy so perhaps it's worth sticking with
56:52i mean his family right
56:58so whatever curveballs are thrown
57:02i want it to work anyway serious talk over it is officially beer o'clock come on

58:16nah
58:16each of them had opportunity to kill the victim
58:19during the dinner except no one leaves the table for more than two hours
58:23two to three minutes.
58:24This island petitioned to get you your job back,
58:27and you walked away like you didn't care.
