Michael Carrick reacts after Bruno Fernandes broke Manchester United's PL single season assist record
Transcript
00:00Yeah, I mean Bruno, he's done it for a long period of time now, you know, in the big moments
00:05and making the difference in every scoring or creating, he's normally around it.
00:11So, yeah, two very different goals, obviously, today.
00:14I think he's got a really good understanding with Cassie and working with Johnny on the set plays
00:18and different things and spaces and whatnot, but there's also the bit you can coach
00:23and there's a little bit of the players and the understanding that they've got a great connection there with that.
00:29And they've done it a few times before, so that was good.
00:32And then obviously the passing around it, getting in positions where he can play that final pass
00:36and it was one we've seen before and then he plays Benin as well, I think, after that.
00:40So, yeah, there's not a lot else to say that I've sat here and said before about Bruno,
00:45but I thought he was really good and I thought it was a good team performance as well.
00:48The record is 20 shared by Kevin Wijnaldum here.
00:51Are there any of you think Bruno Fernandes can be shot from him?
00:54Yeah, maybe. Maybe. I'd much rather the points and let us win than that.
00:59So, I don't think it's something you go chasing for. I think it happens naturally anyway.
01:02But, yeah, if he does, then he's obviously created goals for us, so I'll be happy with that.
01:06So, I'll be happy with that.
01:06So, take a look at the plan.
01:06So, don't you know what I do?
01:06So, can we just do the plan.
01:06I'll remember what I do.
01:06So, I'm going to keep you going after that.
