00:04You know, it was a year ago this week that I debuted on ECW.
00:12And a lot of people, actually most people said that when I came back to
00:15the WWE, that maybe I should have made a bigger impact.
00:20That somehow being on ECW was like a demotion.
00:27Well, I never looked at it like that.
00:28You see, I've been in this business a long time, 15 plus years, and ECW to me feels like home.
00:39ECW gave me a chance, ECW gave me the ball, and I ran with it.
00:47ECW let me reconnect and compete against one of my oldest and best friends,
00:51the cornerstone, the glue of ECW for so many years, Tommy Dreamer.
01:00ECW let me mentor young, up-and-coming superstars like Yoshitatsu.
01:06He has a huge future, he does.
01:09And the best part of all of it is that I got to do most of it as the ECW
01:14champion.
01:17And I stand before all of you, my peeps, the longest reigning current champion in the WWE.
01:29Tonight, I fight for every ECW original who wanted these three letters to mean something.
01:39Tonight, I fight for every young ECW superstar in the back that's trying to find their way.
01:45ECW, ECW, ECW, ECW, ECW, ECW, ECW, ECW!
01:55Tonight, ECW goes away forever.
02:02but I will always be proud that I was a part of something great
02:06and I'll always be proud to say that I was the very last ECW champion.
