00:00Just before the break, we were talking about national championship odds and whether or not it will be the chalk.
00:05Ultimately, the one seeds representing in the final four again, one of these better teams, Michigan, Duke, Arizona, Florida, even
00:11Houston, that ultimately cuts down the net.
00:14You mentioned Iowa State. It's not exactly a, you know, a dumpster dive when it comes to the odds, but
00:21you are getting some value at 25 to one compared to some of those teams that are in single digits.
00:25Clearly, I mentioned UConn, similar story, 20 to one, you know, narrowly in front there of Iowa State.
00:32You know, I just wonder how far down the board could you be comfortable going or do you have to
00:38wait and see what the brackets look like and what the paths to that national championship appear to be?
00:45I think I'm a big believer, Adam, you notice of styles make fights, right?
00:49So to me, seeing where teams are slotted is when I'm going to kind of dive in.
00:54The problem is that some of the markets are going to move.
00:57If UConn goes and beats St. John's, think about this, folks, St. John's is 24 and two at MSG over
01:03the last two years.
01:04They go in there and they beat St. John's.
01:08St. John's team, they beat by about 40 points a couple of weeks ago up in Connecticut.
01:12They're not going to be 20 to one anymore, right?
01:15So to me, yeah, if you've got a team that you're like, they're going to win it,
01:18then you go put your ticket in now because it's going to move based on what happens the next two
01:23days and selection Sunday.
01:24But if there is a team that I'm looking at, and people are going to be shocked because they know
01:28I'm not a big fan of this coach,
01:31guard play wins.
01:33And Purdue's got the best point guard in the country in Braden Smith.
01:36And the game slows down.
01:38So their tempo, which is not, is in the bottom 150, plays better in the NCAA tournament than it does
01:46in the regular season.
01:48So when you have that backcourt of Braden Smith and Frederick Lawyer, two experienced guys that know where each other
01:54are going to be on the floor,
01:54and then you obviously add Kauffman Wren, who is a legitimate 20 and 10 guy at any time,
02:00that's a team if they don't go against, let's say, during the others have a bracket of a Florida, right?
02:06A team that they can't deal with big, bigs, right?
02:08If there's a team that matches up with them size-wise, 40 to one.
02:13Remember, folks, if I'm not mistaken, I think Purdue was preseason number one or number two.
02:19So to me, if they get Adam the right draw, they could be a team that can go on a
02:26run.
02:27But like I said, they're 40 to one now.
02:29They win two more games in the Big Ten tournament, and they move up to, let's say,
02:34from a three-line to a two-line, which is possible.
02:37That 40 to one now goes to 20 to one or lower.
02:41So if you got a team, take it now.
02:44But me, style McFights, I need to see the matchups come selection Sunday.
