00:00It is vital for Sabah and Sarawak to coordinate their views and speak as one when handling major issues with
00:07the federal government, says Saleh Saeed Kruat.
00:10The former Sabah chief minister warned that handling major issues separately would weaken their bargaining position when dealing with Putrajaya.
00:20He said that when Sarawak and Sabah coordinate their views and speak together, their voice becomes stronger.
00:27Saleh acknowledged that some issues may differ between Sarawak and Sabah, which he said is natural.
00:34However, he stressed that working together on matters of common interest makes sense.
00:39He also reiterated that a Sarawak-Sabah partnership reflects the original idea of Malaysia, where regions work together with mutual
00:46respect.
00:48Saleh added that although the term Borneo Bloc may be sensitive, it could instead be described as a Sarawak-Sabah
00:54partnership.
