00:00Namaskar. My warmest greetings to everybody present today at the 6th International Summit
00:10for the Packaging Industry. While I could not join you in person since Parliament is in session,
00:18I wish you all the very best in your endeavours going forward. India believes that development
00:29partnerships are best built through knowledge sharing, technology exchange and capacity building.
00:38Initiatives like these reflect our dedication to strengthening cooperation across our partner
00:47countries. Food systems worldwide are changing. Consumption patterns are evolving. Climate
00:56change is a concern and there is an increasing demand for safe and sustainable food. Packaging
01:06now plays a crucial role in food security, trade and consumer confidence. India is emerging as a key
01:17player in agri-food, particularly exports with advanced cold chain infrastructure and innovative
01:27packaging solutions. These advancements enable Indian products to reach premium markets globally. As we
01:38engage with countries through multiple free trade agreements, packaging that complies with international
01:45standards becomes essential for expanding trade and ensuring safety. Our government has been working on
01:57boosting the ecosystem for quality assurance and testing infrastructure. Institutions like IIP support industries
02:09with technology, guiding them in innovation, testing services and training. Looking ahead, it is important that we also
02:22prioritize sustainability. The packaging industry is already embracing the circular economy principles with
02:32recyclable materials with recyclable materials and waste reduction. Digital innovations such as smart packaging and AI
02:42driven quality monitoring offer tremendous opportunities. India's vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047 relies on
02:54resilient supply chains and innovation-driven industries. In this context, I am extremely happy to launch the Bharat Packaging Exhibition
03:062027, a landmark international packaging expo by the IIP and India Expo Mart Limited. As we move forward, I am
03:19confident that
03:20learnings from this program will help build more efficient and sustainable supply chains. As we go forward, our collective effort
03:33must focus on
03:35one, prioritizing quality assurance to maintain global competitiveness. Two, embracing sustainability across sectors. Three, leveraging digital innovations to
03:50other companies for smarter and more transparent packaging solutions. Lastly, I wish the program great success and all
04:00participants a highly enriching learning experience. Thank you very much. Namaste.
