00:27an entertainer mean to you I oh my gosh I love I on it to connect and to make people

00:38you know feel something outside of what their experience is in that moment is to is to transport
00:45and hopefully in some cases transform um but to entertain is to just yeah is to transport
00:57someone through connection and and and and experience um and some and sometimes it's it's
01:07small and sometimes it's large you know um in but it but uh yeah that would be my that's how

01:15about it Mike and Claire show that the American dream can take many forms but beyond the fame
01:23and money do you agree with that oh yeah is the American dream yeah no I mean definitely the
01:31American dream is about freedom um but um but when it comes to being able you know to have the
01:41freedom
01:41to make the choices to live your life how you want to live your life you know um yeah but
01:49I think in
01:49this story I think there's sort of this the thing about Mike and Claire is that they they their dream
02:01isn't sort of like oh I want to be the the biggest rock star in the world their dream is
02:06to try to be able
02:07to do what they love and still make the rent um and in order to do that they have to
02:14believe in
02:14themselves to be able to do that and create a community that roots for them and that's what
02:21they were able to do and um that is the hope I think globally like what you want is to
02:30be able to create
02:30family and community that builds you up and support you to to follow your dreams you know
02:40even if you don't yeah no even if you don't become the biggest rock star in the world that you
02:45know
02:45you you can do the things that you love and that make bring you bring you happiness
02:51lightning and thunder sounds like the name of two superheroes but real heroes are ordinary people
02:57what do you think I think Mike I mean these are two real people you know and Mike was always
03:04lightning and that was his vibe and he was like he was just you know had this drive to like
03:13be this
03:13artist even though he was impersonating um and he just had this like energy that and they were such a
03:25wild couple you know and so when they created lightning and thunder you know it was like
03:32such a funny duo and um but it does it does represent them as who they were you know they
03:42they were
03:43they loved it they believed in it they believed in Neil they believed in his uh art and how it
03:50connected
03:50people his anthems uh Mike loved that he was this like anthemic artist but that he also had this huge
04:00catalog of music that he could you know remind people of like you know they really believed in
04:08their act and so and with that they were able to have this moment where they were playing every bar
04:16and bar and and weddings and summer summer fest they had a great run because of their own belief in
