00:07It's been some fantastic year, isn't it? Let's talk about that for a second, though. That's a hit again.
00:14That makes you a contender for the Christmas number one stakes, makes you a runner for that.
00:17Oh, no, I don't think so.
00:18At least you're a runner in the race.
00:20Well, maybe, yeah, maybe.
00:21Now, this year, the Mike Jackson tour must have been the highlight. What was that like?
00:26Oh, wow. It was wonderful. We did about, we did exactly, well, I say about, we did 35 shows together.
00:33And we went all around Europe and all over the UK. Had a fabulous response and had a lot of
00:38fun.
00:40What did, I mean, it must have been a different audience because it was his audience and they wouldn't be
00:44expecting to see you.
00:46Although I know you did tremendously well, you're not going to see that.
00:48Was it different sort of meeting his crowd?
00:51Well, it wasn't too tough, you know, because they're a real pop-oriented crowd.
00:55And they paid, you know, good money to have a good time.
00:58And also, like, I've had a lot of success all throughout Europe and here for quite a long time.
01:03So they were really pleased to see me. They were great crowds.
01:06I'm sure they'd all like to know, did you meet little Michael? I mean, did you ever sort of get
01:10so...
01:10He's not so little, actually. He was taller than me.
01:12Is he really? He only looks like a dot, doesn't he?
01:16He's quite a tall sort of chap.
01:18Did you meet him?
01:19I did once, yes. I met him once.
01:21I mean, didn't he like to take him to the chip shop and things like that?
01:25No, no, no. I didn't exactly bump into him in the canteen, you know.
01:29Hey, I just went for a walk along the audience, which is my want in the break.
01:33And a lady grabbed me, see.
01:36I'm not going to tell you where, but in the front row, she grabbed me.
01:40And I called her, just for fun, a groupie.
01:43Are there such things...
01:44We know that a groupie is for the bands who follow the guys around.
01:48Is there a male...
01:49Male groupies.
01:50Yeah, like, I mean, the guys who are at the stage, do they do that?
01:53They used to be stage door Johnnies.
01:55Did they?
01:55Oh, when...
01:57Sorry, I've been told.
01:59What do I know? I've been told years ago, you see.
02:02I see.
02:03Well, yeah, I get my fair share of guys running after me.
02:06They're mostly in the business, though. They're not the fans.
02:09I mean, that's what I was really...
02:10I mean, I gather you...
02:11I mean, a lovely girl, like, you'll meet guys, but...
02:14No, you don't...
02:14I don't actually get, like, guys hanging around and trying to, you know...
02:17But do they?
02:18...whisper me out of a hotel room.
02:20What was that a bit about a hotel room?
02:22Did I...
02:23I mean, do they actually sort of hang around the doors, like the girls hang around, like, for Bross?
02:27Actually, they don't really know.
02:29I mean, one or two hang around.
02:30And I've got to know a lot of my fans over the years.
02:33And I actually know them very well.
02:34You know, I turn up in Belgium or France, and it's usually the same faces.
02:38And they're very gentlemanly to me.
02:40That's nice to hear.
02:41Yes.
02:42Now, I just wonder if you ever thought of doing a duet...
02:45Because, again, someone was asking about Dad, about Marty.
02:48Do you ever think about doing a duet on record, maybe, with Dad?
02:51I'd never, ever discount that, you know.
02:53I'd never say never.
02:54You've done consciously things.
02:55Never say never.
02:55Talk about singing with Dads.
02:58Yes.
03:00How would you like to, um...
03:03Have you thought about doing a duet with me?
03:04A duet with you?
03:05I was.
03:06Not a bad idea.
03:07I'll tell you what I've got in mind.
03:08Could we do something stupid?
03:10Um, well, should we just do the song first?
03:26I know I stand in line until you think you have the time to spend an evening with me.
03:36And if we go someplace to dance, I know that there's a chance you've won't been leaving with me.
03:44That's for sure.
03:46Then afterwards we drop into a quiet little place and have a drink or two or three or four or
03:55five.
03:56And then I'd go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like I love you.
04:06I could see it in your eyes that you despise the same old lies you've heard the night before.
04:17And though it's just a lie to you, my fear's true.
04:21Never seemed so right before.
04:27I practice every day to find some clever lines to say, to make the meaning come true.
04:35The meaning come true.
04:38But then I think I'll wait until the evening gets to sleep.
04:42And I'm alone with you.
04:45I'm alone with you.
04:48The time is right, your perfume fills my head.
04:51The stars get red and overnight, it's so blue.
04:57And then I'd go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like I love you.
05:07I love you.
05:12I love you.
05:18I love you.
05:19I love you.
05:33I love you.
