00:01Good afternoon, it's a great honor for me to represent my delegation. We have a distinguished member of the board,
00:10Thomas Pérez, and my friend and excellent ambassador, Xavier Castillo, and it's a pleasure to be here in Washington.
00:32This partnership reflects a simple reality. Technology policy is now part of the strategic agenda of every country that sees
00:46sustainable growth in the digital economy.
00:48Digital infrastructure has become central level of the economic power. The network we regulated today shaped how economies compete and
01:01how society participates in the digital age.
01:03For that reason, positions in this sector recently carry a strategic wave for every country. In this context, public institutions
01:15must be prepared to navigate the technological change.
01:18This agreement gives the Dominican Republic access to the tax diplomacy academy and to a global network of experts. For
01:29our public institution, this provides better tools to understand how technology affects development and how governments should respond.
01:39The Dominican Republic is advancing in the digital transformation agenda. Building this knowledge inside the government is essential.
01:49Partnerships like the one that we are signing today help connect national priority with international experience. They also help build
02:01the cooperation among institutions working on technology policy.
02:06The academic institutions. Academic institutions play an important role in that effort. We evaluate the tradition of American University in
02:15promoting open debate and responsible use of technology.
02:19These principles resonate strongly with our own institutional vision. Working with Purdue University and the Kraft Institute reflect that shared
02:31commitment.
02:32And in detail, we believe that institutional collaboration is essential to address the challenge created by technological change. This is
02:42especially important and award for the trust in technology is becoming increasingly important.
02:48We look forward to working together. We look forward to working together in the years ahead. Thank you very much.
02:55Thank you. Thank you, sir. I'd like to turn it over to some of our guests who are here to
03:02just give a few more.
03:03We'll start with you.
03:04We'll see you.
03:05We'll see you later.
03:07We'll see you later.
03:07Gracias.
