00:41And he said, what do you think about this as a potential TV show?
00:44And I listened to the podcast and I said
00:47I don't know that most of this works for me
00:50But I love the pathology of the main character
00:52The real guy, John Orr
00:54I like his pathology
00:55I like that he's
00:57He is this clearly bifurcated human being
01:01Who thinks of himself as a hero
01:04And yet commits the most villainous acts
01:08And then writes a book about a guy
01:10Who's a thinly veiled version of himself as the hero
01:14And then another thinly veiled version of himself as the arsonist
01:18And puts it in a book
01:19And tries to sell that book in New York City
01:21I just thought that was insane
01:23And so I said to Kary
01:26If I do this
01:27I want to do it as
01:29A jumping off point
01:31I don't want to do Firebug
01:33I want to do something else
01:34But at least I'll take this pathology
01:37And I'll take the idea of
01:38Fire itself
01:39As a
01:41To me as very much as a character
01:43In the show
01:46And was it difficult to work with this specific character
01:50Because I know since Ron Howard Backdraft
01:52That working with Fire could be a pain in the ass
