00:00I don't only want to watch, my wife and my kids just want to watch horror movies and I don't,
00:04I don't like horror movies.
00:18This is a family movie. Family movies are a unique form of art.
00:23I want to know which one, which movie you watch over and over again with your family.
00:30We, we, actually it's a holiday film. We love Christmas Vacation and we love Home Alone.
00:36Well, we used to watch nice animated films and now all they want to watch, my wife and my kids
00:42just want to watch horror movies and I don't, I don't like horror movies.
00:46Not my thing. We were supposed to have family movie night the other night and all of a sudden we're
00:51watching a movie called The Leprechaun where some leprechaun is trying to kill everybody and bursts out of somebody's stomach
00:56and I left early.
01:00Amazing.
01:01I left early. So many other choices.
01:05And family is at the core of this movie. So I want to ask you, what does it mean family
01:11to you?
01:12Family is everything. Family is the most important thing, you know, the people that will really be there for you
01:19no matter what.
01:20Yeah, same. I mean, everything that I do, every choice that I make hopefully is inspired by my family.
01:27Um, you know, certainly this film, um, I think one of the reasons Mark and I both gravitated towards it
01:34is because it is, it's, it is about family and it's about all of the themes that we universally kind
01:40of struggle with as parents.
01:41Um, raising children, uh, you know, navigating a relationship as it evolves and kind of keeping that, that, uh, keeping
01:50that, um, flame ignited, uh, kind of rediscovering each other.
01:56And as you were talking earlier about, you know, the family films are very unique. Yeah. They're very rare in
02:03Hollywood as well.
02:04So I was just so excited to actually make a movie that my children would enjoy, that my husband would
02:11enjoy, that we could actually sit down.
02:13I mean, maybe this will, maybe this will take place of the, of the home alone or their Christmas vacation,
02:18you know, because I think this is like a real classic, uh, family film that people are really going to
02:24love.
02:24Your characters are ordinary parents in the beginning of the movie, and then they evolve.
02:30Uh, in your opinion, what makes a parent cool?
02:34Well, I think kids may not perceive their parents as being cool, but the parents are willing to do all
02:40the stuff that's unpleasant, you know, and just making sure that you're really connected with your child.
02:47You know, um, not too cool to care about even the little stuff and pay attention to the little details
02:53because things could go unnoticed that could ultimately end up causing a lot of long-term damage.
02:58And, you know, you want to make sure that you're protecting your child in every way possible.
03:01Yeah.
03:02And, uh, your, your sons in this movie, um, uh, big dreams.
03:07One wants to be a journalist.
03:09Another one is a professional Twitch gamer.
03:12And, and, and your characters don't, don't understand really well, what does it mean?
03:18Um, it's important to support, um, children, um, even if we don't understand their dreams.
03:28Absolutely.
03:29Yeah.
03:29A hundred percent.
03:30A hundred percent.
03:31I think anything that they become curious about, um, that's a really positive thing, especially at such a young age,
03:39anything they take pleasure in, even if it's gaming.
03:42I mean, it's something that like might end up evolving into something else, you know, into like coding or building
03:47games or whatever it is, or being a professional gamer.
03:50Um, my daughter actually does something really random, which is Irish dancing.
03:55And I don't know anything about it, but she loves it.
03:59God bless her.
04:00So, you know, I just want to support her because she's enjoying it and she's dedicated to it.
04:05And I think that's just a quality that you want your kids to continue to have as they grow throughout
04:09life.
04:10Thank you so much.
04:11Thank you.
04:12Bye.
04:12Thank you so much.
04:15Aspetta, aspetta.
04:20No more record.
04:22Bye.
