00:00I spoke exclusively with Iran's ambassador to the United Nations office in Geneva and he said that
00:05Iran does not want to close the Strait of Ramos, that Iran wants the Strait of Ramos open and he
00:12said that the only situation that's happening is because there is indeed the war around it but he
00:16said that Tehran wants to keep the Strait of Ramos open, denying everything, denying the closure and
00:22denying the intentions to block it. He also denied the fact that Iran attacked the civilian sites and
00:28infrastructure across the Gulf. Let's take a listen. No, I cannot accept that claim. Our military
00:38forces have been instructed to exclusively target military bases which are used by the United States
00:47against our country. Unfortunately, there are a lot of evidences which shows that those military bases
00:54are operational against Iran and the United States is carrying out different military operations
01:02against Iran from those bases.
01:05Ambassador, but there have been attacks by Iran on the airports, on the residential buildings,
01:12on the hotels across the Gulf states.
01:14These are not verified. We have been in contact with those states to explain for them what we
01:23have done and what we haven't done. And we are ready to share information with them about the operations
01:35we have made, about the measures we have taken and if they have any evidence, we are ready to verify
01:42it.
01:42There has been a big number of cases that the United States or Israel have made some operations in those
01:51countries to attribute it to Iran.
01:54We have people on the ground, in many of them. We have people on the ground in the United Arab
01:59Emirates,
01:59in Qatar and these people, the journalists, our correspondents have been documenting the attacks on
02:04non-military sites. As I told you, there might be some operations made by, not by Iran, maybe by the
02:17United States
02:17or Israel in those countries to attribute it to Iran.
02:20What would be the purpose of the U.S. and Israel targeting these civilian sites across the Gulf?
02:27When you are talking about the United States and Israel, you shouldn't look for any reasonable argument
02:39or any reasonable intention. Their intention is to drag those countries into war.
02:46Ambassador, Iran-made drones also targeted to British base in Cyprus, while also NATO air defense systems
02:53intercepted two Iranian ballistic missiles heading towards already entering Turkish airspace.
03:00What about these attacks?
03:02Our officials have rejected these news about making any attack in the space of Turkey.
03:12There is, though, a confusion because we've heard the president apologizing to the Gulf countries.
03:21The president's message was misunderstood. The president's message was clear. He said that we will not attack
03:29and we have not attacked any base or location which has not been involved in military operation against Iran.
03:38And he continued to be very clear that if any base or center is used to carry out military operation
03:50against Iran,
03:51we will respond accordingly and we will target that location too.
03:57Iran stated that it's been two decades that it's prepared for any possibilities of this war.
04:07And nowadays the European cities are also within the range of Tehran's arsenal. Are they possibly in danger as well?
04:16No. What Iran is doing is just a self-defense. Iran has no intention to attack anybody or to attack
04:31any country which is not involved in hostility
04:36against Iran. What Iran is doing now at this particular time is to defend itself.
04:44And for us, our policy is quite clear. If we are attacked, we will respond accordingly.
04:51If we are attacked from any location, then we will attack that location as a legitimate target.
04:57Does that also include, Ambassador, does that also include the European countries where the US forces might also be stationed
05:06or they're using them?
05:09Let me make it clear. It has been a policy which has been pronounced and announced by our military forces.
05:17Any facility, any base which is used to attack against Iran would be a legitimate target for our military forces.
05:29Ambassador, but within your own country, Iran is attacking its own civilians?
05:34No.
05:35No.
05:38You rejected the claim?
05:40Yes.
05:43But there is proof that the civilians were attacked.
05:50By Iran?
05:52Yes. Civilians in Iran, the protesters in Iran.
05:59What happened in Iran, if you mean the developments in early January, it was not the peaceful protesters who were
06:10peacefully protesting in Iran.
06:13It was a complicated scenario which was planned and followed by the United States and Israel against the security of
06:22Iran.
06:23Yeah, the historically of the international police, the police, the Delta Delta and the disēstion of the intransom and the
06:25andes are Windyrairis .
06:25Is that is going to be the end of the disaster that the fuego is going to be the end
06:25of the disaster?
06:25No.
