00:05who climb an abandoned radio tower

00:08and that climb and that event
00:10goes horribly wrong
00:11when the ladder breaks
00:14and they find themselves trapped
00:16at 2,000 feet
00:17with no way down.
00:20The film is based on a real tower
00:21it's based on a tower in Arizona
00:23that was the fourth tallest structure
00:26in the US
00:26and then the challenge becomes
00:27how do you shoot a film
00:28that takes place at 2,000 feet
00:32We found this location
00:33it looked amazing
00:34It's a nice view, huh?
00:36Holy shit
00:36And it had just enough room
00:39to structurally build out
00:41an actual 100 foot tower
00:43on the top of a 2,000 foot cliff
00:45and the girls went up it
00:47and we filmed it from that height
00:48Once they're up there
00:49it's very hard for me as director
00:51to really access and direct them
00:53So before we filmed the movie
00:54we did a little bit of rehearsal
00:56with Grace Scott and I
00:57in Scott's backyard
00:58and he actually built
00:59the size of the platform
01:01that we were going to be on
01:02he built a version of that
01:03that's literally like this big
01:05it was tiny
01:06I was able to rehearse through
01:08the movie with them
01:08up close with them
01:10in an intimate
01:11kind of good directing environment
01:12so that when we went to set
01:15the week later
01:15and went up to the tower
01:17we had a frame of reference
01:20it was never expected for us to do our stunts
01:24it was always offered
01:25if we wanted to try it
01:26I think there was just so much curiosity
01:28on my part and Janice
01:29to try it that we did
01:32we did all of our own stunts
01:34we were actually hanging on with one hand
01:37it was terrifying
01:38we really needed to be in good physical shape
01:41to be able to do this movie
01:43when we got to the actual main ladder drop moment
01:46I was really excited
01:47because I thought
01:48I can do this
01:50I've done the other things
01:51I can do this
01:53I want to do this
01:54audiences want
01:55the real deal
01:57and for this movie
01:59it lives or dies
