01:11Hot rock! Hot rock!
01:13Who will be left holding the hot rock
01:15when I stop singing?
01:17It's not gonna be me!
01:19Me either!
01:20Me either neither either also, baby!
01:23Okay!
01:24Here we go!
01:30Uh-oh! Daisy!
01:33You got the hot rock, so you're out.
01:35Aw, man!
01:40I did it!
01:42Oh!
01:42Good job, Hal!
01:43But that means...
01:45Squeaks wins!
01:46Yeah!
01:49Oh, yeah!
01:50You're not supposed to have the rock.
01:54Oops!
01:56Let's play again, fellas!
01:57I'm feeling lucky today!
02:00Oh, looky here!
02:01I found another rock!
02:02Wait!
02:03That's not a rock!
02:04That's an egg!
02:05And by the looks of it, it's a bird's egg!
02:07Hey there, Eggie Waggie!
02:09It's me, Howgy Wawgy!
02:11Wait a minute!
02:12What's an egg doing all by itself out here?
02:15Yeah, where's this egg's nest?
02:17Hmm.
02:17It must be around here somewhere.
02:20Let's find it!
02:21Hmm.
02:22Not here!
02:24Not here!
02:26Not here!
02:27Oh, poor little Eggie!
02:29Why are you all alone?
02:31Aw!
02:31I wonder when it will hatch!
02:33Well, what if it hatches soon without its mother?
02:36Well, I mean, call me crazy, but I can take care of it!
02:40Uh, Hal!
02:41How would you take care of a bird?
02:43Oh, I have some ideas!
02:45Montage, montage, montage...
02:55I can't eat!
02:59I can't eat it!
03:03Tell me!
03:04I'm trying to eat a bird's nest!
03:06The energy?
03:06What if you do?
03:06I can't eat it!
03:07I can't eat it!
03:07You know, guys, I can eat it!
03:08This is hard to eat!
03:09You've gotta eat it!
03:16This is the best for you!
03:44Hal?
03:46Hal?
03:46Hal?
03:47Hal?
03:48I know it must be done.
03:50I will take care of little Eggie forever!
03:53Uh, Hal?
03:54We don't even know what's inside this egg.
03:57Oh, well, I'll take care of it.
04:00Whatever it is, it'll be so fun!
04:02I don't know, Hal.
04:03It seems like a lot of responsibility.
04:06Yeah, Hal.
04:07You sure you're ready to be someone's mom and dad?
04:10What else are we gonna do?
04:12I can't just leave little Eggie out here all alone.
04:14He doesn't even have a scarf!
04:15Hmm.
04:17I've got it!
04:18This egg needs help, so we need an animal rescue expert!
04:22We need to call...
04:23Racer the Rescue Raccoon!
04:28Did somebody call for a rescue raccoon?
04:31We did!
04:32It was us!
04:33It was us right here!
04:33Hi!
04:34Thank goodness you're here, Racer!
04:36We found this egg, but we don't know what kind of egg it is!
04:39Good golly, hello, Dolly!
04:42We need to find this egg's nest before it hatches!
04:45Actually, um, Racer, I was thinking I could take care of Eggie.
04:48Halsa!
04:49Whatever is inside this egg needs to be with its mother!
04:52Why?
04:53I could love Eggie just as much as a mama!
04:55I already do!
04:56I'm sure you would love this little creature, but all wild animals need to be wild!
05:01And some wild animals need to imprint with their mother to help them survive!
05:06Uh, pray tell, what does it imprint mean?
05:09I'm so glad you asked, Nature Cat!
05:12Some wild animals, like ducks and these geese, form a strong bond with the first thing they
05:18see after they're born, which is hopefully their mother.
05:22This is called imprinting.
05:24It helps the babies know what kind of animal they are, and it makes it easier for the mother
05:28to teach her newborns what they need to know to survive.
05:31Wow!
05:33Imprinting also helps prevent babies from accidentally wandering off with another animal, even if
05:39it looks exactly like their mama!
05:42They know who they need to follow to keep them safe.
05:46Wow!
05:46I had no idea how important it was for some babies to see their mother right after they're
05:51born.
05:52It can be dangerous for newborns if they imprint on something other than their own species,
05:57because they may think they're a different kind of animal.
05:59That would make it harder for them to survive.
06:02Ooh, that doesn't sound good.
06:23How?
06:24How?
06:25How?
06:26I want this Eggie, no matter what it is, to be safe and happy.
06:31Let's find Eggie's mama.
06:33I'm proud of you, big guy.
06:35Okie dokie, racer.
06:37Now I guess you can just tell us what kind of egg it is and we can slip it back
06:40into its
06:43nest.
06:43Slow your egg roll there, sir.
06:46We have to make sure we put this egg in with the right nest.
06:49We wouldn't want a robin egg hatching with some geese, would we?
06:52Ok, so let's see here.
06:53That would be robins plus geese.
06:56That would be the one.
06:58No!
06:59No, we would not want robins hatching with geese.
07:01Glad we can all agree on that.
07:03Luckily, you have an expert like me, racer, the rescue raccoon, to help.
07:08But looking at the size, the shape and the color of this egg, and the fact that you found
07:14it near the pond, I'd say it's a waterfowl.
07:21And a waterfowl is?
07:24A bird that lives near the water.
07:26Right!
07:26Of course!
07:27A waterfowl!
07:29Let's go to the pond!
07:32Come on, Eggie.
07:33We're going to figure out what kind of egg you are.
07:39Now remember, it's important not to disturb nests with eggs in them.
07:47Hm.
07:48Our egg looks a little greener than those other eggs.
07:51It's smaller, too.
07:53Very good!
07:54The eggs in this nest are actually...
07:56Goose eggs?
07:57Holy hycynthia squeaks!
07:59How did you know?
08:00Cause here comes mother goose.
08:05What?
08:11Hmm.
08:12These eggs are closer, but they're blue instead of greenish.
08:16Interesting.
08:17So our egg is not a heron egg, then.
08:20Wowie zowie cousin Howie!
08:22How do you know so much about birds, Squeaks?
08:25Cause here comes a mama heron!
08:38Hey, look!
08:39Another nest!
08:40Over there!
08:41I'll keep a look out for more birdie mamas.
08:43Hmm.
08:44These eggs look like the same shade of green as our egg!
08:47They're the same size as Eggie, too!
08:50And close to where we found Eggie!
08:51Yes!
08:52I think we found the right kind of nest!
08:55Oh, so she's a duck!
08:56A mallard!
08:57Good to be exact!
08:58Oh, they're nice!
08:58That's cool!
08:59And that must be the mother!
09:01Now we gotta make sure this is really its nest!
09:04So our egg will hatch about the same time as these others!
09:07See any other mallard nests around here?
09:11So you're a mallard, huh?
09:12I was daydreaming that you were a mallard!
09:14I guess I'm psychic!
09:14I knew I was gonna say that!
09:16Anyway, I bet you're the most duckiest, most mallardy mallard ever!
09:43I couldn't find any other mallard nests!
09:47Neither could I!
09:48Oh, me either!
09:49Me neither, either, neither, either also!
09:51Wait, what did I just say?
09:53Midsense to me!
09:54Moving on!
09:55Well, since this nest is pretty close to where we found the egg,
09:59I believe this is the one!
10:01The egg is ready to go back to its nest, Hal!
10:05Good luck, Eggie!
10:06I'll miss you!
10:11Perfectamundo!
10:17Peggy's with its mama!
10:18Don't worry, Hal!
10:19Once the duckling imprints with its mother, you can come check on it!
10:23Thanks, Racer!
10:24My work here is complete!
10:26Thanks for your help, Racer the rescue raccoon!
10:30Until next time, Racer to the rescue!
10:35Oh, I'm gonna miss that little duck!
10:37You did the right thing, Hal!
10:39That duck was born to be wild!
10:40Are you sure I can't be its mama?
10:43Hal, let's work on you first, yeah?
10:46I wonder what it would be like to see little Eggie hatch!
10:49Oh, they're hatching!
10:50They're hatching!
10:53Oh, Eggie is so cute!
10:56Well, I mean, he's sort of wet and gross right now, but he's still cute!
11:00I wonder what he'll look like when his feathers are dry!
11:04His feathers are dry!
11:05His feathers are dry!
11:07His feathers are dry!
11:08Oh, look at that!
11:10The baby ducklings are doing just what their mama is doing!
11:14Oh, she's taking them into the water!
11:19Aw, look how they copy her!
11:21I think they're getting food!
11:23So, thanks to imprinting, these ducklings know to follow their mama!
11:28She keeps them safe and helps them grow up!
11:31Whoa-ho-ho!
11:32I wonder what Eggie'll look like when he's all grown up!
11:39He's all grown up!
11:40It happened so fast!
11:42Sure does, Hal!
11:43Eggie is safe and sound because you helped him find his mama!
11:47Racer the resurrection!
11:50That is correct!
11:51So, which one is Eggie?
11:53He's the third one in the row, the dapper-looking one who is also a gentleman!
11:57Good golly, hello, Dolly!
12:00Eggie is looking great!
12:02And back with his family, another successful animal rescue!
12:06We're good!
12:09Woohoo!
12:09Woohoo!
12:12The Crowlympics is... this is...
12:20Crowlympics challenge number one is set!
12:23Crowlympics challenge number two is set!
12:26Crowlympics challenge number three is all set!
12:28Now, we're ready for the Crowlympics!
12:32Now, let's crow for the crows, Benny!
12:35Caw!
12:36Caw!
12:36Caw!
12:37Caw!
12:37Caw!
12:38Caw!
12:38Caw!
12:39Caw!
12:39Caw!
12:40Caw!
12:40Caw!
12:41Caw!
12:42Caw!
12:42Caw!
12:42Caw!
12:44Caw!
12:47Caw!
12:50Caw!
12:51How's the Crowlympics?
12:52Yeah!
12:52I've been reading about crows and how smart they are!
12:55We're setting up a few tough challenges for the crows to see if they'll try to solve them!
13:00Caw!
13:00Caw!
13:00How can crows figure anything out?
13:02They're just a bunch of silly birds!
13:04Whoa!
13:05You better take that back, Ronald.
13:07Why should I, Squeaks!
13:09Because crows are super smart!
13:12Plus, they're coming this way right now!
13:14B-嚎uer!
13:16Boo!
13:17I do not like crows!
13:19They're always in my yard, making noise, going through my trash, and being all unintelligent.
13:24That's why I yell at them and chase them away every day.
13:32What's happening?
13:33Sounds like the crows are crowing back, Ronald.
13:36Yeah, they probably remember how you yell at them and chase them.
13:39Impossible! Crows can't remember like that.
13:42Actually, it says here crows do remember faces and how they're treated.
13:47You should be nicer to the crows, Ronald.
13:49Ha! I can't take all this noise!
13:56You have to admit, it's pretty amazing that crows can recognize faces.
14:00I admit nothing, because I still don't think that they're smart at all.
14:04Really? Well, I bet they're as smart as you are.
14:07There is no way that they are as smart as I am.
14:12I agree with Ronald. They're not as smart as he is.
14:16What?
14:17They're smarter.
14:18Hey, I'm much smarter than a crow.
14:21Well, if you're as smart as a crow, then maybe you'd like to try some of these crow challenges.
14:27Me?
14:28Hey, yeah, Ronald can be a contestant in the Crow Olympics.
14:32You know what? Fine. I'll try these silly crow challenges and show you how much smarter than a crow I
14:38am.
14:39Yay!
14:40Ha, ha, ha! Let the games begin!
14:44Who's ready for the Crow Olympics?
14:47Today we have a very special contestant, folks. Please welcome, Ronald!
14:53Why do I have to wear this silly costume?
14:55Rule 12, it's so you can take a walk in someone else's feathers.
14:58And since crows have no hands to grab things, your hands have been covered in wings, so you can't grab
15:04things either.
15:05And last but not least, hit the button on your chest.
15:08What, this?
15:11What's happening?
15:12Whoa!
15:13The costume helps you fly just like a bird, Ronald!
15:16Whoa! Whoa!
15:18Maybe not just like a bird.
15:21Ow!
15:23Let's just get this over with.
15:25All right, it's time for the Crow-lympics!
15:29Uh, who are you talking to?
15:30The home viewer. Every good game show needs a home viewer.
15:34Say hello to the home viewer, Ronald.
15:36I didn't know anyone would be watching. Hello.
15:40Don't worry about that, Ronald. Worry about the game, cause it's time for our first challenge!
15:46Ah!
15:47Crow-lympics challenge number one! Drink the water!
15:51Drink the water? Ha! That's easy! I've been drinking water since I was a kitten!
15:58Uh-uh-uh! Remember, crows can't grab it, and neither can you, Ronald!
16:02Then how am I supposed to drink it?
16:05You have to solve that problem the way a crow might solve it.
16:08Fine! Uh, how can I drink the water without lifting the pitcher? Hmm...
16:13Wait! I know! The answer is right in my mouth!
16:16Bat-tong!
16:20And, looks like Ronald's trying to use his tongue to reach the water! Let's see how that goes!
16:25But his tongue can't quite make it!
16:27Ooh, that's gotta be a disappointment!
16:29I can get this! I can get this! Come on, come!
16:32And, while Ronald tries to get to the water, let's see if we got any crows trying to get a
16:37drink!
16:38Looks like we have our first crow contestant, folks!
16:41The crow is looking down at the water and trying to figure out how to get to it!
16:45Hmm, and now the crow is looking around! I wonder why!
16:52The crow is gathering a pebble in its beak!
16:55And now the crow is dropping the pebble in the water pitcher! But the question is, why?
17:01Because a crow is not very smart! Now, excuse me as I stretch my tongue!
17:10Look at this!
17:13I don't believe it! When the crow adds pebbles, the water keeps rising in the pitcher!
17:17What? That's impossible! Oh, yeah? Well, I have an even smarter idea!
17:23If the crow is getting the water to rise with little pebbles, this big rock will make it rise much
17:29faster!
17:32Ooh, it looks like Ronald's rock's not gonna fit in the pitcher!
17:36Huh? Huh? Oh, yes it will!
17:41All the pebbles help the water to rise! And now the crow is enjoying a refreshing beverage!
17:47And the crow wins the challenge!
17:50Oh, well, I wasn't really thirsty anyway. Let's just fly off to the next challenge!
18:01Prolympics challenge number two is called, Want a Snack?
18:10Ooh, I do want a snack! I love snacks!
18:16How am I supposed to get this snack if I can't use my hands?
18:20We're about to find out, because the challenge starts right now!
18:26I have a super smart idea!
18:29I can't believe we're seeing this! It looks like Ronald is trying the old jumping shop!
18:34How's that working out for him?
18:37Not well, Al, not well!
18:39In the meantime, let's see if any crows are trying to get to the food!
18:45We're in luck! Looks like we have our second crow contestant!
18:50The crow is pulling the string up using its beak!
18:52Hey, I can do that too!
19:02It's coming! It's coming!
19:05Ooh, seems like Ronald can't quite get it high enough to take a bite!
19:10What do you say we check in with how the crow is doing?
19:13Oh no, it appears the crow is going to face a similar problem!
19:17It can't pull the string up any higher, and the food isn't high enough yet to eat!
19:21Would you look at that!
19:23The crow is using its foot to hold the string so it doesn't fall back down!
19:28What? Its foot? That was my next idea! I thought of it first!
19:32Hey, what is happening here?
19:36Looks like Ronald's a bit tied up right now.
19:40But the crow got the food!
19:43So the crow wins the challenge!
19:45Who's the smartest for me?
19:48Oh, crow, crow, crow!
19:50Can somebody get me down?
19:52Whoa!
19:54Ow!
19:54Oh, never mind!
19:57It's time for the final Crowlympics challenge!
20:00It's called Crow's Cash!
20:03Cash? Why would a crow need money?
20:06It's not that kind of cash, Ronald!
20:08Cash also means to hide food or supplies to be used later!
20:12Hiding food?
20:13Ha!
20:13This challenge is a cinch!
20:15I'm always hiding food to eat later!
20:18I've been storing this grilled cheese in my armpit for 13 days!
20:21Mmm!
20:23Gouda!
20:24Well, get ready to find some place new to hide your food!
20:27Because this Crowlympics challenge starts now!
20:33Looks like Ronald is searching for a hiding place!
20:38Hmm!
20:39And he's found it!
20:42Hey!
20:43Who pulled my tail?
20:46Oh well!
20:47I'd better keep hiding my food!
20:55Huh?
21:07There is no way Ronald is losing this contest!
21:11You should check your hiding spot, Ronald!
21:14Hey!
21:15There are no nuts in there!
21:17What happened?
21:18Why don't we show him in Super Crow slow-mo?
21:25Hey!
21:26Who pulled my tail?
21:33As you can clearly see, Ronald, the crow was taking all of your nuts!
21:38Oh yeah?
21:38Well, two can play that game!
21:42Ow!
21:43I better just walk!
21:48I see you, crow!
21:55I know your hiding spot!
22:03I am going to take all your nuts!
22:10What's going on?
22:11Where did all the nuts go?
22:13Let's show him one more time in Super Crow slow-mo!
22:17Whoa!
22:18The crow knew you were watching!
22:20Look what it does next, Ronald!
22:23It's hiding the nut and flying off with it!
22:26Wow!
22:26But where did the crow cache his nuts?
22:29Over here!
22:31Look at all those nuts!
22:34And that means the crow wins the challenge!
22:38And the crows win the Crowlympics!
22:40Stop!
22:43I don't want to hear you cheer for the crow!
22:45And why not?
22:46Didn't the game just prove that the crow is an amazing and super smart animal?
22:51Yes!
22:52I admit it!
22:53Crows are super smart!
22:55Then why don't you want us to cheer for the crow?
22:57You didn't let me finish!
22:59I don't want you to cheer for the crow without me!
23:02Who's the smartest bird we know?
23:04Crows!
23:05Crows!
23:06Crows!
23:08Yeah!
23:09Yeah!
