00:19So, what's the secret for a perfect stunt?
00:22Physical preparation or being concentrated?
00:25I think it's a mix of both things, really.
00:28I think, and it also depends on what type of stunt,
00:31whether you have physical stunts or whether you have work with vehicles,
00:36which is very different, but same stunt work.
00:38But always preparation is key for us.
00:42There's a lot of safety measures that we have to put in place
00:45before we get the end product, which you'll see on screen.
00:49So, yeah, I think it's a mix of both physical and a lot of preparation.
00:54I think you've worked with many actors.
00:57What is the limit for each actor that you find in them?
01:02Tom Cruise wants to do everything,
01:04other actors don't want to do anything.
01:07So, what's the limit?
01:08It does change a lot from actor to actor.
01:10Some actors are very physical and they want to be immersed in the part,
01:16which is great for us because we get to train with them
01:20and we get to help their ability come across on camera.
01:24But also, in the same light, if they don't want to do the action,
01:27great for us as well because then we get to play and work.
01:32But yeah, for both types of actor, it's really nice for us, you know.
01:38If they want to work really hard, that's cool.
01:40If they don't want to, then we get to play more.
01:43Play, I mean work.
01:45But, yeah.
01:46How difficult is shooting scenes in which dinosaurs aren't there?
01:51Maybe you've got a tennis ball or a green screen.
01:55What do you think about?
01:58Well, I mean we were lucky with Jurassic World because they had some animatronics
02:03and some amazing animatronics that look really real.
02:06You can be this close and they look like what I imagine a dinosaur would look like.
02:12Even with breathing and everything.
02:14So, like it's really nice to be in an environment where you have real,
02:19you know, something to work from.
02:21But sometimes, yes, sometimes you are looking at just the green screen
02:24and sometimes you are running away from something imaginary.
02:28But I think that with the action with everybody around
02:32and what that creates is like a tension and a feel.
02:36So when everybody's running, it creates something as well.
02:39So it's a lot easier to be thrown and look and imagining that there's a dinosaur.
02:44You are also acting while you are doing your movements
02:48because, okay, you are a stuntman but you have to put intention to it.
02:51Yeah.
02:51So how do you prepare the psychological aspect of your work?
02:57It depends, like there's two different things.
02:59Like if you're a stunt double, then what you'll do is you'll spend a lot of time,
03:02you'll be watching the actor, understanding how they want to play the part,
03:06understanding if there's any specific movement that you need to mimic as well.
03:12Yeah.
03:13So, and also transformations of bodies.
03:15Like you can, if the actor's thinner, sometimes you'll change your body
03:20or you'll train more to match an actor's physique.
03:23So it looks the same.
03:25But it is very important.
03:26It's important because you, the actor has a way that they want to make it come across on screen.
03:33and it's our job as well to carry that on when we're shooting and looking like them.
03:39So, yeah, super important.
03:40Who are more of a divas?
03:43Actors or dinosaurs?
03:44Definitely dinosaurs.
03:46Definitely dinosaurs.
03:48Yeah.
03:49Yeah, we were lucky actually.
03:50There was no divas.
03:51Even the dinosaurs were good on our one.
03:53Not even the T-Rex.
03:54No, not even the T-Rex.
03:56He was a little messy, but, and had lots of people to manage him, but he was good.
04:00Yeah.
04:01Did you enjoy Jurassic Park when the first time went to the theaters?
04:06Did you love it?
04:07And so, are you glad of being part of this new trilogy?
04:11Yes.
04:11Yeah.
04:11Like for me, it was actually, I got to, I was fortunate enough to double for Sam Neill.
04:17And I only do a little bit for him, but I got to meet him.
04:21And as somebody that really liked the first Jurassic World, he's the original cast.
04:26Um, so it was very, I was very honored to be working with him.
04:31And yeah, I love the Jurassic World movies and, um, and I think they've done an amazing
04:36job of this one.
04:37And it's great to be a part of it and be immersed in the world with the big sets and
04:43the live locations
04:44and all the dinosaurs and, and all the lovely cast and crew.
04:48Can you reveal me the secret of the Chris Pratt stopping dinosaurs with his hands?
04:56I don't know.
04:57That would be a Chris Pratt.
