Trascrizione
00:00Tim Burton and Wednesday Addams are like a marriage made in heaven.
00:03The only person who gets to torture my brother is me.
00:09When you have an iconic filmmaker like Tim Burton,
00:13you conjure up a visual of what his aesthetic is.
00:16Tim is such an iconic director.
00:19I used to have consistent dreams about Beetlejuice when I was younger.
00:23Tim Burton, such an incredible filmmaker,
00:25and Tim was always our first choice for the series Wednesday.
00:28The thing that makes Tim a great visual director
00:31is that he has an amazing sense of color and style.
00:34After 37 years, I always have fun with Tim Burton.
00:38He likes to keep things visceral.
00:40Action.
00:41Hello, my little black cloud.
00:43How was your first week?
00:44What I love about Tim's vision,
00:47there's as quirky and as creative as it can be,
00:50there is a truth about the characters.
00:52That's what makes them believable in worlds
00:55that are sometimes not so believable.
00:57Tim sees himself as an outsider,
00:59and I think there's an affinity to the character of Wednesday
01:02that he's always loved.
01:03You look back at his movies, there are characters like Wednesday,
01:06and I think this is kind of a dream come true for him
01:08to really explore that character.
01:11Holy crap!
01:12Do you make a habit scaring the hell out of people?
01:14It's more of a hobby.
01:15The Addams family is very symbolic of how I feel about families.
01:20I mean, I think all families are strange.
01:22Larch, please remind my parents that I'm no longer speaking to them.
01:26I particularly love Wednesday
01:28because she shares my worldview on things,
01:31and that was fun to explore.
01:34Nevermore is an enigma,
01:35a place where the questions far away the answers.
01:39I wanted to create a world
01:40where these characters are in heightened reality
01:43with school, therapy, your parents.
01:46It just spoke to me on all those levels.
01:49Tim is one of the most detail-oriented directors
01:52I've ever worked with.
01:53About framing and what lenses we would use
01:56because he kind of liked when they were wide
01:57and a bit disoriented.
01:59He also drew a lot.
02:02Goth comes to him very naturally,
02:04and Tim designed what the monster looks like in the show.
02:08He had a couple sketches on his table
02:10and the writers saw it and they said,
02:11that one.
02:12We love working on the world building with Tim.
02:15Behold.
02:16The sets.
02:18The colors.
02:19The palette.
02:20Tim really elevated things
02:22with the cast of actors
02:24that he was able to assemble in every role.
02:27This show is not a TV series.
02:29It is an extended Tim Burton movie.
02:30In this more longer form,
02:32to see it come to life,
02:33that's the fun of it.
02:35I've never done something quite like this.
02:39It was very exciting
02:40to be able to be a part of the Addams Family world.
02:42Did you hear that, my little storm clown?
02:45You're in excellent hands.
03:03I'm going to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able
03:04to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be
03:04able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to
03:04be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able
03:04to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be
03:04able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to
03:04be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able
03:04to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be
03:04able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to
