00:19also known to the world as Marilyn Manson.
00:23He studied how to manipulate people.
00:26He groomed her. He's a predator.
00:29Everyone was looking at Marilyn Manson, and they weren't looking at Brian Warner.
00:33Numerous women heard my story, and they knew exactly who it was.
00:37I realized that I wasn't the only one that this had happened to.
00:40You're not alone.
00:41I know. It's crazy.
00:43We were outside of the statute of limitations.
00:46We had run out of time, and nothing in our evidence could help us.
00:50Statistically, a lot of victims take 7 to 10 years
00:53to even recognize that they were a victim of this abuse.
00:59I became an activist fighting for victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
01:07Not only did people hear our stories, but they said,
01:10yeah, we hear you, and something does need to change.
01:13Any of those that will expand the statute of limitations
01:16is really important to survivors like us.
01:20We need to make sure that this doesn't happen to anybody else.
01:23I realized that this is the first time I haven't been doubted or questioned or shamed.
01:30This is the first time that someone was really listening.
01:33I was like, what is this feeling?
01:35And it's this feeling of being believed.
01:48Is this feeling of beingence it than anybody else?
