00:13So, my first question is for Aiden. What was more complicated? Memorizing time travel dialogue
00:20or having to act like you had gas the whole time?
00:24That's a good question. You know, that whole sequence of Paradox Psychosis was a brilliant move on Steve's part.
00:31When I read that in the script, I was like, wow, this is a very fun, unshrotted shade that I
00:38get to play as five.
00:40And so, like, if you watch it, each take, before they started rolling, I would sprint into the mark
00:49and just get myself and just contort because that whole sequence is just five experiencing the side effects
00:57of being in close proximity to a past version of himself.
01:02And so, as an actor, it was fun to think about what that might be like
01:06and experiment and create this really out-of-body experience that five is going through.
01:15So, that was fun to do.
01:17But, yeah, I suppose part of that is also him holding in gas.
01:22But most of the gas acting was beautifully done by a sound design crew.
01:29So, what was the first part of the question?
01:33Yeah, which was harder, memorizing the time travel dialogue or acting like you had gas?
01:38Well, I always memorize dialogue mostly based on, like, I don't, I can memorize an entire scene,
01:47but I know none of the lines because the cue to remember the line is the last word of the
01:53previous line.
01:54So, when I'm acting with David, for example, and we're locked into a scene,
01:58I'm right there with him and it's Diego, it's not David.
02:03I'm in the environment.
02:04There aren't cameras.
02:05We're in Elliot's house.
02:07We're here.
02:08We're now.
02:09We're in a real conversation.
02:10He says something and based off of that, a thought pops into my mind.
02:15This is how I'm going to do it.
02:16It's very organic.
02:18So, dialogue for me has always been fairly easy.
02:22Once I get in the room with the other acting, we can bounce it off and see the rhythm of
02:26the scene.
02:28But, yeah, when time travel is thrown into the mix, I have to make sure I understand it so that
02:33I don't mess it up
02:34because Five knows exactly what he's talking about.
02:37He spent decades studying it.
02:40So, yeah, you got to do your homework.
02:44Yeah, so Diego goes through some pretty crazy stuff in this season.
02:49Like, literally at the beginning, he's in a loony bin.
02:52What was your reaction when you read all the things that happened to him throughout the season?
02:57When I found out about the loony bin, it was great because then I think maybe like a month before
03:06we started production,
03:07I went to Thailand and I figured if I'm going to train and get myself into, like, martial arts shape,
03:15I might as well just sign myself up to a Muay Thai camp because I figured, you know,
03:21Diego's been locked up for a little bit.
03:23I'll just go somewhere where they don't speak English.
03:24It was nice.
03:26and then Steve sent me the scripts and then I said, wow, he's really gone crazy.
03:34And then from that point on, I started seeing that hopefully none of my loved ones die this time
03:40and thankfully, I was right, right?
03:45No one dies, right?
03:47Yeah, I don't think so.
03:49Oh, no, let's see.
03:51Kevin does die.
03:54Who dies?
03:57Well, Ben dies again, but yeah.
04:00Oh, yeah.
04:01Okay, so final question for the both of you.
04:04Which of you would handle himself better in a real time travel scenario, do you think?
04:10In terms of living in a different era?
04:14Mm-hmm.
04:15Oh.
04:16I think I'll be all right.

04:19I think if us as family members or cast members are together, I think we'll fare all right.
04:26on our own, it might be a little bit isolating to not know anyone and be completely unfamiliar with, you

04:37but for the most part, I think we'd be able to adjust.
