00:00An ongoing Pentagon investigation has reportedly preliminary determined that Washington was
00:05responsible for a deadly tomahawk missile strike on an Iranian elementary school in February that
00:11killed at least 175 people, most of them children. According to the New York Times,
00:16quoting unnamed U.S. officials and others familiar with the initial findings, the investigation has
00:21concluded that the strike was a result of an alleged targeting mistake by the U.S. military
00:26planners. Iranian President Massoud Peseskian condemned Washington's strike on the school
00:30in the town of Midnav as inhumane. The attack was heavily denounced by governments and human rights
00:36organizations, while independent analysis had also pointed to U.S. culpability. The Trump
00:42administration continued with a policy of evasion around the strike, trying to initially blame it
00:46on Iranian forces.
