Un video sulla scena degli specchi del film Suspiria
Trascrizione
00:03I saw the original Suspiria
00:05when I was about 15
00:07and I thought it was great
00:08it was such a fantastic story
00:10all female dance school
00:12coven of witches masquerading as a dance school
00:14such an intriguing idea
00:16and I loved the first movie
00:17so when Luca contacted me
00:20to see if I was interested
00:21it was like wow
00:22yeah of course
00:22most of the prosthetics on the film are silicon
00:25we have a silicon material called plat gel 10
00:27and it feels like real skin
00:29and you soften it down to however you want
00:31in the scene of the in the mirror room
00:33we have a character called Olga
00:34who is leaving the dance school
00:38the witches are going to stop her leaving
00:40so Dakota Johnson's character
00:42Susie is dancing in the room next door
00:44so the actions that Susie makes
00:47inflict damage and pain on the woman in the room next door
00:57so we'd spoken with Luca a lot about this
01:00and he had all these ideas of her
01:02she gets broken down into
01:04she gets an impact in her jaw
01:06so we did a dislocated jaw prosthetic
01:09and a set of teeth that are offset
01:16and then we had a stomach prosthetic
01:18where the chest is broken out
01:21and then Luca wanted some really violent action
01:24so we decided we were going to remove her arm
01:27and twist it right round up
01:29round the back of her neck
01:30into some horrible position
01:32we did the same with the leg
01:33so she hits the other side of the mirror room
01:35and her leg gets broken round the back
01:37so we created a fake leg that looked like Olga's real leg
01:41one of Olga's arms and one of Olga's legs
01:43and then she's crawling around on the floor
01:45which looks really grotesque and bizarre
01:48during the process of the film
01:50there's three girls who try to get out of the school
01:53and each one meets an untimely end
01:56Mia Goth plays a dead girl
01:58and they all get their stomachs sliced open in her
02:01we've done a full body makeup on Chloe Moretz
02:04which takes about five hours
02:05there's about 20 prosthetic pieces
02:08so we cover her whole body
02:09Luca had some really great reference
02:12pictures from forensic books
02:14to get the colours and all that stuff
02:17and then there's a scene in the movie
02:19where Dakota Johnson has a
02:21she opens up her chest
02:22with blood streaming down off it
02:24which again is a silicon appliance
02:26that she can tear her skin open
02:29and behind it is the mouth
02:31with all of it there's a bit of work
02:33between ourselves and visual effects
02:36we've had several gory blood effects to do on this movie
02:41there's a few key scenes where something brutal happens
02:47there's a scene where Sylvie Testude, Miss Griffith
02:51stabs herself in the neck a couple of times
02:53so we've created an appliance with holes in here
02:56and we're spurting blood out of that
02:58there's another scene where our friend Tilda gets her head chopped off
03:03Tilda Swinton plays Madame Blanc
03:05but she also plays Helena Marcus
03:06the matriarchal witch who controls the coven
03:10Luca wanted to come up with something really disturbing
03:13and he had a photograph of an old lady
03:16with little black round glasses on
03:19and a grey hairdo
03:21and she's kind of fat and grotesque looking
03:27it's like a new take on a witch
03:29you know
03:31it's not the sort of classic
03:33hook nose, pointy ear, chin with a wart on it
03:36kind of take
03:37you know
03:37it's hopefully something quite disturbing and shocking
03:42we've also done another character
03:43Death
03:44and trying to do something a bit different
03:45you know it's skeletal
03:46but it's got some kind of architectural feel to it
03:50the face is covered up
03:51and one of the eyes is going to be digitally removed by visual effects
03:55so it's like a socket
03:56it's great doing a horror movie
03:58for someone who's not really a horror movie director
04:01you know
04:02so it's bringing a different angle to it
04:04I'm really pleased to be doing it with Luca
04:06because he's got a real artistic eye to it all
04:10you know
04:10I think a real deep understanding of the genre
04:14so fingers crossed that it's all going to be fabulous
04:35you know
04:40you
