00:04I've been watching you and you watching me, my dear Miss Everton, make no mistake, the game is coming to
00:18its end.
00:27It's a fantastic story, but it's also a very important story to tell about how powerful just one voice can
00:33be.
00:33It's really incredible to see it develop from a girl who's fighting to survive in her world to become this
00:38symbol for this huge uprising.
00:44The importance of this sequence of films is to reach out to young people and embed in them the information
00:51that change is essential, but also possible.
00:56You feel the history that these characters have built up. It's a very exciting emotional journey.
01:05It's great storytelling, and it is always honorable. It pulls that off because it is so rooted in Katniss's point
01:12of view.
01:29How much?
01:31You keep it. It's yours.
01:33Thank you.
01:39Katniss has the world placed on her shoulders, and she just becomes this futuristic Joan of Arc.
01:46Prim!
01:48I volunteer!
01:50I volunteer as tribute!
01:52She's an ordinary girl, and out of a good heart and doing what she believes in, she allows people to
01:58have strength for the first time in a long time.
02:01Since the last games, something's different.
02:04I can see it.
02:05What can you see?
02:08Hope.
02:11Katniss is doing all of this for not only her family, but for all the other families that have had
02:17to suffer through the things that the Capitol have put them through.
02:20So, for one girl to change the world that way is so incredible.
02:25She's become a beacon of hope for the rebellion.
02:29She has to be eliminated.
02:33Don't follow her.
02:34She's the face of this rebellion.
02:37All the other districts respect her because she is fighting for what she believes is right.
02:42Both her and Peter, the people that surround them as well, they're making people realize that it's possible to change
02:48this world.
02:49Are you fighting, Katniss?
02:51Are you here to fight with us?
02:53I am.
02:55I will.
03:06Action.
03:12Production was enormous, but the world we wanted to build was enormous.
03:20I feel like our practical locations give the movie's sense of scope and place and a groundedness.
03:27We don't want this to feel like some future you can't imagine.
03:31This ought to feel like who we might become.
03:41The sets of the movie are remarkable.
03:44They're better than you could have imagined in the books.
03:50In District 12, we found these far-out places, really dilapidated, war-torn and run-down, and they're locations that
03:56hadn't been really shot before.
03:58We ended up finding an abandoned mill town.
04:01There were about 35, almost identical, turn-of-the-century factory homes for the workers that lived on premises, and
04:07it was absolutely perfect.
04:14Breathe it all in, children.
04:16This is all for you.
04:18The Capitol sets are unbelievable.
04:20I've never seen anything like it.
04:21I do feel like I'm just in a wonderland.
04:28Besides the opulence and the vastness and the scale, there wasn't a lot of specific description of the Capitol in
04:36the books.
04:36We found these buildings from the 1936 World's Fair, these kind of temples to industry.
04:46The Capitol is the ultimate in power and control.
04:53We have never seen anything like this.
04:59And we will never see anything like it again.
05:06To go from the beginning of The Hunger Games, this intimate, rural setting, through Catching Fire, and now into what
05:14becomes The Mockingjay, just huge in scale.
05:18Those are the elements that are going to be quite thrilling for audiences.
05:40Even though you have a fantastical world, we're trying to ground it, to base it in reality.
05:48When we're designing the action for these sequences, we're trying to steer more towards realism.
05:53Very believable, very gritty.
05:56There's a lot of excitement.
05:59For Liam, for Josh, for Jennifer, for Sam, they've had action throughout all these films, but this was the culmination
06:06of all that we've done before.
06:07It's their shining moment.
06:10It's kind of like athletes who know each other.
06:12You get to play as a team together, and it really adds even more to the intensity of what's at
06:18stake here.
06:26Let's go show them what real beauty looks like.
06:34The costumes and the clothes are absolutely brilliant.
06:45They have that sense of rebellion about them.
06:50I mean, we just had so much fun with that playful, imaginative quality.
06:58Some incredible, incredible pieces.
07:01Like, can I keep this?
07:02It's so cool and so amazing.
07:07When we finally got our look down, we really wanted to have something that was like very avant-garde makeup
07:12that nobody would ever really wear in real life.
07:15It was just wild and fabulous.
07:20I love that!
07:27Canis, if you die, and I live, I'd have nothing.
07:33Nobody needs me.
07:35I need you.
07:42Being a part of this has been incredible.
07:44We create a family, and every single person was a part of that.
07:48Together?
07:50Together.
07:52It's been such an incredible chapter in my life, filming these movies.
07:57So the fact that anyone could be touched by them is amazing.
08:02Jen is amazingly talented.
08:04One of my best friends.
08:05We experience a lot of very pivotal points in both of our lives together.
08:10Along with Josh, we kind of have a bond that a lot of people can't relate to because of just
08:15the things we've been through together.
08:17Jennifer's lovely and intelligent and interested, but also is in touch with Katniss' emotional life in a way that is
08:24palpable.
08:24She really is the heroine you want to watch.
08:35Everyone's very supportive, everyone's very grounded, everyone's very real.
08:42To have been a part of that, to kind of experience that with the fans, as a fan, I think
08:46that will live on forever.
08:51I don't think you know how important you are to them.
08:59I think it's the funnest set I've ever been on.
09:02It's like old friends who are really familiar with each other.
09:08Francis Lawrence is the perfect director because he's a visionary.
09:11He's incredibly creative.
09:12To be able to wrap up these stories, cinematically, was really exciting for me.
09:30Our moment has arrived.
09:33President Coyne and Katniss' relationship is very complicated because Katniss knows that she should trust President Coyne, but she doesn't.
09:41And President Coyne can see how important Katniss is to leading this rebellion.
09:46Snow loves her character.
09:48He loves her spirit, but he doesn't want her to succeed.
09:52I mean, make no mistake of that.
09:54With everything, prepare to pay the ultimate price.
09:59You see this transition where Katniss feels like she's playing a role.
10:04And slowly, almost without her realizing, she becomes the embodiment of what she's playing.
10:10The forward energy of this rebellion starts silding in size.
10:14Katniss is that beacon of hope.
10:17Fire is catching.
10:18And if we burn, you burn with us.
10:24In Mockingjay 2, this much bigger responsibility starts presenting itself.
10:29This is the first time where we really see her start to be a leader.
10:32Snow has to pay for what he's done.
10:34And I can't make another speech about it.
10:36You actually see Katniss and the rebels for the first time together in this concerted effort to fight against the
10:44capital.
10:44We got one shot.
10:46Let's make it count.
10:47This is the movie where all the ideas that have been building up come to a head.
10:52It's epic.
10:52There's a lot of action.
10:53It's very emotional.
10:55People really will feel the full history of these movies.
11:04Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 76 Hunger Games.
11:09One person can change the world.
11:14It's so exciting.
11:18It's a thrilling ride start to finish.
11:23In this final chapter, it all comes to a clash.
11:27There's so many little twists and turns.
11:29And as an audience member, I think you can look forward to a story that will keep you on the
11:32edge of your seat.
11:34All the stories have led to this moment to get in there and make a difference.
11:39Our lives were never ours.
11:41They belong to snow and our deaths do too.
11:44But if you end all of this, Katniss, all those deaths, they mean something.
11:55In this movie, Katniss is taking on the responsibility for a much bigger purpose.
12:02We have a chance of changing the future.
12:07Tonight, turn your weapons to the capital.
12:13Turn your weapons to snow.
12:47We have a chance of changing the future.
12:49We have a chance of changing the future.
12:54We have a chance of changing the future.
12:56We have a chance of changing the future.
12:57We have a chance of changing the future.
12:57We have a chance of changing the future.
12:58We have a chance of changing the future.
12:58We have a chance of changing the future.
12:59We have a chance of changing the future.
12:59We have a chance of changing the future.
13:00We have a chance of changing the future.
13:00Grazie.
