00:59operational alignment between Tehran and Hezbollah in the ongoing war. Shortly after the claim,
01:06social media platforms were flooded with videos showing what appears to be a projectile descending
01:12and exploding, accompanied by captions stating that a missile from Lebanon made a direct impact
01:18in Herzliya. However, Israeli authorities have not confirmed any direct hit in the city. As of early
01:26March 12th, there have been no official reports of damage, casualties or emergency responses in
01:32Herzliya connected to the barrage. Israeli media outlets have also not verified that the Gililat base
01:39itself was struck. Security assessments are ongoing and analysts believe most projectiles in recent
01:46attacks have either been intercepted by Israel's multi-layered air defense systems or landed in
01:53other locations. The claim comes amid a rapidly escalating confrontation between Israel and Iran
02:00that intensified in late February and early March 2026. In recent weeks, Hezbollah has dramatically
02:08increased rocket and drone attacks toward northern and central Israel, often in coordination with Iranian
02:15missile operations. Israel has responded with extensive air strikes across Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah
02:22infrastructure, financial networks and senior commanders. Ground operations in southern Lebanon are also
02:29continuing. The Gililat base, if targeted successfully, would represent a significant symbolic and strategic
02:37strike because of its role in Israeli intelligence operations. But for now, there's no independent
02:44confirmation that the site or the nearby city of Herzliya was actually hit. Military officials say further
02:51assessments are underway as Israel monitors additional threats from Hezbollah and Iran.
