00:02We're ready to move on to the next phase.
00:06It's an origin story about Caesar, that first ape, that stood up and started to lead the revolution.
00:14And for the first time, you get to see the world through his eyes.
00:23This film is about what can happen when you mess with science.
00:32I want you to start testing the revised 112 ASAP.
00:36I'll give you whatever you need.
00:38Our film starts with James Franco's character, Dr. Will Rodman.
00:42Our drug allows the brain to repair itself.
00:45We call it a cure to Alzheimer's.
00:49Young scientist who's actually trying to do something great, but there is an unintended consequence.
00:54Will Rodman finds a chimp called Caesar, who has genetically inherited this drug from his mother.
00:59And so he decides to take him home.
01:01Home.
01:02Caesar is physically like a regular chimpanzee, but because of the drug, he has an incredibly advanced brain.
01:10He built a pretty good home for Caesar here.
01:12But Caesar will soon grow into a large, powerful animal.
01:17In the space of a few years, Caesar grows up as an individual living in a human world,
01:22but he's not allowed out.
01:23So he sees everything through this one windowpane.
01:25He witnesses a brutalization of Will's father and comes bursting out.
01:33Daddy!
01:34And so he's then put into a sanctuary.
01:37He hasn't spent any time with other chimps.
01:40He'll be a little skittish at first, but we'll integrate him.
01:44You have to trust me.
01:45But I'm going to get you out of here.
01:48And at this point, he realizes that his world has turned on his head.
01:52Stupid monkey.
01:53And he's basically this total alien.
01:55And so it's all about his coming of age in this environment.
02:01You see him almost want to lose his humanity and revert to being an ape,
02:06but because of the drug that he's inherited, he has this intelligence,
02:09which he's beginning to be aware of,
02:12which he then uses to galvanize these apes and begin to revolve.
02:17What have I done?
02:19It's the story of a revolution encapsulated within evolution.
02:23That in itself is dangerous.
02:24Because that then leads to a chimpanzee being very aware
02:29of what is being done to both him and his own kind.
02:32And from there we then springboard into what happens next.
02:35Caesar!
02:36Caesar!
02:54Caesar!
02:56Caesar!
02:57Grazie a tutti
