00:13I think Nizam is introduced to the audience as the perfect uncle.
00:20He's also introduced to the audience in the prologue, if you like,
00:25as the hand that reached out to the boy in the street
00:28and pulled him onto the back of a royal horse and changed his life forever.
00:34So you do see Nizam as a royal uncle, brother to the king,
00:40and almost the defender and teacher of the young adopted prince, Dastan.
00:47Dastan is an orphan at the very beginning of the movie,
00:50and he's taken in by the king of Persia because of a good deed that he does.
00:55And his uncle, Nizam, is the king's brother.
00:59So they're not related by blood, but they are related in one way or another.
01:04They are very, very close at the beginning of the movie.
01:08He is a father figure in a lot of ways to Dastan.
01:12And then, ultimately, by the end, Nizam is a big surprise
01:18because his character is not what Dastan thought.

02:28Dastan doesn't even know at first what its power is
02:31and ultimately joins forces with Tamina to protect it,
02:34to be used only for good.
02:36So my character Tamina is the protector of the dagger.
02:41So that's her mission in the film,
02:43is to protect it at any cost,
02:45even if it means risking her own life.
02:47so that's why I decided not to change sigui byANNA.
