00:05R is a zombie and he meets this girl, Julie, played by Teresa Palmer.
00:14When we were casting that role, we realised that we needed someone, obviously, that could
00:21play opposite me because I was being quite flat and unexpressive, I guess. We needed
00:29someone who was very bubbly and alive and infectious to be around.
00:36And I remember doing the first reading with her and at one point, at the end of a scene,
00:39she kind of gave me a little nudge and a smile and I looked at her and I thought, yeah,
00:43okay,
00:43this girl's got something whereby she's got grit and you believe that she could survive in this
00:49world but she's also, she's got a little spark in her whereby you can understand why I don't eat her.
00:59It looks like she's becoming human.
01:01There's even a balcony scene at one point when R turns up to talk to Julie and regain her trust
01:10and love,
01:10I guess, so, and M is Mercutio and Nora is Nurse, there's a lot of links there.

01:21R and M have a strange relationship whereby they don't really talk a lot, they try and communicate.
01:29They go hunting together and also, you know, M is R's wingman completely.
01:40Rob Corddry is a very, very funny man and I struggled through every scene with him just
01:46because he'd make me laugh so much.
01:52You have to believe in that and there has to be a little fire in your belly and you've got
01:57to be open
01:58to it, haven't you, and just enjoy it, I guess.
