00:00The U.S. says it has destroyed 16 Iranian mine-laying vessels near the Strait of Hormuz
00:06after Iran threatened to block oil exports from the waterway responsible for a fifth
00:11of global energy transports.
00:13Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump warned Tehran of unprecedented intense attacks if
00:19it moved to restrict the strait to further destabilize global energy markets, which have
00:24already experienced volatility during the war.
00:26On Tuesday, senior Iranian lawmakers warned that the Strait of Hormuz will either be
00:32a strait of peace and prosperity for all, or a, quote, strait of punishment for warmongers.
00:38Washington's attacks late on Tuesday closed out day 11 of the war, which many including
00:44residents of Tehran have described as the most intense day yet.
00:48The Israeli army throughout the day targeted multiple locations across the Persian nation
00:53as it looks to eliminate the country's offensive posture.
00:56Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel will continue to strike Iran for as long
01:01as necessary until it no longer poses a threat to his country.
01:05The IDF is also continuing to carry out wide-scale operations across neighboring Lebanon on targets
01:12it claims are linked to the Iran-backed Hezbollah group.
01:15Tehran is continuing to retaliate, with Tuesday seeing multiple barrages of drones and missiles
01:21fired at Israel and neighboring Gulf states hosting U.S. bases.
01:24Many in the region, including Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait reported attacks,
01:31which they say were intercepted.
01:34Air raid sirens also consistently sounded across multiple Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv,
01:40with the IDF reporting steady streams of incoming Iranian fire throughout the day.
01:50The International Energy Agency said that its member countries have agreed to release oil
01:56from its reserves in a response to the Iran war.
01:59The agency agreed to release 400 million oil barrels,
02:04the largest emergency oil distribution in its history.
02:07This is a major action aiming to alleviate the immediate impacts of the disruption in markets.
02:17But, to be clear, the most important thing for a return to stable flows of oil and gas
02:25is the resumption of transit through the state of Hormuz.
02:30The decision aims to bring down oil prices amid the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.
02:36Iran has effectively halted cargo traffic through the Strait of Hormuz,
02:41through which around a fifth of all oil is shipped from the Persian Gulf to the Indian Ocean.
02:47Germany, Austria, and Japan had already announced they would release parts of their oil reserves as well.
02:57European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has underlined the European Union's commitment
03:03to international law and the multilateral system.
03:06This reminder came on Wednesday as she addressed the European Parliament in Strasbourg
03:12and two days after she invited controversy by declaring the 27-member bloc
03:17could no longer be a custodian for the old world order for a world that has gone and will not
03:23return.
03:24Seeing the world as it is in no way diminishes our determination to fight for the world as we want
03:34it.
03:35The European Union was founded as a peace project.
03:38Our unwavering commitment to the pursuit of peace, to the principles of the UN Charter and to international law
03:49are as central today as they were at our creation.
03:55And we will always uphold these principles.
04:00Vond der Leyen's controversial speech on Monday met a mixed reception.
04:04The Commission President's defenders said it was a much-needed dose of real politics,
04:10but critics said it risked giving permission for Europeans to turn a blind eye to legal breaches.
04:18The backdrop of the war in the Middle East, which has sharply split European capitals
04:23and fuelled accusations that Vond der Leyen's diplomatic activities have seen her overstep her mandate,
04:29further amplified the approval.
04:36A buzzfire has killed at least six people and injured several others in the Swiss town of Kertsers on Tuesday.
04:43The cause of the fire is not yet known,
04:46but investigation is underway to determine whether it was a deliberate act
04:51after an eyewitness indicated as much.
04:53A man inside the bus poured out petrol and set himself alight,
04:58a witness claimed in a video shared with Swiss media.
05:02Authorities said panicked passengers were seen escaping the burning vehicle.
05:06Police have opened a criminal investigation and appealed for witnesses to come forward.
05:15FANTAS Porto has returned to its home of recent years, the Bataha Cinema,
05:19for the 46th edition of what is Porto's biggest film festival and one of the biggest in Portugal.
05:25The festival has two major competitive sections,
05:28one dedicated to fantasy cinema and the other to author films of all genres, the Director's Week.
05:36In the fantasy film category, the first prize went to an Argentine film, Encantador.
05:41A classic horror movie with many scares that won over the jury.
05:52It's quite a classic film for its genre.
05:56A murderer who's kidnapped some women and then the story is quite well told
06:05and within a very impressive actor performance as well.
06:10I think the atmosphere and also the production design was very well done.
06:18Greek director Vasilis Mazomenos, already an iconic figure at the festival,
06:22has presented almost all of his films and takes home the Critics Award with Endless Land,
06:27a tribute to rural life and the lost traditions of the deep countryside.
06:35The film is not different, the format is different, the ideas of the people who remain there.
06:44I believe that, even if it doesn't seem to me with the first one, it is a political film.
06:48In a time where we again live in the war, the return of the basic beginnings of the cycle of
07:01life,
07:02those that we had taught us our parents and we have enjoyed, it is the most important thing.
07:08In Batalha, the seventh art joins the art of Júlio Pomar.

08:06mais conhecido no artístico site do Júrgos Lanthimos.
08:09O diretor internacionalmente acclaimed e o multi-award-winning Master of Moving Images
08:14presenta a sua deep passion for still photography
08:16through a major exhibition, aptly titled Photographs,
08:20featuring a total of 182 photographs.
08:23Onde está o artístico site do Júrgos Lanthimos?
08:54O artístico site do Júrgos Lanthimos,

09:12Mas um trabalho
09:14which is very large and direct in relation to other things.
09:44The most difficult known is the fact that in the last five or six years he's been using a still
09:48camera as well.
09:49He's been making his own photographs alongside the sets of his films,
09:54but most significantly he's also been making personal work.
09:58And there is a relationship between the cinema and the still photographs.
10:03The photographic exhibition by Giorgos Lanthimos at the Onassis Foundation in Athens runs until May 17.

10:47Winnie the Pooh is that lovable everyman, right?
10:50We see the frustrations that he has waking up in the morning because we see that too.
10:54So he's a little bit of a mirror on all of us.
10:57He's lovable, he's affable, he's that kind-hearted, tubby little stuff full of fluff that we all love to embrace
11:02and enjoy.
11:04And that's something that makes the character timeless, lovable, and just truly amazing.
11:15Pooh definitely is a bringer of joy, and he's very, you know, very calm.
11:22You never see Pooh get overly flustered.
11:25Even when he does get upset, he still, there's a calmness to his demeanor, which I think most people really
11:32gravitate to.
