00:05Come and see, come and see, come and see, come and see, come and see, come and see.
00:05Well, it's something I've been working towards for a few years.
00:08I was directing small things here and there when I could fit them into my busy acting schedule.
00:14And, you know, it's a lot to take the time to do a feature.
00:18And really I think, as with all things in Hollywood, the stars just sort of aligned for this one, you
00:23know.
00:24When it looked like Jason's other movie was going to come together and we made a list of who else
00:30could direct the movie,
00:32everyone just said, the list is stupid, you should just do it.
00:39I loved it. I mean, I think it's sort of, I look back on it probably more fondly than I
00:45felt every day working on it,
00:46but I definitely, now that I'm on the other side of it, I'm really excited that I took it on.
00:54And I really did enjoy it. I loved working with the crew especially.
00:57I mean, just collaborating with them on a daily basis.
00:59You know, I've obviously worked with actors my whole career, but, and I love actors
01:03and I'm so in love with all the actors in this film.
01:07But it was, it was the, the crew all working towards the vision that really impressed me the most.
01:15I had so much fun with everyone.
01:23Well, you know, the first film, in the first film, the Bart and Bellas are,
01:29they're sort of big fish in a small pond. You know, the whole setting is sort of on the college
01:33campus.
01:33It's boys against the girls and it feels, it feels young and bright and fresh and everything that it's supposed
01:39to feel.
01:40But I really wanted the second movie because the women are now graduating, older, looking at life after the Bellas,
01:47looking at the big world. I wanted the movie to be the big world.
01:51So I wanted the pond to be an ocean and I wanted them to be guppies again with, with sharks
01:57swimming around them.
01:59And that's really, you know, that was my main goal.
02:02I wanted to feel like everything was bigger, that they were meeting a lot of adults.
02:08You know, all the new cameos in this film are bonafide grownups.
02:13You know, the, the riff off from the first film, which was in the pool at night with the other
02:19collegiate groups,
02:20very sweet and cool.
02:22This one is like a fight club, you know, an underground, dark, much scarier event with like real grownups, you
02:31know,
02:31as their competitors.
02:33So I wanted, I wanted to be constantly on theme of these are women who are graduating from Barton Bellas
02:40to Bellas for Life.
02:42And they're, you know, that, that we were telling a story in that transitional time, when you go from being
02:47a big fish,
02:48a senior on your college campus, to having to start over again.
02:53Who run the world?
02:55Girls!
02:55We run this mother
02:56Girls!
02:57Girls!
02:58Girls!
02:58Girls!
02:58Grazie.
