00:30What are you doing here?
00:31I just finished my first draft on my new book, so I'm here to deliver it.
00:35It's been far too long.
00:38This is Melon Donaker. This is my daughter.
00:40Alice.
00:41Hey.
00:42I would like to read your story.
00:44It's nothing.
00:45Why don't you let me decide?
00:46Why don't you just say, hey, about that little thing that happened 15 years ago that you never owned up
00:51to or apologized for like you should have.
00:53It's my job.
00:55This is the new story. I'm not really sure about the ending.
00:58It's good.
00:58You made notes all over.
01:00It only becomes real if you give it concrete data.
01:03You've written seven novels since Waking Eyes.
01:07None has become a kind of cultural icon.
01:10How does a man in his 40s perfectly capture the essence of a teenage girl?
01:20It's just something that I do.
01:22I see that look in a guy's eyes like he wants me.
01:25It's the only thing that makes me feel real.
01:31Your mother told me what you said.
01:33Maybe misinterpret something.
01:35It's perfectly natural to have feelings for someone who you look up to.
01:41I do this because I believe in your talent.
01:43I know.
01:43You were one of the few people who ever actually seemed to see me.
01:47It's a beautiful character.
01:48And I've been living in her shadow for 15 years.
01:52You used me.
02:01Still she haunts me, phantom wise.
02:04Alice moving under skies.
02:07Never seen by waking eyes.
02:10Alice moving under skies.
02:11Alice moving under skies.
02:15Alice moving under skies.
02:15Alice moving under skies.
02:15Alice moving under skies.
02:16Alice moving under skies.
02:16Alice moving under skies.
02:17Grazie a tutti.
