00:00I heard tale that on the set of this film,
00:04you spent the entire day in the basket of the getaway car.
00:08Yeah, maybe day and a half.
00:10Day and a half.
00:11Was it comfortable? It doesn't look particularly comfortable.
00:13They spent a lot of time and effort making it
00:15as comfortable as possible, which is pretty comfortable.
00:18Gotcha.
00:21And would you drive around it?
00:23Would Michael Caine drive you around,
00:24or would you just sort of just hang out there?
00:27No, just, you know, when we do a shot,
00:30somebody else would have to take it back.
00:32I'm going to sit in there and just ride back.
00:36This movie has Michael Caine, Alan Arkin.
00:39Fantastic actor. You've worked with Michael Caine before.
00:41Have you worked with Alan Arkin before?
00:42No.
00:43Are there people left that you are excited to work with?
00:46Oh, yes.
00:47Really? Oh, good grief, yes.
00:49If you could work with anyone you hadn't worked with,
00:50who would it be?
00:51Anyone.
00:52Oh, okay. So it's not a very high bar.
00:54Well, you know, Seth, it's not a good idea
00:58to start naming names.
01:00That's true. I understand.
01:01That's why you're a beloved actor.
01:02You've never named names.
01:03I don't name names.
01:04Yeah.
01:05I mean, I name the ones that I have worked with,
01:08but naming the ones that I want to work with
01:10and haven't worked with, if you start,
01:12and you go about three or four, and you say,
01:13oh, that's good, but then there may be nine or 12 saying,
01:17what am I, childbirth or something?
01:19Yeah, there you go.
01:20You're a lot smarter about this than I am.
01:23The director of this film, Zach Braff,
01:25I heard that you lost a bet to Zach,
01:27and the price of the bet was you had to record
01:29his outgoing voicemail.
01:30Yes.
01:31Is this...
01:33I would imagine that is a thing people ask you to do
01:35all the time.
01:36Yes.
01:38Are you amenable to it, or do you have to lose a bet
01:40in order to do it?
01:41No. No.
01:42Okay.
01:43I have to lose a big bet now.
01:44Okay.
01:46Because I would imagine it gets exhausting,
01:47having to record a piece.
01:48It gets exhausting, you know.
01:50I can't tell you how many times I've said,
01:53hello, this is so-and-so.
01:55It's not willing to come to the phone right now, you know.
01:59Well, you know, if you want me to record yours,
02:02I feel like you have one coming, you know, karmically,
02:06because no one's ever asked me.
02:09Well, I would, Seth, but, you know,
02:11I have the perfect, absolute perfect telephone answerer.
02:16Oh, yeah?
02:16Yeah. The guy who installed the system was a southerner
02:20with just the most god-awful Mississippi drawl
02:23you ever heard, who calls and says,
02:29hello, leave a number.
02:32Is that true?
02:33Yes. He sounds about as far away from me as you can get.
02:37And you just had him do it?
02:39Well, he did it as a test, and I wouldn't change it.
02:43It was perfect.
02:44So, the one place you can't hear an outgoing voicemail
02:47from Morgan Freeman is on Morgan Freeman's phone.
02:49Absolutely.
02:50Well, there you go. There you go.
02:52Because if you call there and you have never called before,
02:55you'd have the wrong number.
02:56Oh, I see.
02:57You see?
02:58Because he doesn't even say this is Morgan's phone
03:00or anything like that.
03:01Yeah.
03:01So, and because ideally, you don't want people
03:04leaving you messages. Is that safe to say?
03:06Ideally.
03:07Yeah.
03:07Yeah.
03:08I think we're all that way.
03:10Yeah. I mean, particularly people I don't know.
03:12Yeah, those would be the worst people to get from.
03:14Yeah, could be.
03:15You got asked to do some voice work for somebody,
03:19Mark Zuckerberg, to be, what is it, his virtual assistant?
03:23Is that an accurate way?
03:24Sort of, yeah.
03:27This is a smart guy.
03:29So, he's just building something for his own fun, right?
03:34And so, he's dabbling in artificial intelligence,
03:37and he made a character that's a computer he calls Jarvis.
03:43Jarvis, right.
03:44And, you know, Jarvis wakes him up, makes coffee,
03:47opens blinds.
03:49Jarvis is the man Friday.
03:52So, he asked me if I would be the voice.
03:54I said, sure.
03:55Yeah.
03:57Yeah, that's a good person to say yes to.
04:00Yeah.
04:00Yeah.
04:01Good friend to have.
04:02Yeah, very good friend to have.
04:03Mark.
04:08That's crazy to think that there's someone who's so smart
04:10that can just, like, do that on the side.
04:12Yeah, they're intimidating.
04:14Yeah, people like that.
04:15Yeah, he looks like he's about 22.
04:17Yeah.
04:17And that's too awesome for me.
04:20We just baby-proofed my kitchen, and the other day,
04:22I couldn't figure out how to open the drawer.
04:24That's where I'm at.
04:26Don't child-proof anything around you.
04:28I mean, I have to have a child to open one of those caps
04:32and, you know, medicine.
04:33Yeah.
04:34Child-proof.
04:36You know, it's old folk-proof.
04:37Yeah.
04:39And you need to get the old people need to get their pills.
