00:15But I just, I remember so many terrible stories about auditioning, you know.
00:19I had a director once, who shall go unnamed.
00:23I had to learn, like, 15 pages of dialogue.
00:25It was like a monologue in a film, right?
00:27Like, really, really long monologue.
00:29Difficult lines.
00:32And the audition was in this hotel, and, you know, as you know, there's, like, 10 people in the room.
00:38So I started the monologue, and his cell phone starts ringing, right?
00:42Like, in the middle of it.
00:43So, obviously, it rings twice, three times.
00:46He picks it up.
00:47He doesn't say, oh, I'm sorry, right?
00:48He just looks at it, and he goes, okay, start again, you know.
00:52So I start again.
00:54And the phone rings again.
00:56Like, he didn't turn it off.
00:57And he picks it up, and he was, like, he went like this.
01:00And he goes, yeah, no, I'm in a thing right now.
01:02I'll call you right back.
01:03No, don't worry.
01:04Yeah, we can have dinner wherever you want.
01:07Like, literally, he was, like, making dinner plans.
01:10And he said, okay, go ahead.
01:12You know, sorry, start again.
01:14And I did.
01:14And the phone rang again.
01:16And I didn't even let him answer it.
01:18I just, like, got my stuff and left.
01:20Oh, good for you.
01:20And that's so disrespectful, right?
01:22I mean, screw him.
01:23So that was my worst auditioning experience.

01:30I've never had that happen to me.
01:33But I guess most of my bad ones happened earlier on in my career.
01:39Not even for jobs that you care about.
01:41And that's the kicker, that you didn't even care about the job very much in the first place.
01:45But you just, you know, had this feeling of humiliation.
01:50I was in a commercial audition with, like, five other women.
01:55And we were dressed in, like, little, you know, secretary pencil skirts.
02:00And, you know, looked very cute and dainty.
02:03And I asked the guy who was running the audition where our eyeline should be.
02:10And he said, uh-uh-uh, raise your hand.
02:18And I was like, uh-uh-uh, but seriously, where's our eyeline?
02:23He said, raise your hand.
02:25He said, uh-uh-uh, raise your hand.
02:27Whoa.
02:28Yeah, yeah.
02:29And what was also disappointing was that the other ladies just giggled.
02:34And I was like, why are we laughing about this?
