00:05E' arrivato. Ciao baby! Perché sente sempre la musica? La piccola ha avuto un incidente,
00:11gli è rimasto un ronzio nelle orecchie e mette la musica per coprirla. E questo lo rende
00:18il migliore.
00:22From music to silence, the main character is very quiet and that thing disturbs you in
00:28particolare. I want to know, in a world where everybody has to say something on
00:33everything, why do you think that a character that doesn't speak is so strange, so disturbing
00:39in a way?
00:41It's disturbing? What do you mean? Like, um...
00:44Like your character, um, watching him like he's strange, he thinks that he's better than
00:49everybody, he's simply a quiet person.
00:52Right, right. That's funny, that's funny. I never really thought of it, but it's true.
00:58He constantly is nagged throughout the movie, like why is he quiet? Is he dumb or is he
01:04mean or he thinks he's better than...
01:06Who's that, baby?
01:07Yeah, baby.
01:07If you think about all the great films like that, they are like that. If you look at all
01:12the Clint Eastwood, you never spoke a lot.
01:14Exactly. Mad Max has 13 lines in it.
01:19They don't speak and those characters are, those are the movies that intrigue you. You know,
01:25if you look at The Godfather, you know, he didn't speak a lot. You know, he was quiet, he sort
01:31of
01:31took it in. So he's basically embodying us in a sense. Like he's sort of watching things
01:39going. So I thought that, that makes his character even more interesting.
01:45Interesting. Yeah, thank you.
01:47You're very quiet right now. And that's disturbing.
01:51Come on now. No, yeah, I think that, I think what everyone said is right on. You know, I think
01:57in a world where everyone is sort of shouting and clamoring and sharing and liking and uploading
02:03and all that stuff that, that if you don't have a, have that constant noise, then it becomes
02:11something different. It may or may not be interesting to people, but it's at least different. And
02:16I think that's the one thing that becomes valuable in a culture that increasingly values
02:23noise, um, values, a culture that values noise. That's so true. Please put that right there.
02:33That's amazing. That's an amazing statement. Let's do our T-shirt. Exactly. A culture that values
02:39noise. Since in this movie, uh, you drive a lot. I want to know, uh, what happened, uh, the day
02:45of your, uh, driving lessons exam? I passed. Good for you. First time out. I knew I was
02:53gonna, there was no way I was feeling that thing. I, uh, surprisingly, I don't know if
02:58people know this, but in Mexico, you turn 18 and you just get a driver's license. You
03:03don't have to. You don't have to take a test? You don't have to take a test. That explains
03:06a lot. That explains a lot. But I did had, after a year of living in the States, I had,
03:13I had
03:13to take my driver's test. And it was probably the most nerve-wracking moment I ever had
03:17in my entire life. I remember sweating. And I was even more nervous. Did you speak in
03:21Spanish or in English? English. And I had to do the writing test and I had to study that
03:26whole booklet. Mm-hmm. That's the hardest part. It's the hardest part, the writing. Yeah.
03:30Because the driving, I already had it down. I had been doing it for the longest time. That's
03:34true. That's true. Did you pass yours the first time? No, I flunked mine the first time.
03:38Did you? I don't believe that. But it was, it was, it was different circumstance. Because when I went, it
03:42was foggy. Oh. And I drove my grandmother's LTD. Oh. And I'm driving. Ford LTD? Yeah. And
03:50I went to, I went to Parallel Park, you know. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, man. It was like the Titanic.
03:58Take it on water, Captain. Take it on water. So, I don't know what that means. But, and then
04:06the guy said, when did I tell you, when did I tell you to turn your lights off? Because I
04:12never
04:12turned them on. Exactly. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, no. That's not right. 68.
04:19You got a 68. That's right. Two points away. Two points. And then I came back and then.
04:25What happened? Okay. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Pleasure meeting you. Pleasure meeting you.
04:31Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you.
04:34Aspetta, devo rimetterla da capo. Okay, bye. Baby, dimmelo tu. Chi muore? No. Io guido.
04:43Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!
