01:44If you love someone, then ultimately you want them, whether it's the artistic form, you know?

01:55You want them to be happy.
01:57I really think in Katie, even though she knows that that will send Charlie away, him going back to school,
02:04to her, that makes her happy because she loves him and she thinks that that is the best way for
02:11his future
02:11and that he does love that.
02:13And I think that anytime you love someone, you know, especially in this business,
02:19you know, if you're in a relationship, you know, you have to kiss other people and acting.
02:25You have to, you know, go to certain dinners and show up certain places that, you know,
02:29your significant other might not want you to be at or do or be talking to so-and-so, you

02:34And unfortunately in this business, there really is no way around that.
02:38And so you really do have to find someone who actually appreciates your art
02:44and can watch you in a film make out or have sex with another person and be like,
02:50you are happy within your art and I trust you.
02:53And I think that's what Katie does for Charlie in the film.
02:57This movie speaks not only about a girl who has a condition that influenced her,
03:06but also influenced the people who love her because we see in the end of the movie the ones who
03:14stay.
03:16I want to know, in your opinion, how can we still remember a person that we love
03:23and at the same time let go and go on with our lives?
03:33Gosh, there's really no simple way to answer that question, I think, with death.

03:51and it talks about my father and it talks about me always relishing in the fact that, you know,
03:58I'll never have him for the simple things, for, you know, making me coffee
04:03or, you know, walking me down the aisle one day maybe
04:06or, you know, pretty much anything that a father does with his daughter.
04:11And I wrote in there that would it be easier for me to just forget, to just slowly stop thinking

04:23and stop wondering what happened, why it happened, just stop thinking about it altogether and just let it go.
04:32which is a sad mentality in the fact that you're like, well, I never want to let this person go.
04:39But at the end of the day, it's what makes you a stronger person.
04:45If carrying this around and not forgetting about this person, if that makes you happy
04:51and you're able to live throughout your day being your genuine happiest self, and that's amazing.
04:56But for me, I constantly wonder, you know, this baggage that I carry, maybe I should drop it off.
