00:13method to do so? Well, we have just the thing you want. In this video, we will show you the
00:19simplest way you can move your emails from your computer to the online Microsoft 365 cloud with
00:25an amazing tool called kernel Zimbra to Office 365 migration. The tool just has two prerequisites
00:31for working. You must have an active Microsoft 365 account and a TGZ file containing your Zimbra
00:38mailbox. You can download the TGZ file using the Zimbra Desktop Applications Import or Export Wizard.
00:46I have given the link to download the tool in the description. After you have downloaded the TGZ
00:51file and installed the tool, follow these steps. Open the kernel Zimbra to Office 365 migration tool.
00:59The first thing the tool asks is to add the Zimbra TGZ file that you got from the Zimbra Desktop
01:05Application. You have three options to add the emails. Click on the Add File button to add the
01:11complete TGZ file as it is. Click on the Add Extracted Folders button if you want to add the
01:17folders you get after extracting the TGZ file. This option also allows you to add multiple TGZ
01:23extracted folders of different mailboxes. The third option to add single folder allows you to add and
01:30migrate only a specific folder like Inbox, Sent Items, Drafts, etc. I will be adding a single TGZ file in
01:37this video, so I will go with the Add File option. Then, go to the location where the TGZ file
01:43is stored.
01:44Select it and click Open. The tool will scan the TGZ file and display all the folders and data inside
01:51in an organized manner for easy navigation. Select any folder to view its content. Depending upon the
01:58number of emails that folder has, the tool may take a few seconds to list them all. Select any email
02:04to view
02:05it. The tool will show all the email data, including from, subject, to, cc, bcc, time and date, and the
02:13original message. To migrate the data, you either select all folders or just a few specific folders
02:19and click the Save button. The tool has two data saving options. Either migrate data to Office 365 or
02:26convert and save it to your local system in different file format. Now, select the migration option and
02:33click OK to continue. Enter the tenant ID, client ID, and client secret of the target Office 365 account.
02:41If you don't have these, you can follow the help guide given in the right section.
02:46After inputting the credentials, click Connect to get the list of all mailboxes present in the Office 365
02:52account. Click Next to continue the migration. Now, the tool asks you to map the source and destination.
02:59Choose the mailbox from the drop-down, select the user mailbox in which you want to move your Zimbra
03:04emails, and click Next. The tool provides a date filter to migrate data of a specific day, week,
03:11month, or even year. Just select the start date and end date and click on Add Date button.
03:18In addition to the date filter, you can also choose to perform a type-specific data migration by choosing
03:23a category from Email, Tasks, Calendar, Contacts, and Briefcase. Click Next after applying the filters.
03:31The Zimbra to Office 365 migration will begin. The tool displays real-time data of which folder is
03:38currently migrating along with the item count. When the migration is completed, you will get a migration
03:43summary showing the source, destination, and status as completed. Click OK to close the window.
