00:00Hello, my name is Amelia Vanderbeek, and as you all know, probably know, my dad has passed
00:09away, but I'm just going to tell you a little tips or anything that helps you getting through
00:23anybody you love is passing. So today is my dad's birthday, and the number one thing for somebody's
00:36passing is to talk to them and let your emotions out. If you miss them, you can cry, you can
00:46talk
00:47to them. I talk to my dad every day, and I start with a sentence, and I say, hi, dad,
00:57I miss you,
00:58and I love you so much, and I'll never stop loving you, and I just tell him about my day,
01:05how I'm feeling, and I tell my family how I'm feeling, and I know he can hear me, but I
01:15can't
01:15hear him. My mom can, and you just, you have to feel them in your heart, because they're in your
01:23heart. They're watching over you. They're a part of your body, and in a good place. I know that my
01:33dad's
01:33in a good place. He's not in pain anymore. He's in heaven, above the clouds with God, and the Lord,
01:50and just cry. Cry, cry, cry, cry. Be happy they're in a good place. Be sad, because you miss them.
02:02You can be angry, but don't blame yourself. Blaming yourself, it's not a good strategy for someone's
02:12passing. And if somebody also lost their dog, or like somebody they love, and you did too,
02:26and they try to tell you, I know how you feel. I felt worse. They don't know how you feel.
02:33Everybody has different emotions in their body, and they express it in different ways, many,
02:39many, many different ways. And don't, just don't let anybody tell you that. Be like, no, you don't know
02:50how I feel. And this is hard. It's gonna be hard. And even if you hear that they're passing,
03:02it's okay. If they do, it's a miracle. Still, everything is meant to happen for a reason.
03:13Something my dad told me was, if this doesn't work out the way he wanted it to, and the way
03:19we wanted
03:20it to, for him living, I still have to believe in miracles. Miracles can still happen, just later
03:32on in life. And they'll keep coming. But maybe when you want them to come, they might not.
03:43But if they do pass, if they do go, just remember, they have some work to do on the other
03:53side.
03:54And also, something that I have done with my dad's passing is, I stole his hat. Steal anything of theirs,
04:06just keep it. My dad's hat smells like him. And I love it so much. And I praise my dad.
04:17I know that
04:18he was a good man. A lot of people loved him. And people prayed for him. And he was loved
04:31by many,
04:31many parts. And many, many people. Also, if you donated to the Kimberly Vanderbeek fundraiser,
04:42thank you so much. I checked it. Holy moly. Thank you so much. I am blown away.
