00:08I mean, it's been a huge sport in America and Canada for decades, but to think less
00:15than five years ago there was less than a dozen of us, and now we've got over 200 members.
00:23We love pickleball because it's lots of fun, we laugh all the time, and it keeps us active.
00:29We don't realise how much exercise we're actually doing.
00:31And we get to meet so many nice people, we've all got the same interests, keep fit, enjoy

00:40We've met lots of good friends here since we retired, all through Pick4.

00:46Definitely good exercise, yeah.
00:48You're moving quickly and it improves your reflexes.
00:52It's actually a bit for your mind as well, people think all the time, yeah.
00:55It gets you moved, and sweating, the friendship, the excitement of it, and also the social part

01:07It's a game you can play at any level.
01:09You can play as a beginner, or you can play as an advanced player, and you can play competitions
01:15or you can just play socially.
01:16So, it covers everybody and anybody, as long as they can hit a ball, and it's great.
01:24We can go up to Halliday's Point, Taree, and just turn up and start playing with them all.
01:29And they just, everyone's real social, and they all invite us for a drink or coffee after,
01:34and you get to know them.
01:35And so, when you're away, you can just turn up and meet new people everywhere.
01:39My mum, Val, plays, and she's 84, and she's played in the Australian Pickleball Championships
01:46and down in Blacktown, and she's actually a very good player.
