00:14I saw a few bones in the pay pile.
00:18Is that a mammoth tusk?
00:21Rib bone, I think.
00:24Right? Rib bone?
00:29I don't know.
00:36Yeah, so things are going really well so far.
00:39You know, we're, like, coming out of the gate, moving.
00:43And we're over 2,000 ounces,
00:45but I'm waiting for something to go massively wrong
00:47because things don't go this smoothly for very long.
00:51Six weeks into the season,
00:5330-year-old Parker Schnabel's plan to mine more than $35 million in gold
01:00is right on schedule.
01:03Tyson is being an animal this year.
01:05He's done over 1,500 ounces already here on Dominion.
01:08And then Mitch is doing a really good job over at Sulphur.
01:11Sulphur had over a 350-ounce cleanup last week, so that's crazy.
01:18Parker's plan includes squeezing every ounce he can out of his Sulphur Creek claim,
01:24where foreman Mitch Blaschke has been hunting for gold-rich pockets the old-timers missed.
01:31You know, it's been full throttle since the beginning of the season here in Sulphur,
01:35trying to get all the work done before the water license expires.
01:37Just want to make sure that we get what's ours and don't leave anything behind.
01:43Mitch is down to just three weeks to get it all done.
01:47Making the job harder, his top dirt mover, Brennan Rule,
01:52was recently sent to open ground at their next claim.
01:56Right now we're threading a bunch of needles with Brennan trying to have the Indian River ready,
02:00Mitch trying to have Sulphur done before the water license expires.
02:03We need to get the whole project done, reclaimed, and be out.
02:16How's it going?
02:17Good. How are you?
02:19Doing well. Yeah. Nice to be getting to the close of this one.
02:22We can start the next project.
02:24Yeah.
02:25Holy, that's a hole. Wow.
02:29Very muddy hole.
02:39Nobody's done any panning in here, I'm guessing, not on this upper section.
02:42We were trying to get it out as fast as we could, get her to the plant, and...
02:46Right.
02:46Well, I'll pan some of this just out of curiosity.
02:53All right, well, let's see what we've got.
03:16Holy smokes.
03:20That's a hell of a pan.
03:22Must be a hundred pieces of gold in there.
03:24Wow.
03:25Yeah.
03:26That's pretty wild.
03:28What do you think?
03:30It's worth staying here a little longer and getting that last little bit of pay.
03:34There's gold there, and that's what we're here for.
03:36But we got a lot of sluicing to do already this year, so...
03:39There's a lot of sluicing to do.
03:40It always turns into a lot bigger project than we think, doesn't it?
03:44I want to stand up there and look at it.
03:54How far does that go?
03:56Straight to this tree right here.
03:58That's probably where I would go to.
04:04You know, it's going to be tight.
04:05Could just have, like, Brennan come over here.
04:07That's the best chance that you've got at getting the pay down here in time and getting it ran.
04:11That'd be sweet.
04:12All right, I'll keep you updated.
04:15Over the last six weeks, Mitch has dug out all the pay pockets of the two-acre cut
04:20and is sluicing the last of its stockpiled pay.
04:24But Parker believes the old-timer's dredge missed even more gold
04:30and thinks the pay streak extends up to the road.
04:34He wants Mitch to expand the cut by another two acres
04:38and sluice all of its pay before the water license runs out.
04:46If Parker's move pays off, he could bank another 500 ounces, worth $1.75 million.
04:55Just when we thought sulfur here was coming to a close in typical Parker fashion,
05:00now he's saying, you know, hey, I want even more dirt out of there.
05:03We're pushing this project all the way to its absolute limit,
05:07so I'm just hoping we can get everything done here in sluice,
05:09but let's just mess with our timeline.
05:18Brother!
05:19Brother!
05:19All right, the cavalry's here.
05:22We can certainly use the help.
05:23Woo!
05:26We're here, happy to help, man.
05:30To give Mitch a fighting chance, Parker has sent in the big guns.
05:35So we've got five trucks, two excavators, and the loader feeding the plant.
05:41We're on a hot streak right now.
05:43Let's stay with it, finish it off,
05:45and get every speck of gold we can get out of here.
05:49You know, everything up here is risk over reward,
05:52and right now the risk is we got ourselves a lot of dirt to move here,
05:56not much time.
05:57But, Parker thinks it's worth the reward.
06:11First gold weight of the year, you're always hoping for a good one, right?
06:16It can set, you know, kind of set the pace for the rest of the year.
06:19We had the opposite of that.
06:21A hundred miles away, Rick Ness is still trying to recover from a major setback.
06:27After failing to obtain the water license needed to mine his gold-rich Duncan Creek claim.
06:35The diamond cut on his new claim at Lightning Creek delivered just seven ounces.
06:41We're always in a race against time, but, you know, we start having gold waves like that,
06:45it just becomes even more and more serious, you know.
06:47There's no way we can make money off of that,
06:49but that doesn't mean that we can just, you know, call it quits here.
06:51Rick now finds himself in deep water.
06:54He's had to shut down wash plant Rocky, but has just one week to pay landowner Troy Taylor
07:01100 ounces to complete his purchase of Lightning Creek.
07:07We got to move on.
07:08We got to strip some new ground.
07:09We've already started that.
07:10We've moved up the valley.
07:10We just got to pivot and pivot quick.
07:14We're late to the game this season, so we had to come into this location.
07:19It's definitely not as good ground as Vegas Valley.
07:22Hopefully we can get gold out of here to at least pay the bills.
07:27Everyone's getting pretty beat down.
07:29When you see low numbers and no gold coming in, it doesn't feel too good.
07:36It's definitely getting a little stressful being a little behind the gun here.
07:39So we're going to shift over here and change the odds.
07:43Hopefully start running some pay dirt soon.
07:46This is definitely the beginning of working our way up the valley for sure.
07:51You know, we need as much uncovered as we can, but pretty much it's just going to be trial and
07:55error.
07:56We want to make sure that, you know, this is going to be good pay and not garbage.
08:01Rick's going to come down to figure out what he wants me to do moving forward.
08:09Look at this.
08:13What you thinking, Bailey?
08:14It's like the bedrock's right there, and then it goes to sand.
08:18Obviously you don't want sand, but...
08:22Interesting.
08:24There's no telling what this bedrock might do.
08:26You're probably just going to have to follow it.
08:28Yes.
08:29Some of that along the banks looks like pay.
08:32Okay.
08:32But there's a spot right there where the bigger rocks...
08:35Look at that big rock right there.
08:38That's what we want to see.
08:40Nice.
08:42Do you want that top, gravelly stuff?
08:44I think so.
08:47Yeah, I would say that's the stuff we run.
08:49Bigger rocks should mean bigger deposits of gold.
08:54Over 150,000 years ago, a giant glacier eroded and picked up gold from the Mount Hinton motherlode.
09:02A massive ice sheet bulldozed down the valley, tearing up the landscape.
09:08When the ice melted, the gold settled in scattered pockets with the heavy rocks and boulders.
09:17I like it.
09:18Get the plant running and start hauling that to the plant, that'd be great.
09:20Yeah.
09:21You call this the boulder cut?
09:22Cool.
09:23Hopefully it's got gold in it.
09:24Okay.
09:25Thanks, man.
09:26Yep.
09:29Bailey's getting on it right here.
09:30You know, they're doing a good job of getting this stripped off, and there's a lot more bigger boulders and
09:33stuff in that ground.
09:34It just looks more promising, so I've got a good feeling about that.
09:40We're all pretty excited to run this stuff.
09:42We'll get this fired up, and we'll start pounding dirt through it.
09:55Well, right now we're hauling pay to the plant.
09:58This pay layer definitely looks, you know, a lot better than the diamond cut.
10:03You know, there is big rocks in here, and I'm hoping it's going to be really good.
10:21Something's going on with the bucket.
10:22I'm just not feeling proper.
10:24It doesn't have any strength trying to curl right now.
10:29Hey, Ryan.
10:30You got a copy, man?
10:31Go ahead, Bailey.
10:31Yeah, something's wrong with the 750 for sure.
10:33Okay.
10:34All right, man.
10:34Give me just a minute, and I'll be over.
10:36Hopefully, Ryan can get down here and figure out what's going on, because this is our main machine.
10:41That's the only thing that we got down here that glow rock trucks quick enough, so right now we're on
10:45a standstill.
11:01We got issued with the 750 right now.
11:04I probably got a couple more hours worth of pay here.
11:07If there's no pay at this plant, there's no gold in the box, so it's pretty crucial to have that
11:12thing back up and running.
11:13At Lightning Creek, the Nest Cruz 750 excavator has gone down, preventing them from digging pay dirt from the new
11:22boulder cut.
11:25I'd zip that plate off. Let's make as much room as we can.
11:28I'll get in there and I'll crack it open.
11:34All right.
11:36Where is she at?
11:40All righty.
11:42Okay.
11:44We've got a pilot hose over here that comes from the back main pump and goes all the way up
11:48just underneath the cab that's chafing pretty bad.
11:51The 750 excavator's bucket moves forward when hydraulic fluid is pumped through a hose into a cylinder with a piston
12:00at 5,000 pounds per square inch.
12:03The bucket is then forced to retract when the cylinder is injected with hydraulic fluid by a second hose.
12:12Ryan has discovered this hose has a leak in the body of the excavator near the pump.
12:23He plans to disconnect the hose and remove it, then replace it with a new one, restoring the hydraulic system's
12:32full pressure, allowing the bucket to once again haul six yards of boulder pay dirt with each scoop.
12:48Right here?
12:49Yeah, go ahead.
12:50Oh yeah, you're good.
12:54Look at this.
12:55Yeah, right there.
12:57So, this will get us going, get us back in the pay and keep things rolling.
13:04All right, I got it all zip tied up.
13:06Gonna get our bottom plates on, get our top plate mounted back and Bailey will be back at it.
13:11Oh baby.
13:18All right, bottom side's good.
13:20There you go. Perfect.
13:24Hey Bailey, 750's fixed.
13:26Thanks Ryan.
13:32I got the 750 up and running again, which is awesome.
13:35We got three trucks.
13:36We got to hurry up here and get that pay to the plant.
13:43I really need this to work out.
13:45We all need this to work out.
13:46This is our spot for the summer and we need to start getting some gold out of it.
13:50I'm not going to sleep well until I get a whole run out of this ground.
13:53If it doesn't start showing us gold, well, what good is it?
13:59You know, I'm not full panic mode, but I am definitely got my hand over the panic button.
14:21So far the season went pretty good.
14:25So happy happy as they say.
14:27A month and a half into his season, King of the Klondike, Tony Beetz, is cashing in on his early
14:35bird cut.
14:36Right now, we've got loose a lot going. If it runs, don't with it. Get it going.
14:42He's already banked over 1,800 ounces of his 6,500 ounce target and is now opening the corner cut.
14:55The corner cut is so big that it's going to take us a while to get down the pay.
15:02But we should have plenty of time to get it all set up and do some serious losing.
15:07The minute we'll figure it out, voila.
15:11It might, when he has his crommel going, well, then we'll just see what we can pull off.
15:2040 miles away on Paradise Hill.
15:24Pretty busy right now, here at Mike's shipping department.
15:28Turn my way a bit.
15:30I'm told we got the next one.
15:32I'm told to get this organized, I'm told to get this ready, I'm told to get this going.
15:36This is all Indian River . I'm just a delivery boy.
15:40Trouble is not going to happen anytime soon at this rate.
15:43If he wants to see gold, my dad is going to have to leave me alone and let me do
15:47it.
15:49At the start of the season.
15:51You gave Kevin a bunch of help getting him going.
15:53So is there anything you're going to help us with?
15:56Tony's youngest son, Mike, made a case for his own claim.
16:01There is some opportunities out there.
16:03Let's get these two places here going first and then we'll talk.
16:06Tony tasked Mike with getting their Paradise Hill operation running.
16:12But two weeks ago.
16:13I don't know what the **** is going on.
16:15Tony stole half of his equipment and crew.
16:18If he don't like it, I guess that sucks to be him.
16:22You try to take all my people and then all my **** and then expect me to still run the
16:26hill.
16:28Now, Mike's Paradise Hill trommel still sits idle.
16:33And he has no gold coming in.
16:37Hey, what's going on?
16:42Not a problem.
16:45Right now I'm at equipment. I can do one project at a time.
16:47I can sluice, I can strip.
16:48I do not have enough to do both.
16:51Which means I ain't going to be able to run the **** trauma here.
16:54You will not.
16:59You know Tony's train of thought, right?
17:03The Indian is the only thing that's producing right now.
17:06So that's what he wants to focus on.
17:09Sigh.
17:10It's a little bit worrisome that he takes your equipment.
17:13Why can't I start taking **** back?
17:15That would go over really well.
17:17You and I both know that.
17:18So that's not going to happen.
17:21So what are you going to do now?
17:22Do you have a plan B?
17:24We have Harold.
17:25A nice plant sitting down in Hester.
17:28It's basically stupid proof.
17:29Just got to fuse some pipe.
17:31Hook it up to the pump, test the pump.
17:34And then I just got to get an excavator and a loader down there and I could be sluicing.
17:37That's great.
17:39How would you feel to just have your own claim?
17:43Just your stuff?
17:44No interference with your father?
17:46Like Kevin?
17:47I would like it, it would be fun.
17:49You think that's going to happen?
17:51**** no.
17:52He's too busy out there.
17:54Want to have a little wager?
17:5710 bucks I say it will.
18:00We can also say 20 bucks.
18:02You're scared?
18:0520 bucks.
18:09With that being said, I do think you have to go back to work.
18:13I'll see you later.
18:17Mike got a little bit of a rough end of the deal here because he doesn't have all the people
18:22and all the equipment.
18:23But it's just the way Tony is.
18:26He focuses on what's right in front of him, not what's 60 miles down the road.
18:33Mike plans to use what little equipment Tony left behind to make a quick score by sluicing a pile of
18:41old timer tailings that he believes are rich in gold.
18:46But first, he has to connect the water supply to wash plant Harold.
18:52So I'm going to be testing out our new fusing machine here without no water. You ain't sluicing at all.
18:59If Mike can fit through, the pipe will fit.
19:04Spread your wings and fly Mike.
19:12It works.
19:16Right now we lift up the pipe so I can line it up.
19:21My way.
19:22Stop!
19:23I just lined them up. I'm tightening them up now.
19:26I'm waiting for the heating pad to warm up.
19:29Put it in there?
19:30Yep.
19:31That melts the pipe so that when I push it again, it fuses.
19:36Get ready.
19:38There we go.
19:43It's working.
19:51I heard thunder.
19:53Pull the tongue, bring it over here.
19:57Now it's raining pretty good.
19:59Hold it up.
19:59Try to cover it so it doesn't get pissed on rain.
20:02If rain gets into the melted junction, air bubbles will form and the fuse will burst under high water pressure.
20:16If we don't get this fuse together, I ain't getting no water to herald.
20:27Yeah, it's gonna be good.
20:29The rain seems to be stopping.
20:30You guys can take it off.
20:33Before Mike can test if the fuses will hold, he needs to connect the pipe to the pump across the
20:39creek.
20:42Lift it up in the air.
20:48Yeah, it's looking good.
20:51Excellent.
20:52That's good, Zach.
20:54Pull it in.
20:58Cut!
21:01Next step is to put the suction in.
21:03Chain this up.
21:04Try not to get hit in the face with a bucket because it's not on my bucket list to do.
21:21The pipes are all hooked up, fused together.
21:23All I have to do is test fire the pump, make sure everything's working good.
21:44Enough water, that's good.
21:47That's lovely.
21:48I love it.
21:49I'm firing up.
21:57Everything's working.
22:01First scoop into herald.
22:02Here we go.
22:08For the first time this season, Mike is on the gold.
22:15Nice to finally get this thing going.
22:17Got it there.
22:42Man, it was brutal.
22:43There's no way we would have made this happen without the trucks and the extra help up here.
22:48But we are finally down to pay, and we're going to load that in the trucks and haul it down
22:53to Roxanne.
22:54At Sulphur Creek, Mitch Blaschke has hit pay in the first section of the new two-acre extension.
23:02Now, his crew is in a race to sluice it all before the water license runs out in less than
23:09three weeks.
23:11Holy .
23:14Loader operator Sean Holcroft is feeding the new pay through wash plant Roxanne.
23:22Parker, he's got some deadlines going, so we really got to bust our balls here and get moving.
23:27I got this old 220 loader.
23:29This thing's a little ancient.
23:30Still able to wash rocks with the plant, but she's a bit of a rough ride.
23:34I have my second year down here now.
23:36A big step up for me.
23:38A little bit more responsibilities.
23:39They're letting me do a lot more.
23:41It's pretty awesome to have this opportunity.
23:43I really love it.
23:50I don't know what the going on with this thing.
23:54Looks like we got the brakes are locking up.
23:59Let's take half load.
24:02Oh my .
24:04It's painful, man.
24:08Getting a low hydraulic oil port in here.
24:15Hey, Mitch.
24:16It's 220 here.
24:19It's up real bad.
24:20I just ain't got no power.
24:22Barely making it up this ramp.
24:23There's no way I'm going to be able to keep up with this, even at 100 yards an hour.
24:27This is not what we need right now.
24:35Unfortunately, with 220 being down right now, we're going to shut Roxanne down.
24:39Shutting down Roxanne could mean losing over $8,000 an hour.
24:46Parker has all these ambitions and things he wants us to do this season.
24:50But we got one old loader out here.
24:52And right now, we're not sleucing.
24:55To fix the loader, Mitch calls in mechanic Taylor Metica.
25:02I've got an alarm for low hydraulic oil.
25:04You can see there's nothing on the sight glass.
25:08With the machine running, the transmission oil was way high.
25:13It should be at the bottom of the sight glass here.
25:15We're way over full.
25:17So what caused this is the parking brake.
25:20And it's got a piston inside with seals that release the parking brake.
25:24These seals have failed and the parking brake is dragging
25:26and it's filling the transmission with hydraulic oil.
25:33I'm just going to pull the drain plug on the transmission here.
25:36And we'll let her buck.
25:39There it goes.
25:42Hopefully, it's just the seals.
25:43But if a piece of **** got between the piston and the housing,
25:47we might have a **** piston.
25:49And that's going to be a huge problem.
25:53The 220 loader's parking brake is spring loaded and controlled by hydraulic pressure.
26:00To access the brake, Taylor will first cage it by using three bolts that compress the springs,
26:07releasing the brake and securing the piston to the brake cover.
26:11Taylor will then remove the 16 bolts that hold the cover in place and lift off the caged parking brake
26:18piston.
26:19Taylor can then remove and replace the damaged seals before reinstalling the brake,
26:25uncaging the springs, and refilling the hydraulic oil,
26:29allowing the parking brake to function properly.
26:33We're just fuzzing the parking brake out here.
26:36We've got it caged with these three bolts.
26:42There we go.
26:43We'll take it out, put it on the back of my truck.
26:45Hopefully, this thing's not **** because we can't afford a downloader.
26:50You can see here, there's no real damage to the piston,
26:53but the parking brake seal is completely ****.
26:56We need to replace it.
26:58Sean was right to give me a shout right away.
27:00We'll swap the seals out and put this thing back together.
27:04Let's get started.
27:07We'll peel these seals off.
27:11We're at the assembly stage now, just putting these seals in.
27:14Hey Taylor, you got a copy, Taylor?
27:17Yeah, go ahead.
27:18How's it going over there, man?
27:20We're putting new seals in the parking brake right now.
27:22Thank God it was just the seals and we had them in stock.
27:24Give us about an hour and a half, two hours and this thing will be up and running.
27:27All right, man.
27:28We'll be ready for it.
27:30Mitch is chomping at the bit to get this thing up and running.
27:32And it's just, you know, race against time to get this thing back together.
27:37It's all good.
27:49Fill it with transmission oil and we can be back to making money.
27:56Transmission's full.
27:57Parking brakes reassembled, resealed.
28:00Everything's hooked up.
28:03Lay down.
28:04Good boy.
28:05All right.
28:15We're going to take it down to Sean so they can go fire up Roxanne.
28:24Oh yeah, buddy.
28:26Thanks, man.
28:27Five hours after shutting down and $40,000 of gold production lost,
28:33Roxanne is back in the game.
28:36Washing rocks.
28:38Roxanne's shaking.
28:39Getting that gold.
28:42We got Roxanne on a good clip here.
28:45It's loosening along very nicely.
28:46We're pushing this project here at Sulphur all the way to its absolute limit.
28:51We're getting through it, but we're not out of the woods yet.
29:21We understand we're not mining Vegas Valley.
29:24It's, it's different.
29:24It's up for us to prove that there is something here.
29:27It's going to be nonstop.
29:29It's not going to be a, it's not going to be an easy season.
29:32I think this will be our toughest season with Rick.
29:35Rick's crew is sluicing pay dirt from the new boulder cut, which they hope will finally deliver some gold.
29:43We're going to probably work our way up this valley probably all season.
29:47Hopefully, you know, the farther we go or the more that we run, the better it looks.
29:54Guys, I need you all to come meet me at the laydown yard.
29:58I want all of you there.
30:22What's going on?
30:25I got some news.
30:52We got a water license on Lower Duncan.
30:55Oh, really?
30:56Yes.
30:57Yeah.
30:58Yeah.
30:59That's actually really good news.
31:00Got something for you guys.
31:01Got something for you guys.
31:07Hi.
31:07Are you in jail?
31:08Wow.
31:09Yeah.
31:12Yeah.
31:17We got the news today from the attorney.
31:19They granted an extension until November, 2025.
31:22We can go break ground Vegas Valley, start draining it.
31:24We can get gold from Vegas Valley this year.
31:26Was that a verified email?
31:27The verified email.
31:28Yes.
31:29Yes.
31:30Yeah.
31:30We 100% have a water license, a land use permit and everything at Lower Duncan.
31:36In just four years, Rick's claim on Lower Duncan paid out nearly 6,000 ounces.
31:43But after losing the water license, he had to abandon it, including a pay pile that could
31:49contain more than $1.4 million in gold.
31:53We already got a pile up there ready to run.
31:56And, you know, we can actually run that now.
31:59So what does that mean for this deal?
32:02Well, that's a good point because we can't just walk away from this.
32:05I promised Troy another 100 ounces to buy Lightning Creek.
32:09I'm not just going to pull a 100 ounce out of here and give it to Troy and walk the
32:11away.
32:12Yeah.
32:12You know, we've got to pull some serious gold out of here.
32:15But this is really good news.
32:16I don't even think you've seen the best out of Vegas Valley yet.
32:19No.
32:19And I'm hoping we haven't seen the best out of this.
32:21Yeah.
32:21You know, I think our future is really bright.
32:24I've got a lot to figure out, but we've got a water license and we are going back to Vegas
32:27Valley.
32:28This is cause for celebration.
32:29Yeah.
32:30Yeah, guys.
32:32All right.
32:37You know, in my head right now I'm very happy.
32:39There's a lot going on right now.
32:41It's like one extreme to the other.
32:42Right?
32:42We had no water license.
32:43Now we've got a water license in two spots.
32:45You know, I want to just run to Vegas Valley.
32:47I know the gold's there, but I've got obligations on Lightning Creek.
32:49You know, I owe Troy a hundred ounces.
32:51You know, that's a quarter million dollars.
32:52So, there's a lot to figure out, but at the end of the day, this is good news.
33:13That's nice to be finally solutioned.
33:15It's been a long time coming.
33:16At Paradise Hill, despite a lack of equipment, Mike is determined to prove to his dad that
33:24he can bring in the gold.
33:27Just careful not to overload it.
33:30It's nice to get this going.
33:32It's exactly what I wanted.
33:33Closer and closer every time.
33:36Oh, .
33:38We got a gasket blown out on this pump.
33:41Shut it down.
33:43.
33:45Close the bypass.
33:55Ah, .
33:57This is going to be a pain in the ass.
33:59You know, but that's got to get fixed before we can keep going.
34:04I'm going to lift this up.
34:05Take these off so I can get this little orange piece here.
34:07And I can check the rubber.
34:13If you hop in the excavator, I'll wrap it around and we'll just lift it.
34:26Yeah, because these are coming off like butter.
34:32My gasket's ripped completely.
34:35Yeah, she ripped right apart.
34:37My only two rubbers I got, too small or a weave in too big.
34:45You can make that work, though.
34:47You know what I mean?
34:48Cut holes.
34:50We're going to have to around with this .
34:56What we're going to do is mark out all the holes, and then we'll just push the bolt
34:59holes through.
35:07Then I'm going to cut, and yeah, the bolt will fit through it.
35:14Yeah, there should be 12.
35:18It's a little scabby, but it'll work.
35:20For the bush fix gasket to work, it must form a tight seal between the two metal flanges.
35:27A little bit more of my weight.
35:29There we go.
35:30If we do this and it works, it should last until forever.
35:39Hey, that's my butt.
35:43Let her down.
35:50That's tight.
35:52It should all work.
36:14Hey, I'm Colby.
36:15Hop in the water.
36:16Let's get going.
36:18Finally getting this done.
36:20But I'll be happy to get any gold.
36:22So I'm going to grab every ounce of gold I can out of that dirt.
36:26Between me and Colby, we should be able to get this thing going.
36:28And this will be running for the rest of the season.
36:42Mike Beetz may be dreaming of his own Klondike kingdom, but there is already a crown he wears proudly.
36:51According to everyone, I'm the king of around, so there should be nothing new.
36:57Go chase the beaver.
36:59Yes, yes, yes.
37:01You make me good.
37:05I leave you guys alone for what, two minutes and then you're around again?
37:09Let's go.
37:11Nah, just around.
37:29Let's go.
37:31Whoa.
37:32Oh, yeah.
37:33Nice glasses.
37:34Thanks, man.
37:36How are you?
37:37No fire?
37:37No.
37:38It's too hot for that.
37:39It's hot.
37:40Summer finally got here.
37:41Yeah, it came fast.
37:43It was a smart move to pivot from a diamond cut.
37:45There's no way we can make a limit off it.
37:47And, you know, I like the spot that we moved to.
37:50It's definitely looking better in every way.
37:53There's boulders there.
37:54Yeah.
37:54It is nicer material compared to that stuff that we just dug out at the start of the diamond cut.
37:59So we're on the right track.
38:00Yeah.
38:01Well, I guess maybe we should weigh up the gold.
38:04Rick's previous spot, the diamond cut, produced just 7.35 ounces.
38:11Now, he's hoping the new boulder cut will deliver at least 30 ounces for its run time.
38:18There, count it out.
38:221, 2, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 18, 20, 22, 22.35.
38:38Worth $78,000.
38:42Definitely an improvement.
38:44We gotta look at it that way.
38:46Three times better.
38:47Yeah.
38:49I mean, obviously, that water license coming in is huge.
38:52But a lot of decisions come with that, you know.
38:54There's a lot of pieces that have to fall into place.
38:58What's going through your head?
38:59Tough it out here?
39:00I mean, we're gonna have to go back to Vegas Valley.
39:03I mean, I want to.
39:06And maybe at the end of the day, this is just not the happening spot right here.
39:11We can't abandon this place.
39:13I did buy it.
39:14But the one thing that I can say is that we can't afford to just shut this down while we're,
39:18you know.
39:19We gotta take advantage of all the sluicing hours we can get.
39:21How many gold ways do we say there can be improvement before we finally say we need to get our
39:25asses back to Vegas Valley?
39:27At the end of the day, I owe Troy, you know, 100 ounces on this ground.
39:31So we can't just walk away from it right now.
39:33It's the only spot we're getting gold from.
39:34Does he care where the 100 ounces comes from?
39:36Because I'm telling you now, you're gonna get 100 ounces a lot quicker.
39:39You do the math, it doesn't make sense to hit 1,800 ounces by the end of the season.
39:42You know, it's gonna take a while to get Vegas Valley ready.
39:45So the minute we're able to sluice down there, we will go there.
39:47That's a promise.
39:48I think we should go there now.
39:50Well, that's too bad.
39:52I think there's gold here.
39:55I hope you're right.
39:57Definitely the pressure's gonna be on, man.
40:03Thanks, guys.
40:04I appreciate it.
40:05Yeah, this gold way was better than last week, but it's not as good as what lower Duncan could be.
40:10There could be 400 ounces in that pay pile.
40:12So, you know, for us to try to reach 1,800 ounces, we need to be down there right away.
40:17Well, the gold total for the week, 22.3 ounces.
40:20Yeah, it's three times as good.
40:21But the exciting thing is we got the water license extension back on Duncan Creek,
40:24so we go back to Vegas Valley, which is huge news.
40:26Now, everybody's just arguing on when.
40:29They want to go there immediately, but the timing's just not right.
40:31You know, it's gonna take a few days to get that ready,
40:32and I'm not willing to stop getting gold from Lightning Creek until it is ready.
40:36So we're gonna stick it out here, and we'll be back in Vegas Valley soon.
40:49Hello.
40:50Hey, guys.
40:51Hey, guys.
40:51How are you?
40:52Here.
40:52How are you?
40:53Good.
40:54Yes.
40:54Good, good, good.
40:57Have a seat.
41:00I've been here pretty much all week.
41:02Sluicing away in the early bird cut there.
41:04Doing very well, actually, I think.
41:06Busy stripping, corner cut, so been going actually quite well.
41:10How about you guys?
41:12Yeah, I set up Harold.
41:15Yeah.
41:15We, uh...
41:16Did some old-time entailings, didn't we?
41:18Might as well sluice it, sitting there.
41:19Oh, really?
41:21Perfect.
41:21Anything you get is bonus.
41:23I mean, if the prize is off the day, rather than throwing it away,
41:26that don't make no sense.
41:27Did it show anything?
41:29Well, there's a little bit.
41:31I'd better count it quick, I guess, huh?
41:33I'll pour slow.
41:35There we go.
41:36One, two, three, four...
41:39And a five, and a six, and a seven, eight, nine, ten,
41:44eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fourteen point two eight.
41:50Worth nearly $50,000.
41:54That all adds up, that all adds up.
41:57I'm proud of you.
41:58That is a good little venture.
42:01So you want to see what comes from the Indian?
42:03Okay, what do we got?
42:04So far, the early bird cut is averaging 270 ounces a week.
42:10Michael, ready to count?
42:1510, 30, 40, 50, 100, 110, 120, 170, 190,
42:25200, 210, 250, 260, 270, 280, 290, 310, 320, 330, 340, 350, 390.
42:35Making the four?
42:37No.
42:37No?
42:38It's 398.18.
42:41Worth almost $1.4 million.
42:45But I mean, you didn't make four.
42:46Oh, my .
42:48Bringing the beat's season total to over 2,300 ounces.
42:53So that's not bad?
42:54You said at the beginning of the season that there were maybe some opportunities for Mike,
42:59as soon as he started getting gold out of the hill.
43:01So what's happening with that?
43:04No.
43:05No, no, no, no.
43:06You got to get the thrommel growing.
43:07That's where the real gold is going to come from.
43:10That's all.
43:10Let's do it.
43:11Just go bring me some more.
43:15Okay.
43:16See you later, guys.
43:17Yep.
43:17Bye.
43:19I do hope Tony will honor what he said to Mike, because he's been working very hard to
43:24get this all sorted out.
43:25So he should get them set up.
43:28Honestly, Mike really deserves it.
43:31The frustrating part is I think I have a better chance of learning to breathe through my ass
43:35than I have them going out on my own.
43:37Whatever.
43:46What's up?
43:47Yo, yo.
43:49Well, how'd we do this week, Chris?
43:51Roxanne's just chugging away.
43:53Man, that was an unreal pan down there at Sulphur.
43:55That pan was probably one of the best ones we've ever seen.
43:58It's up there.
43:59Top ten.
44:01I hate saying anything.
44:02I don't want to jinx anything, you know?
44:04Yeah.
44:04I'm pretty good at that.
44:08How's your juggling act going?
44:10You know, it's keeping me busy, that's for sure.
44:13We're going to start out with you with Bob.
44:15How's that?
44:16Sure.
44:16Let's see how Bob did this week.
44:18Big Bob.
44:19At Dominion Creek, Tyson's been running wash plant Bob in the bridge cut, where it's averaging
44:26170 ounces a week.
44:29Here we go.
44:30We got 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 160, 180, 188.4.
44:45Nice.
44:45Nice.
44:46Not bad.
44:47That's a good weight.
44:48So, Bob's chugging along.
44:50Brendan, do you want to do a Sulphur here?
44:52Go for it.
44:53Alright.
44:54Sulphur, in the Golden Mile, is pacing 200 ounces a week.
44:5920, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 150, 180, 200.
45:10Holy .
45:12232.1.
45:15Wow.
45:17Holy .
45:18Yeah.
45:19Nice.
45:19That's pretty cool, isn't it?
45:21That's a good week for Dominion.
45:23420 ounces or something?
45:25That's a good number.
45:30And then there's Roxanne Mitchell.
45:32Whoo.
45:33She looks heavy.
45:34Let's see what we got here.
45:36Alright.
45:37Ready to rip.
45:39Ready?
45:39Yep.
45:40Now it's time to find out if Parker's move to extend the cut at Sulphur will pay out.
45:4650.
45:49100.
45:51150.
45:53200.
45:54Oh yeah.
45:55Keep going.
45:58250.
45:59A little bit more.
46:05300 right on the dot.
46:07Plus this.
46:09We have another one.
46:10Whoo.
46:10It looks like it's got a load in there.
46:13Ready?
46:13Alright.
46:14We're going to keep adding to her.
46:16There's another 40, 80, 100, 106.5.
46:32406.5 ounces.
46:34Okay.
46:35Yeah.
46:36Yeah.
46:37Mitch, go ahead and take everything up there.
46:40Whoo.
46:41With just one plant, Mitch has nearly matched Tyson's two plant run.
46:49Dude, that's a lot for one week.
46:51Yeah.
46:52So this week, our total is 827 ounces.
46:57Sick.
46:58Is that crazy or what?
47:01I was not expecting that.
47:04827 ounces at record prices is worth $2.89 million.
47:12The most cash Parker's ever banked in one week.
47:17That's Parker's happy face.
47:20There we go.
47:22800 ounces, dude.
47:23You got to be happy about that in a week.
47:26Yeah.
47:26Hell yeah.
47:27I just hope we can keep it up.
47:29There's still so much season left.
47:31Good way to start it, though.
47:32That's a good way to start it.
47:33Yeah.
47:34Thank you, guys.
47:34Cool.
47:35I'll bag this stuff up.
47:36We've all got to do.
47:40After several years of just moving from the Indian River and getting set up and a lot
47:44deeper ground on Dominion, it's taken a long time of stripping and prep.
47:49And finally this season, I don't want to jinx it, but it's looking really good.
47:56We're coming out of the gates running, so hopefully we can just keep that up, right?
48:00And then sulfur is just killing it.
