00:00On March 8, International Women's Day, feminism returned to the streets of Spain, with thousands
00:06of people participating in some 50 demonstrations across the country.
00:10In this context, this year's demonstrations were marked by the No to War movement in response
00:16to the joint U.S. Israeli attack against Iran, as well as by a feminist call to action in
00:22the face of an increasing number of cases of sexual harassment and violence, particularly
00:27in the political sphere.
00:28In both Madrid and at all the demonstrations, a common voice was raised against discrimination
00:34at home and at work, with a shared focus being to denounce the threat of imperialism and fascism
00:42to women's rights worldwide.
00:49That is what feminism is all about. Today, we have said that it is the most powerful collective
00:54weapon we have, focusing on care, focusing on human rights, and on the fact that all lives
00:59matter equally.
01:01Also on Sunday, tens of thousands of people have died.
