00:05It's round 19, it's lights out, and away we go.
00:07Bottas gets away well ahead of Verstappen, but Verstappen is coming back at him,
00:11and Lando Norris touches, and he's got a puncture on his rear left tyre,
00:15as he clashed with a Ferrari, Verstappen takes the lead.
00:17He's squeezed out Valtteri, Bottas going through turn two.
00:20Perez is in third, then comes the Ferrari of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc,
00:24as we head down the Retro Apostle now, and he's getting a decent slipstream.
00:28It's Charles Leclerc, but he's been forced over to the left-hand side,
00:31as Verstappen leads from Bottas, from Perez, Leclerc, and then Sainz,
00:34and the Tibera is going wide, and Bottas as well.
00:37Bottas wide, it's a Red Bull 1-2 there, so down into the tricky breakings,
00:43and it's downhill into turn four, and Valtteri Bottas defending hard,
00:47but somehow they all made it through there.
00:49Sadly for Lando Norris, he's got the entire lap to go with a puncture.
00:53Hamilton is up to seventh, we saw him through Ferradura,
00:56passing there, Pierre Gasly.
00:57Yeah, I could do nothing, no point left over there.

01:02Full throttle, full blast, all the way to turn one, and he is gaining,
01:06gaining, gaining in the slipstream of Carlos Sainz, pulls over to the inside,
01:10Sainz isn't going to fight that one, and Hamilton, if he is to win this race,
01:14in the space of two laps, has halved the arrears that he needs to.
01:19Yuki Tsunoda going down the inside, but there just wasn't the space,
01:22and that's a lot of body work coming off there.
01:25Yeah, he wasn't looking at all.
01:28So, invert the cars in turn one.
01:30That was Valtteri slowing down, and obeying those team orders.
01:33Yes, and he had to slow down a lot, didn't he?
01:36So, he's side by side there, little touch, gets a bit trigger happy with the throttle,
01:42and that's where the wing's gone.
01:45And he's just trying to break the slipstream now, moving around a lot,
01:49probably a bit too much, if the truth be known.
01:51And there's Hamilton, but trying to go down the outside, is he going to sweep through?
01:55Can he keep it on the road? He can, he's done it!
01:58Hamilton, who's been making a habit of going down the inside into turn one,
02:02this time, dances around the outside, and he has done it.
02:05He's cleared Sergio Perez, who's got now DRS, to try and fight his way back.
02:10They're going to go wheel to wheel into Cida de Largo,
02:12and Sergio Perez re-passes Lewis Hamilton, and reclaims that second place!
02:18Inside, outside, outside, inside.
02:20Which way is Lewis Hamilton going to go? To the left, to the right?
02:23It's going to be to the right, it's going to be around the outsides.
02:26And for the second lap, running the crowd, cheer as Lewis Hamilton passes Sergio Perez.
02:31This time around, he looks a bit further ahead, through the curva d'osol, to try and stay ahead.
02:37More debris coming off the Aston Martin of Lance stroll.
02:42Bottas is coming into the pits.
02:43Cheap stop for him, isn't it? Very cheap stop.
02:46How is this going to work out for him?
02:48Well, it's going to get him ahead of Sergio Perez, that is for sure.
02:52Here comes Hamilton, on Max Verstappen, down towards turn one.
02:55Verstappen moved and cut out any possibility of an overtake down the inside.
03:01Yeah, but Hamilton will get another helping of the DRS down this back straight.
03:06There it goes.
03:06And crucially, Martinier is closer than he was on the previous lap.
03:09And here goes Lewis Hamilton. He was last at the start of the sprint.
03:13He's trying to take the lead from Verstappen.
03:14But he is force-wired by Verstappen, and Verstappen himself has to go off the track.
03:19Did Verstappen drive Hamilton off the track?
03:22He didn't run into him, but Mercedes will think that.
03:25Michael, that is all about letting them race. That's all about letting them race.
03:31No investigation necessary. They're satisfied, in the stewards room, that Verstappen did nothing wrong.
03:38So Lewis, apparently no investigation necessary for running you off track.

03:45It's not working out for Mercedes at the moment. Do you stop Hamilton?

03:53Do Mercedes try anything different? But it is working out at this moment inside.
03:56Verstappen is weaving all over the road, and he's going to force Hamilton wide again.
04:00And Hamilton can't quite get past on the entry into Turn 4.
04:03Thought for one moment about the old switcheroo there.
04:06Forced Verstappen a little bit deeper. Cut through on the inside. Didn't happen for him.
04:11The battle resume as they go into Turn 1, and Hamilton's gaining, gaining, gaining on Max Verstappen here.
04:18Couldn't pull the move off on Verstappen that he did on Lando Norris in the sprint yesterday.
04:23Norris didn't really fight that one, to be fair.
04:24But he forced, he forced Max to go late into the corner, and he's got a better exit.
04:29Hamilton with a much better exit down to Turn 4.
04:32I said, is it third time lucky? Hamilton pulls ahead of Verstappen before they get to the corner.
04:37The crowd go absolutely wild. It is third time lucky for Lewis Hamilton.
04:41He was 20th and last on the grid for the sprint here on lap 59 of the Grand Prix.
04:47He has gone from last all the way to first. What a drive this has been from Lewis Hamilton this
04:54weekend.
04:56Gasly's got Esteban Ocon in his sights. The two Frenchmen go into Turn 1 together.
05:00They almost collide. And that, by the briefest of margins, was a lucky escape, I think, for both of them
05:06going into Turn 1.
05:07Gasly makes his way up into 8th place, but they've both got DRS here, and Ocon is going to fight
05:13this one back again.
05:14Esteban Ocon's never scored a point here before. He has to yield and concede to Pierre Gasly into Turn 4.
05:22Gasly absolutely flying towards him. Here comes the Gas Man, and Fernando Alonso manages to stay ahead.
05:29Now, where does he point that Alpine to try and defend into Decido de Largo?
05:34He's not got DRS, Fernando Alonso, to help his battle. Gasly has, giving him an extra speed advantage.
05:40Gasly's going to go all the way around the outside, and does so.
05:45Lewis Hamilton now has the chequer flag in sight for his 101st win.
05:51Hamilton, against the odds, has come home to win the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
05:56What a victory for Lewis Hamilton. He's not ready to loosen his grip on that championship trophy.
06:02Not just yet, and with three races to go, is it very much? Game on, back at the top.
06:09And we look to see what Sergio Perez is doing. He's going for that fastest lap.
06:13He was fourth, he remains fourth, but he goes fastest with a 1.11.0.
06:19We move on then to Qatar, in a week's time, after a hugely eventful weekend here at Interlagos.
06:26There's something about this place, it just makes history, it makes stories, it makes memories.
06:32And Hamilton's memories, that have started out looking rather grim, and the first couple of days will be full of

06:39He wins the Sao Paulo Grand Prix, closes the gap at the top as we head off to the next
