00:07¿Para que eres español o inglés?
00:10Inglaterra.
00:12Bueno, primero, ¿qué es la vibe en el campo?
00:17La vibe es que vamos a ganar, estamos listos, estamos listos, estamos listos, estamos listos, estamos listos, estamos listos, estamos
00:23listos.
00:24Obviously, you're about to take the mountain representing your country, do you go up to the mountain with the exact
00:29same approach or do you allow yourself this certain pride when you approach the mountain?
00:33Yeah, for sure, more pride because I'm going to represent my country, my island, and it's going to be a
00:38great experience for my first time, so it's going to be a great time.
00:43Two questions.
00:49Jandram, how are you preparing for your start tomorrow?
00:52My start, it's like normal as it's in my season, just getting ready, getting my body ready, my mindset to
00:59go all in.
01:00I know you are just a team, but 16 years ago, Netherlands beat DR twice.
01:07Did you have any memory for him or any story you have told, you have heard?
01:15I think we're going to beat them again, because I know we can, and the mindset, we're ready.
01:29What does it mean to you to be playing for Andre Jones?
01:32A lot, since he just got in the Hall of Fame, too.
01:36It's pretty cool.
01:36I play with his little kid, Drew, and it's pretty cool, you know, having a Hall of Fame as your
01:42manager.
01:44Pretty nice.
01:46J. Tom, what does it mean to play in this tournament with your brother?
01:50Not only play with your brother, but follow him.
01:52He's starting today, and you get to make the start tomorrow.
01:55What is all happening to you?
01:56It's really beautiful, you know, since we're a kid.
01:59Always a dream to play here, and I saw him play in 21-3 and 21.
02:04It's a great experience, and I want to, like, follow the steps, and it's pretty beautiful to see my brother
02:10play in WBC.
02:13Okay, great.
02:14Anything else for Jason?
02:16All right, thanks for coming in.
02:17Appreciate it.
02:18About tomorrow.
02:21Start with fun.
02:25Do you prefer English or French?
02:27English.
02:28Drew, what does it mean to be playing for your part, representing the contract of your part?
02:35It's awesome.
02:36It's an honor to be able to play for the kingdom and just come out here and be able to
02:40play my game at one of the highest stages.
02:42What are the expectations for you and the team for the tournament?
02:46We're going to go out there and we're going to win ballgames.
02:48No expectation, but, you know, we're going to do all the little things right and just do all we can
02:52to win.
03:01What did you think when you found out your dad was going to manage, and did you know right away
03:06you'd have a chance to be on this roster?
03:07Oh, yeah, for sure.
03:08As soon as he knew he was managing, he kind of let me know.
03:11He was like, hey, man, you know, if you're going to be able to play, we're going to have you
03:16on the roster.
03:17And, of course, I'm going to accept.
03:18And just had to wait on the team's approval, and they were all back at 100%.
03:22He's kind of coached you throughout your life, I assume, but what is it like, you know, playing for him
03:27now in an official capacity?
03:28Yeah, first time actually putting on the same uniform and him being like a manager or coach for me.
03:34But, yeah, of course, off the field, he's always been there for me.
03:37But, yeah, it's awesome.
03:38It's an experience, and it's an honor.
03:41More for Drew.
03:43Drew, you know, growing up in America, obviously you're around the culture a little bit growing up where you did.
03:50But being here with this experience, how have you been able to immerse further into that culture?
03:55Yeah, it's awesome.
03:57These guys are all all-stars at the end of the day, and we're all just out here playing baseball,
04:01and it's all we can do, you know.
04:02Just do all the little things right.
04:05Go back to the front row.
04:06We'll get you to the mic.
04:10Hi, Andrew.
04:12Has there been a moment in this time with Netherlands specifically that you maybe have learned something new about your
04:17culture
04:18or, like, some slang terms or just anything about the Curacao and more Netherlands culture that has stuck with you
04:25in the past week?
04:25No, I'm still trying to learn some stuff, you know.
04:28Not really too much into the culture, I guess, starting from the beginning of this tournament.
04:33But, yeah, trying to pick up on anything I can.
04:36And then lastly, I remember you went to Wesleyan, and you played against my high school, and you were just
04:43a high school stud.
04:44And now, just years later, you're literally representing your country.
04:48When you think about that trajectory, like, is there anything that is surprising to you, or was this with your
04:56mindset all along?
04:58Of course, you know, you want to play at the highest level every single day, and just to be able
05:02to be out here is an honor.
05:05All right, Drew, appreciate the time.
05:06Good luck today.
05:07Yeah, thank you.
05:08Thank you.
