00:00Pubs have been a constant in British society for so long,
00:04since the days when you couldn't trust the water.
00:06Beer has played a crucial role in the propagation of our species.

00:14I basically grew up in the pub.
00:17It was where all the community came together.
00:19We've got plenty of wine, ladies!
00:20The pub is a part of village life, it really is.
00:23They're essential for that camaraderie.
00:25We took over a pub for a couple of weeks,
00:27it just became our own personal little pub.
00:29We can't afford to buy beer, we need to brew it.
00:31A few pints of homebrew ain't going to put us back in the black.
00:33Pubs are shutting me all the time.
00:35We've got 14 days to find 10 grand,
00:37or they're going to start repossession proceedings.
00:40We still try and support them and keep them going,
00:42but it's a struggle, it's a real struggle for them.
00:45I can't ever remember having a bad time in a pub.
