00:00Around 1,000 Japanese troops will join this year's Balikatan exercises along the U.S., Filipino and other allied forces

00:08making it one of the largest iterations in program's history.
00:12The drill, supported by the Reciprocal Access Agreement between the Philippines and Japan,
00:17continued to enhance joint training, disaster response and multilateral maritime cooperation in the West Philippine Sea.
00:24AFP officials highlighted that these exercises, along with 35 previous bilateral and multilateral maritime activities,
00:33demonstrate collective deterrence and strengthen ties with like-minded partner nations.
