00:01A man has been charged with murder and attempted murder after a stabbing near a school in Birmingham.
00:07Police were called to Bridge Road in Alum Rock shortly after midday on Tuesday to reports of a stabbing.
00:13The suspect has been remanded in custody while inquiries continue and is due to appear in court.
00:2030-year-old Ali Alshmari was pronounced dead at the scene and a woman in her 50s suffered hand injuries.
00:26She now has been discharged from hospital.
