Wales head coach Steve Tandy has been previewing the Six Nations match against Ireland at the Aviva Stadium. Tandy's team is currently rock bottom of the table, with three losses from three matches. Player Eddie James says Wales will take a front foot approach against Ireland, despite being Six Nations underdogs. Wales are 16-1 with some bookmakers to upset Ireland in Dublin and end a run of 14 straight Six Nations defeats.

00:00I think we're at the point where we can go and be competitive and I think that's where it is
00:05and again if we are competitive and we bring large parts of what we did is against Scotland then I
00:09think we'd be in the game to get the result that we actually we all want but I think we
00:15can't get focusing just because we've had one good performance or a performance that was probably stacked a lot of
00:22moments together I think if we start thinking then automatically you're going to get a win based on that then
00:27I don't think that's where we are in our journey.
00:29We need to go and back it up and again it's going to be a different challenge and I think
00:33the last time we were away from home in England look at the start we had and again the emotional
00:39control going to Ireland is a different sort of stress point for us but it's exciting and I think this
00:44is a really good test for us on that development piece.
00:48They've got threats everywhere I mean obviously well drilled team but yeah for us it's building from a performance we
00:55did against Scotland and trying to implement that into Ireland and it's going to be a big ask but no
01:03we're looking forward to it.
01:04I think that's in any sport at the minute if you lose or you get one bad result there's definitely
01:08a crisis but look they've got outstanding coaches outstanding players they've got lots of experience lots of experience of playing
01:16in big test matches but also big European cup finals British Lions they've got stacked with British Lions so I
01:23think for teams like Ireland you have a little bump in the road they always come back.
01:27I enjoy playing with Joe we have a good relationship off the pitch as well but yeah for more games
01:34you play with any centre partnership you get a feel of what you do and get more of a relationship
01:41and you hopefully play better and the more games you play.
01:45There was a lot of tough lessons from England and it's going to be a great opportunity to see if
01:49we have learned from that and I think even in the Scotland game though the crowd were incredible and it
01:55was one of the best experiences that the team and I've had like in any sort of sport so the
02:01crowd remains but I think even in the first part of that game you look at there's a good D
02:06set we're unlucky to give a penalty away from where we felt there was probably a knock on it should
02:10we know but while they kick to the corner we lose Joe to a yellow card and then we still
02:15have a knock on it.
02:15We still respond we go up and the crowd play a massive partner but I think the adaptation piece was
02:19we've had a yellow there was a breathing space and we went up the other end and scored we took
02:25the game to Scotland which was which was massive so I think all these little bits of growth we need
02:30to make sure we're looking harder than why and how we go about it but like you said it's going
02:37to be I'm excited to see how we go and I think the boys are starting to grow in confidence
02:42and belief in what they're doing and they're always
02:45speaking about how we can win even more moments in the game and back that up and probably it's the
02:50most we backed it up was against Scotland so it's something that's it's going to be an amazing opportunity and
02:56challenge for us to go to Dublin to see if we can build on this performance.
