00:01Well, well, well, all is happening around the world. Have you noticed?
00:11When you notice what is happening around the world, you understand the power of people's different perspectives and creativity while
00:22you're slumbering.
00:27The value of now is about exposure, about knowing, about being informed, about being in the know of what exactly
00:44is prevailing around the world.
00:52Because you don't only go into sleep and think the world is going to change as you wish.
01:02Yes, you made that vote. He's the leader you voted for.
01:12But that vote doesn't go with your name on it.
01:18And so-and-so is the one who voted on this day or this time for this leader.
01:27But it enables the leadership and the leadership to remember that someone cares.
01:42Most of the times we don't get it all.
01:49Not because we can't get it all.
01:50Not because there is more.
02:00Yeah.
02:02There is more to what people think and how exposed they are.
02:18It's what you say.
02:20It's what others say.
02:24But how are your actions different from others' actions?
02:34Weather makes us think differently.
02:42It helps us remember how to preserve the heat on our skin.
02:58Then it reminds us how to actually stay in a more hotter environment with all the heat inside our body.
03:19That's where you find that if you live around the icy areas, you're always putting on more than one clothes.
03:28If you live around the hot environment, you're always in very light clothes.
03:39That means you're exposed to the knowledge of how you can live and maintain your body around those environments.
03:53The same logic applies to business and economics.
03:59The more exposed you are, the more better you are at negotiating in every business.
04:10Before you sign on the approval of having received whatever you received for a service or whatever you offered.
04:27You always have to think how exposed you are, how exposed the client is and the product they are taking.
04:39Have you informed them just like a doctor prescribes the medication?
04:47Are they the ones going to use it or is it someone else?
04:55That's all in consumer protection and value addition to everyone, to the economy we live, to the communities we sustain,
05:08to the survival we toil.
05:16Who is the end user?
05:19Because if you know the end user, then you know how better they can perceive it or receive it.
05:31It happens in very many lines of work.
05:34People don't notice but it's really, really vital.
05:41If you're opening up a business, the basics you look at, what audience are you targeting?
05:49If your audience involves having children, how prepared are you?
05:55Do they have their own environments?
06:02Because it's known that everything you see is because of what is there.
06:21Sometimes our eyes meet a lot of things and those a lot of things are because of the environment that
06:29we're walking in.
06:37You live a life where you walk into perspectives and people's different ideologies where you have to ask them.
06:45We have to really, really understand them.
06:49Like in many times in my line of work, graphics work, the doctoring work.
06:55I mean, I ask my clients, what type of brand are you looking at?
07:00What type of audience are we looking at?
07:03Who are we speaking to?
07:06And why are we speaking to them?
07:09Before I even start clicking anywhere to see what kind of colors are going to be involved,
07:16what kind of design is going to be involved on any artwork,
07:21what kind of materials they're going to print on,
07:24what kind of environments that are going to be marketed through.
07:29I mean, all that.
07:30Now that's exposure.
07:32How exposed are you on a particular topic or in a particular situation or in a particular value addition moment?
07:42How exposed are you?
07:46Plus your exposure.
07:50Because your exposure is more welcome than actually the unknown.
08:04You can't tell.
08:10What you already know is what pushes forward to find out what is possible.
08:21Transcription.
08:26I'm here, I'm shopping for a toddler.
08:32Then you know what to shop for a toddler.
08:34I'm here, I'm shopping for my 16-year-old daughter.
08:38Then you know what to shop for your 16-year-old daughter.
08:41Oh, I'm here, I'm shopping for my parents.
08:44Then you know what to shop for your parents, there's choices, that is exposure.
08:49You can't say you are buying your parents a gift and then you walk in with a doodling
08:58kit.
09:01What are they going to use a doodling kit for?
09:05Because a doodling kit actually is for toddlers, now that's exposure.
09:14Before you give a client a particular service, how exposed are they to actually use that service
09:23or exploit that service to their benefit more?
09:31In web designing or web development, we ask them, do you want a website, do you want
09:36a platform, do you want an app?
09:41What services do you want to deliver?
09:46Then you sit down and then draft it up and then give it to them, serve it up.
09:55When you serve it up, they have to choose.
10:00The challenge comes in when they are not exposed, when they don't want to listen.
10:07Because there somebody says, no, I just want this thing, come up with anything.
10:15Come up with anything has no definite end.
10:25And they can't come up with anything all the time, because they don't know where your brand
10:32goes.
10:32Now that's where exposure comes in from.
10:36I don't know where your perspective or your vision is on the brand, and I have my limitations
10:44on how and what I should be offering.
10:50I always tell my friends who walk in, I mean, you need a website, but the same domain like
10:59facebook.com is the same domain you're buying, but what is involved behind it and the technicalities
11:06of what is involved in building a system like facebook, like whatsapp, like instagram is more
11:16than what is involved in building a system for maybe a tour company or a jewelry store
11:22or a beauty store or a clothing line.
11:29That's exposure.
11:30exposure.
11:30You have to let your clients understand that okay, I want a particular service, but this
11:38service was designed to work this way, and if it doesn't get all the necessary way or
11:48arms of work, it doesn't deliver, then you don't say it doesn't work.
11:56You need, you didn't ask how it works.
12:01You didn't pay all the attention to the arms of how the system works.
12:13Sometimes it's as simple as noticing.
12:17Yes, it's a jewelry store, yeah, but there are technicalities of a site of a jewelry store.
12:25What do you want your service seekers to do?
12:30Is it a fully self-automated space or is it an admin-automated space where the admin authorizes?
12:47All those who is buying and why are they buying?
12:53That's all in exposure, you as a person selling a service, how exposed are you?
13:08Just like you go to a shop and buy a condom.
13:12If I'm in the shop and I'm selling a condom, why would a baby who walks in always to buy
13:23a sweet, not even a kilo of sugar, come in and say, hey, I want a condom today?
13:30That would pose curiosity around me, the service provider, irrespective of the money they have
13:40to buy that condom, because at that age they shouldn't be buying a condom.
13:47Exposure.
13:50How patient are you at understanding people's different goals?
13:56Why are they buying that?
14:04Service providers are protected by very many laws and mostly in the line of graphics and
14:15platforms and all that.
14:19Anyone can come in, I need a service and you're like, okay, we need a service, what service
14:26do you need?
14:27I need a website, I'm doing events, it's this and this.
14:34But then their real intention isn't events.
14:38Then after giving them an events website, let's say the dummy, then they are like, okay,
14:46can we put it live?
14:47Can it be live?
14:49Can it go live?
14:49Zahlen?
14:50Then you give them the calculations of what's supposed to be live and all that.
14:58But because they don't give you the time to actually do it yourself, they end up arguing.
15:08It's not working.
15:10It is not how it should be.
15:12i find hiccups most of the times
15:17like those sites cover spaces client comes in hey need such and such a platform you build it
15:25and you're like hey it's time to move it online the space or the one hosting them has no idea
15:34of how that thing works the reseller offline his work is to sit in that shop and sell a domain
15:46then sell a hosting space that isn't actually is very limited
15:58to what your client needs so that's where you come in and then explain to the client no
16:05you want a site like facebook you need such and such servers you need such and such firewalls
16:11you need such and such engines you need such and such renderers you need such and such this you
16:17need such and such that yeah today we live in a world of ai but many people actually haven't
16:26understood that the ai works with the speed of your internet a lot is hindered by the speed of
16:36your internet today because the speed of the internet is actually the speed of your communication
16:47yeah you won't always be alone in this world where you won't receive information
16:56because if you seek information someone is always providing the real one the truth you're seeking for
17:10so keep seeking for the seekers actually understand and live in the value of now better than those who don't
17:20seek
17:24keep imagining better differently keep changing the world create every silver spoon around you
17:45because every soldier on the front line remembers the time when you will be alone
17:55when everyone around you is gone and you're the one with a gun and you have to move on
18:00you have to stand for your country you can be there and the entire battalion is gone
18:09will you also just go vanish
18:17it's the life we live
18:21while no one else is caring about what information you're receiving
18:26how better you are at what service you're doing someone else cares
18:34and in that caring someone is asking you to actually be more exposed than you've ever been
18:44you're holding a phone yes the moment you turn on the internet a lot pops in
18:51there are artists there are pop-ups there everything coming in your friends in whatsapp is sending
18:57you all the group messages that you don't even need at the particular moment of time but how mindset prepared
19:07are you to go through all those moments and also stay on track with your everyday life because you have
19:15your own daily programs you have your own daily routines
19:19now that's exposure
19:21distractions will always happen notifications will always pop up on your phone
19:26but how and when do you pay attention to them
19:35some stay online 24 7 because they understand how to make money online 24 7 without moving
19:43that's exposure
19:45while I was growing up
19:48a lot was said on people who work online
19:51now those ones are
19:52they are into forgery
19:54they are faking everything
19:57they are
19:58thieves
19:58they are stealing these
20:00they are fraudsters
20:02but then by the time they were saying that
20:06I was around
20:07grade
20:09grade 10
20:11something like that
20:12grade 10
20:13grade 11
20:14and I was using an internet cafe
20:16I could pay
20:18500 shillings for 30 minutes
20:20no 500 could give you 15 minutes
20:241,000 could give you 30 minutes
20:28so I could use my 1,000 instead of
20:32sitting in a matatu
20:34to travel from Chewando to Kampala
20:37I used that
20:38to pay in an internet cafe
20:41there were two cafes there
20:43one was Lotus internet cafe
20:45the other one was Cyber World
20:47so they could always go into one of the other
20:51below the state house road
20:53yeah
20:53these days where there is around
20:55is it Watoto church around there
21:00yeah
21:02now if somebody was in grade 10
21:05grade 11
21:06with that kind of information
21:09with that kind of exposure
21:11honestly
21:13at this age
21:15they understand the internet differently
21:21it's not because they are older than you
21:24but because they saw differently
21:36there are very many many many many many platforms that were online
21:41ever since then
21:42that don't exist
21:44but it's not because the owners of those platforms didn't have a goal like
21:50Mark Zuckerberg has
21:52a goal like
21:53the former owner of X has
21:59but because their platforms were into other things that actually
22:05probably couldn't stand the storm of the now
22:09that they were creating
22:12platforms like IM1
22:15it used to distribute latest English music like
22:19I could be down here in Africa
22:22and
22:24make sure I receive all the latest music
22:26every week
22:27every day
22:31but then
22:32I couldn't
22:33understand
22:34how these guys do it
22:37free of charge
22:38just download it
22:39then they use warp trick
22:42I don't know if warp trick is still alive
22:44today
22:45I mean
22:45that
22:46domain was
22:48monster
22:50lyrics
22:50audios
22:51you can just
22:52get anything you want
22:57so that's how life changes
23:01there is a lot that is online
23:03that you haven't researched about
23:05when did the AI actually start being active online
23:11just like the CGI technology
23:13not every director or producer can actually execute a movie through CGI
23:20and deliver it to the audience
23:24not everyone is going to embrace the AI today as you embrace it
23:29because the AI actually also takes more information to give you better results
23:36it takes punctuality
23:38it takes
23:39it takes
23:39it takes
23:41specifications
23:41it takes details
23:44so if you live in a world where you like
23:48it will give me what I want without telling it anything
23:52it won't
23:57it's designed to actually understand those who understand it better
24:05that's why there was an introduction of a computer driving license some time back
24:10a complete course that takes you through the typing speed
24:16texts punctuality different types of ways of running that machine
24:20and
24:21just like you have a driver's license
24:23or just like you
24:24uh
24:25receive your flying license
24:27yeah
24:29a theater's license
24:35oh this makes me feel
24:38a sour kind of a bit
24:41yeah
24:41yeah
24:49always be
24:50in the know
24:51of what service
24:52or what
24:53you're seeking
24:54because that's the only way you're going to benefit
25:00if you're not informed
25:01if you're not exposed
25:04trust me
25:06that's the way it will go
25:07you'll always be buying
25:11the fake product
25:12and saying it doesn't work
25:15you'll always be receiving the wrong services and say
25:18it doesn't work
25:20you'll always be seeking the wrong information and say
25:26it's not there
25:28it doesn't exist
25:32be exposed
25:34be exposed
25:35be in the know
25:39do your research
25:44as you're seeking and demanding and desiring to know that is how the person next to you is also desiring
25:51to know that
25:53just like you sit in an internet cafe
25:56the person next to you on that computer is doing something totally different
26:01it can either distract you
26:05or
26:08add something to you
26:09depending on how
26:12your eye angles are
26:14and why actually your eye angles are ending up on that screen
26:22that's why we say
26:24whatever your eyes are meeting
26:27it's up to your brain
26:29to digest
26:31that's the value of now
26:34feed
26:35your eyes
26:37on the vital
26:40and nourish your brain
26:42with the vitest
26:45that's the only way you survive
26:48in this more innovative world
26:53no one hates you
26:58it's your exposure
27:00that limits you
27:05a lot of things are happening out there in the world
27:09and it's not because
27:12you know
27:13or you should know
27:14or you should have known
27:17it is because
27:19those who are actually involved
27:22or exposed
27:24know why
27:27they had to let themselves
27:30get exposed
27:32to that level of information
27:34or that level
27:37of openness
27:41people choose
27:44some are shy to become celebrities
27:46stand on that stage
27:47and make that money
27:49others are yearning
27:51to stand on that stage
27:53and make that money
27:55but they don't even have a know-how
27:59to always try harder
28:01instead of
28:04thinking
28:06of the limitations
28:08think of the possibilities
28:10beyond the limitations
28:12because that's how the world moves
28:14that's how innovative the world is
28:18believe in that tomorrow
28:21by valuing
28:22the now you're in
28:25because this now is because of that value
28:29of then
